What an AWESOME return! This kind of thing really raises the bar on finding treasure. I did a return on a wedding ring that was lost in 1952 and it took weeks to find the closest living relative. but it did make the average, everyday finds a bit less satisfying.
I know what you mean!! The returns are so gratifying!!! It's like when I was metal detecting in Scotland. I was finding Roman silver, piles of coins from the 1600's and earlier.... And then I come back to the states and think about how it's so crazy that I'd get excited about a wheat penny! 😂
What a great story. Wish there was more people like you. Guy sounded pretty grateful. Plus the other treasures were a bonus. Thank you for being so helpful.
Outstanding video and Pat on your back for returning that ring. I've just started watching your channel and I really love your videos. As I've told you before that production is great.
I found one once. It was lost on and old army parade field. I the school was in South Carolina the ring was in Georgia. I found the owner he was in Florida. He said he thought he lost it when he went swimming in a lake in Georgia. I said nope on a parade field. He told me he lost it 42 years ago. I mailed it to him with tracking. He got it.
Thanks for the sub!!! I’ve been doing things like this for years, but only recently started recording them. There will be plenty more videos like this to come!
Truly incredible story, Shawn. I'm glad that I was able to help in some small way to help you find Mark. I hope one of the papers in Sarasota or Atlanta picks up the story!
Great stuff. I was on Fort Myers Beach today. Met a woman who said the police were up on the beach taking a report recently for a lady who lost her deceased mothers emerald necklace. If you and the boys find it should be on file with the Lee County Sheriffs. I metal detected with my equinox 800. Found a penny from 1964 and a gold plated pendant no owner info. Its my new hobby and will be following you. On vaca from the jersey shore and flew down with my detector. Might check out lovers key tomorrow. Will be following you.
@@DetectFlorida that is soooo cool. I sent your site to a friend of mine who's ring was lost back in 1988 off the coast of Kenya. Maybe she will get one of these calls some day!!!!!
You are an amazing person Shawn! I loved your reaction when you found that ring! It rang up really nice too! Now I want a Blue Nemo, lol! Good job buddy! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Joe. I do most of my hunting in shallow water that doesn't require dive gear or the nemo. I usually only bust it out for ring recoveries. I'm thinking that I might use it more often now. Its a great tool to have!
Yes. I have two, and my newest one(brand new) had a collapsed hose that restricts my breathing a lot. I have it sitting in a box, ready to be sent in for service
That’s my uncle! Great work! I know it means a lot to him.

Thanks Chris! I wish you luck!!! FMB is a great place to find jewelry!
Nice job bud! Do you wear gloves while fanning? I highly recommend some. Saved me from more than a few sharp items.
I occasionally wear gloves. It really depends on where I am. If it's a rocky area, I'll always wear them. Not with soft sand
Bellisimo ese anillo! Wow
so glad you found a ring that is a great recovery
Thank you!
Absolutely Fabulous episode, 👍
Awesome 👏
EPIC return Shawn!!! #detectingRoCkStAr
😮 Wow 😊

It would be great to see when the guy got the ring back if it still fit ! LOL

SCORE 😎👍
That was fantastic. I wonder if his father is still alive to hear the news? :)
I graduated from E. Lansing Highschool in 1985. Did you find an owner to that ring????
I did find the owner!
Do that many people really pull the tabs off of their cans? I've never thought of pulling one off myself. Never would see a reason to. ✌️
They're freaking EVERYWHERE lol
that's a great story and video. Do you get a lot of use for the Blu3 or is most of your hunting done wading?
Thanks Joe. I do most of my hunting in shallow water that doesn't require dive gear or the nemo. I usually only bust it out for ring recoveries. I'm thinking that I might use it more often now. Its a great tool to have!
😊
Have you ever had issues with the nemo?
Yes. I have two, and my newest one(brand new) had a collapsed hose that restricts my breathing a lot. I have it sitting in a box, ready to be sent in for service
