Squarepusher can always be relied upon to deliver one of the strongest "Fuck you"'s to the mundane, pedestrian or derivative forms of music. He's one hell of a bright light.
Part of the main melody reminds me of "Wayward Son" by Kansas. This song is the ultimate sound orgy and explodes with sonic subsistence in my aural face holes.
Oooh.. check out Tundra and Vic Acid, nux vomica (all squarepusher tracks) and then look up 'friend track' by Chaos A.D. (squarepusher) and then "cow cud is a twin" by aphex twin
I am so glad and grateful that I live in time where those two are still producing music. Ultravisitor for 34587345653478953 time in the past 7 years...
Master at analogue, electric synth manipulation. This genre (AFX, u-Ziq, BoC, Squarepusher) is quite literally the best as far is extreme intricate balance of sound per noises. Amazing shit.
@@Frightex555 What do you think are the best Autechre albums? I love Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and BoC but could never get into them, and really want too.
The cd didn't come out of the player for a year and that's not because it got stuck there! If you ever tried to make any music like this you'd know what a special goddamm album this is. He did this before there were plugins and libraries with the sounds and breaks. He fucked his equipment up so it could give him the sounds he needed.
He used tons of Reaktor but yeah, he was still kicking major ass on previous albums when he only had reel-2-reel and a sh-101 and an akais900 or whatever sampler
He could take an amateur's amount of production knowledge and still make a masterpiece using his creativity. I bet he'd take the mistakes he made and make them sound artistic (such as clipping or misplaced drum hits.)
Love the amen carpet-bombing at the end. Total destruction. Also, it's kinda funny that you can hear someone in the crowd say "Squarepusher sucks" in the intro crowd noise.

Be in auto fa brutto qsta track.. però a piedi si guarda con gli occhi di William Blake.😅
Ok bud.
I think he just wanted to make a tune. And that’s what he did.
It is Holy music. The ending certifies this.
That outro (if you can call half a track an outro) is stunning. Definitely his masterpiece.
Yeah... one of many many masterpieces of his. Tundra 4!
Sounds like he sampled Crystal Castles.
@@transamination Which track do you think?
@@dansmith3463 I was thinking Untrust Us but it can't be because this album came out in 2004 which is before Crystal Castles I think.
Arguably the best track ever made.
I've always thought so. But I'll always have a place in my heart for tracks like "Tundra".
This and TetraSync 🔥🔥squarepusher at his best
@@hitkid2456Tundra 4 mate
Absolutely I would love to go and hear this live somewhere beautiful
This is his Masterpiece.
his moonlight sonata
+Timothy Stratton Moonlight Sonata sucks shit, this is like the seven Piano Concertos hypersmashed into a single entity.
Julius Caesar steinbolt is his masterpiece
Phreaker1997 oooooooh I don't knew man. Steinbolt is one of the most savage things I've ever hear. This tune transcends!
the complexity of His music amazes me.
3:37 love the breakbeat scanning presentations...
for me, this is one of the masterpieces of Tom Jenkinson, a constant explotion of geniality... sublime
It's finally over.
I can't feel my asshole.
+SimplyHaffar Always Haffer! FeelsBadMan
I still play this track when I want to emerge from the rubble of a broken world : )
Good solution😊
re-cobbled
at the ending my brain just starts to breathe and puff up) love you Tom, thanks for all
This is one of the most underrated tracks ever considering it's one of the best breakbeat tracks ever
vic acid, tundra. nux vomica. he's got tonnns of breakbeat tracks. this one is beautiful and very moving... he's so good.

Right on, even cassette is fine with me, only it's not so easy to play 'em nowadays.
This might just be one of my favorite Squarepusher tracks!
Feels like no other, this song is beautiful
aphex and him are so ridiculously ahead of time it scares me
There's no such thing as being 'ahead of time' in music.
don't forget Autechre
Part of the main melody reminds me of "Wayward Son" by Kansas. This song is the ultimate sound orgy and explodes with sonic subsistence in my aural face holes.
lol, I can hear it now you've pointed it out
extraordinary. must have been a huge amount of work and creativity flowing into this one, till it was finished.
Oh shit. First time listening to squarepusher and this is insane

one of his best
I get a weird kick out of trying to imagine what Johann Sebastian Bach would think and say if someone took him to the future and played this to him.
Piotr Lubczyński I always ask "what would Bach think?" when I here morden era masterpieces
I think he'd think it was good.
tbh he'd probably be more confused than anything. "what is going on with the drums?" for example
He would be just beyond confused, and probably wouldn't really understand anything beyond the synthesized melodies

you are not worthy of the music you now know.
why is that?
Think about what he said for a second. Are ANY of us worthy of the music that we choose to enjoy?
Круто!!!
The lead riff that starts in the 3rd min is eerily similar to Kansas carry on my wayward son's opening riff
The backward Melody reminds me a lot of the second Death stranding trailer OST
I like it
Hope when he hits bigtime radiohead could make that comeback they deserve . Enjoy everyone !!!

the melody that starts playing at like 2:58, from where is that sampled? i know i recognise it.
