    FYI thumb screws are allowed on IDPA holsters now.

      @@TheGentlemanGunner I was going to bring that also, the rule has been changed and you can use thumb screws, I ran them at the Liberty Match(T3) last year and they had no issues with it.

    I shot yesterday’s match with a Colt .38 Super in an early 70s vintage Milt Sparks holster. Worked OK.

    I run a Comp International holster, DAA IDPA pouches and Kore Garrison 1.75 ratchet belt . But I hadn’t thought about using a spare RHT that I changed out from my IPSC rig - maybe I’ll try that - just cause it’s got a cool custom print… Vest is the cheapest lightest thing that will just cover my muzzle.

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 3 měsíci

      Those Comp-Tacs are hard to beat… I probably would’ve gone that route over the RHT if I could’ve found one for a full since 5” that’ll cover a full length dust cover.

    Great video, I’ve shoot both IDPA and USPSA, I like USPSA better, I’ve noticed the IDPA shooters are a little uptight for some reason.

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 3 měsíci

      That’s definitely a culture thing among the two orgs. I actually prefer USPSA from a gameplay perspective… but our local IDPA group is what keeps me in it for sure

    Good stuff. Feels like every other competition video is a 2011 of some sort then followed by a CZ S2.
    Is this a reflection on reality?

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 17 dny

      Broadly speaking, 2011s are popular in CO/ESP and it became magnified when they loosened up on equipment ruleset over the past couple of years. But I know plenty of solid shooters still using Glocks and those guys tend to be a little more disciplined with developing both their shooting skills and match craft.

    • @rurouniad
      @rurouniad Před 17 dny

      @@TheGentlemanGunner it’s just something I noticed. 2011 and S2 also probably get the most clicks for videos. So let’s not disparage anyone.
      What few matches I’ve attended local to me I’ve been the only Glock guy. But I have only seen 2 2011s.
      Usually see a lot of S2 , 320s and 92 performance believe it or not.

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 17 dny

      @@rurouniad that is interesting and I’d have to keep in mind each club is different. Would like to see more 92x out there as we have one shooter that shoots the defensive version. Canik and Walthers are also popular out our way

    Hey humble marksman just did a video on your MPA LOC. Do you know the level of aggressive grips your ordered on it? Thanks

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 2 měsíci

      They’re A3, currently the most aggressive. The MPAs in this video are A2.

      @andrew40000 Před 2 měsíci

      I just got the DS9 IDPA model but I’m not a fan of the A2 grips. Very slick in my opinion. MPA says they’re not selling the A3s separately which is very frustrating considering how much money I spent.

    • @TheGentlemanGunner
      @TheGentlemanGunner  Před 20 dny

      There is no open division in IDPA. Ported and comped gun are allowed in IDPA in the following divisions so long as they make weight and fit in their respective divisions… Carry Optics (CO), Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) and Conceal Carry Pistols (CCP).
