Thank you so much, George! Have a great Sunday!
Great review, thanks both!
Thank you for watching!!
finally got around to playing this game and I agree with your assessment. After the first round I was left thinking "and I do this three more times?" Although our first game with 3 players only took just under 2 hours
Thank you for sharing your experience. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for us. It seems that we are not the only ones!
I have just Subscribed. I really like the review format and the recommendation.
Thank you! We hope you enjoy the rest of the content too! Have a great day!
Unfortunately I have been hearing a lot of disappointed people mentioning the same thing you both touched on about this game. I am a Mindclash fan and had high hopes for this game, but it does fall flat. I was thinking how to open the game up and make it what I had hoped it would be. I think some kind of card/engine building could have helped... IE replace a basic card in your hand when you heal a patient with a more powerful one... something to show your progress getting stronger as the next Septima.
The change you suggest - replacing cards with more powerful ones - sounds intriguing! Arguably, getting progressively more powerful is partially achieved by the witches' abilities in your coven and the spell cards (which, by the way, are quite interesting). Still, we didn't get the satisfaction that we were expecting
Also felt VERY disappointed with the base game without expansions.
BUT the full game with expansions had a great flow to it and felt well balanced. Didn’t have to worry about witch hunters because of the shapeshifting which also unclogs the game by freeing up actions as well as reducing suspicion overall.
Would have to disagree on this one
Disagreement is healthy! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Given Mindclash, our expectations were quite high. We are glad that you enjoy the game, and we do know others that enjoy it too. It is just not for us!
Great review. Septima is the biggest disappointment of 2023 for me. It wins my award for the most beautiful game you would never want any of your friends to play.
We simply think it is also a function of the expectations that we have Mindclash games.
