- The first Scania to be marketed in South America, precisely in Brazil, arrived in 1951 with the L 65 in chassis configuration. Some time later, in 1959, and due to its success, the factory was installed in that country, which produces the current range of trucks that the brand sells throughout the region.
In those years, Tucumán was eighty percent dedicated to the sugar industry, so having an automotive plant that manufactured an excellent product like a Scania was something extremely new. After clearing up doubts and betting on the country, the Swedish company began construction of the factory.
The place chosen was the town of Colombres, in the department of Cruz Alta, Tucumán, where the plant operates to this day, which left aside the production of trucks and is one of the model machining centers of the brand at a global level. which supplies different markets, including the headquarters in Sweden.
Once the factory was completed, it was time for the presentation. With a show set up and full of people, the idea was for the L one to go through a paper door that covered the entrance gate to the plant and appear before the eagerly awaited public. The announcer in charge of the event called him to come on stage, but the truth was that the truck would not start.
After several attempts, finally the L one achieved the much desired ignition and effortlessly destroyed the paper door. “Afraid that it would stop and not start, the driver kept it accelerating. Si algo no tenia el 111 era justamente comodidad, y menos comparandolo con su rival directo el Fiat N1. Pero mecanicamente si es el mejor camion que hubo en la Argentina. Despues en 1982 corrijieron ese defecto con creces con las cabinas de serie 2 y 3, haciendo que lo que ya era muy bueno fuera PERFECTO!!!!

Así és: un fierro total en todo centido, menos en cabina y comodidad, yo nunca manejé uno😕 pero e estado sentado adentro de el de un vesino que tiene uno y otro vecino tenía uno hecho una pinturita pero decia que era invivible. Yo e manejado algunos 1114 y año 67, y es un auto moderno comparado con el scania.
Si de entrada hubieran tenido una cabina vivible hubieran tenido mil veces mas exito arrasaban con todo.
Para cuando salieron los 112 y 113 ya habian modernizado todas las otras marcas y por eso ya no acaparó todo porque ya se ponía al apar del resto.
Lamentablemente siendo el mejor del mundo llegó tarde.

Que gran video, sin embargo scania es de capitales suecos (empresa sueca) y no argentina. Si hablamos de orgullo nacional, ¿no deberia ser una empresa argentina con capitales argentinos ?
