First Person 2017: Rae Goldfarb

  • hrough the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was recorded on April 13, 2017. It features Rachel Goldfarb, who was born in Dokszyce, Poland, in 1930. From 1939 through 1941, she lived under Soviet occupation. Following the German invasion of the Soviet Union, she lived under the Nazis. Rachel and her mother survived the liquidation of the Dokszyce ghetto in hiding and joined a group of partisans.

    My family and I were able to attend this taping. What a great message and I'm so glad to expose my children to the stories of people who persevered to not only survive, but to thrive. Thank you for hosting this important series!
