This channel has quietly become the People's Champ of griddle CZcams channels. Man of the people!
🤣🤣🤣🍻🍻🍻 I'm just trying my best.
I would trade my neighbor for Johnny - ANY DAY!
Johnny Griddle, the people's champ. Here in Mexico we don't celebrate Memorial weekend, but I'm going to make an exception and make it a hotdog festival for the family. You know, to reciprocate you guys celebrating 5 de Mayo.
@@Cmblanco01 lol that sounds fair to me!!!!
Absolutely! You shouldn't have to pucker your ass while griddling. Have fun! Burn stuff! Apologize later! Griddling is fun as shit!
"WE THE PEOPLE" have spoken and we say Johnny for President.
🤣🤣🤣
Johnny, as your doctor (MD) I'm going to set up an appointment for Monday at 8 AM. We're going to check your sodium and cholesterol levels. You truly are a mad man!
🤣🤣🤣 probably not a bad idea.
Hey Doc. If you follow this channel you might want to check your levels too😉
@@nighthawk_predator1877 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@JohnnyBrunet I've been following this channel religiously for so long that I have to get blood work done once a month! Thanks Johnny!
@@mikedefalco7791 🤣🤣🤣
"It's not rocket science, just hot dogs, man." 😂
Thanks Jay!!!! I really appreciate you taking time to watch.
Nathans for life!
Nathan - yes best. Hebrew National is a close second. Ball Park - WTF - those suck.
I remember getting Oscar Myer Hotdogs for very cheap. I almost threw when I ate them - I can't say they were hotdog flavor.
Thank you "man of the people" for all the "sacrificing" you do for us!!!!
You're welcome, all in a days work 🤣🤣🤣
Vienna Beef Hot dogs all the way for the win!
Congrats on 100,000K Jonny! Love your videos man.
thank you so much.
Hebrew national for the win!!! I love it! Ballpark is my favorite, too. Fantastic video before Memorial Day. I also like Sam's club hotdogs. Have a great weekend, my friend.👍👌
You have a great weekend as well.
Doing the lords work my friend! Our fine people in the hotdog reddit would approve of this content.
Thank you my friend. I had no idea there was a hotdog reddit. I'm off to go down a rabbit hole.
Sabertt natural casing, boiled is my go to.
Nathan's Hot Dogs are the best hot dogs I've ever had however I grew up on Sugardale hot dogs and Bar S hot dogs
Thanks for your commitment to this video and drinking beer with all the dogs . I feel better knowing I will not need to do so to give my guests the best dogs off the griddle. Keep up the great work!!
😄You're welcome payl.
Thanks for doing the test
Hot dogs and beer. The best. I remember upstairs at the Cal-Neva casino in Reno Nevada back in the day; hot dog and a beer (including the expensive options) for $1.50. I'd spend $20-$30 on them.
That's a deal I can get behind!
Admittedly, it's a regional "staple" from Buffalo New York where I was originally from, but Sahlen's is the best I've ever had, and they're mostly just sold in certain areas, Buffalo being one. These are definitely mostly done on a traditional charcoal or gas grill though, although I have personally made them on my Blackstone as well. I know there are a ton of good ones out there though, and it's largely personal choice. I love the "crisp snap" the Sahlen's has though. Great video man, now I'm hungry and was a hotdog on my Blackstone on an early Sunday morning. LOL.
Everyone should try a sahlens cooked almost black! You won’t be disappointed
its 12:30pm on a Monday and im just watching a guy eat hotdog what a world we live in.
lol so true. Imagine if you're the weirdo who made a whole video of you eating different hot dogs. Tanks for watching.
Thank you for your service 😊
Anytime, it's all in a days work.
Johnny, you’re the man!! Hebrew National is the bomb! Been my favorite for years. 👊🏼
I've never had a Hebrew dog but I will get some for this weekend because of you sir. Nice work fellow Buckeye.
Thanks man. And Go Bucks!
Cheers fellas…
Hail to the victors 😂

Anytime my friend.
A man of the People - 👍👍
Nathan’s for the win! Best tasting dog out there.
True man of the people! Love you Johny!
😁 thanks.
This is awesome!! The comparison America didn’t know we needed.
Heck ya!
Joey Chestnut those things! Oh we got beer and no mention of a glizzy, sir you get rewarded with a thumbs up.
Nice back yard!!! Thanks for Beer advice!! Still waitin for your Koozies. Just noticed your 100,000 subscribers....fan tastic!!!
I think the nostalgia factor really can come into play with which dogs people prefer. Cheers, and happy 100k🍻👍😊💯‼️
I totally agree.
"I don't want to eat 6 hotdogs and drink 4 beers." I was with you until you said this. Please don't come to my barbeque. I can't have that kind of negativity around my griddle.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That Cincy Lite Beer though, how’s it taste? Would love to have one to try. Where can we buy them?
@@kasperaquatics I got mine from Meijer. I thought they were good. Similar to most light beers. Probably closer to miller than bud.
@@JohnnyBrunet, nice. I’ll check out my Meijers here in Southern Indiana and see if they carry them. Thanks.
@@kasperaquatics anytime, I would assume they do. Depending on how far south you are you might be closer to cincinati then I am.
congrats on the 100k. I enjoy the channel and have learned a lot. Thanks
Thanks so much.
Hebrew National is my favorite. Great choice.😊👍🏽
The sacrifice you make for us! We love Schwiegerts, don't know if they are regional or not but they are delicious. Thanks for the video.
I appreciate you. Thanks.
Glad to help
Johnny, our hero!
Lol I do my best.
your content is spot on.
Thanks man.
Oh Johnny, It’s still the HUGE Costco dog that is the best. Split in half and griddled both sides. I was in heaven. And they make it smaller for normal folks.
I gotta try that one.
You chose wisely.
I only eat nathans. For me they taste 100% better than any other dog i have ever tried. You can get the jumbo versions.
The best hotdogs are the ones you have in the fridge at the time.
Interesting, I didn't know that.
When we lived in upstate New York the best all beef hot dog was White Eagle. Yes they where a little expensive but they where made locally.
Freakin' Uncle Rick going hard in the paint. That guy. Another awesome video, Johnny. Thank you. Happy Memorial Day!!
Thanks! You too!
Thank you for representing the people Johnny!!
Just trying to do my part for the every man.
I was disappointed at first I thought you were going to drink the water! I was like, but he has a beer right there?!
🤣🤣🤣
It’s been a minute since I’ve been on your channel, man I’m glad I stopped by! Awesome video brother!!!
Thank you so much!! Glad you calmed back and watched.
Loving the videos Johnny, you crack me up!😂
Thanks Kyle!
love it man
Favorite hotdog is a regional and nostalgia type of thing in my opinion. If you are from NYC, a great dog is different from someone from Chicago. What did you grow up will influence your thoughts.
so true Ty.
Oooooo yeah, I picked up my 2 little warming racks.
We like Sugardale Super Dogs. They are chicken and pork but they are good. Sometimes you can get uncured beef but it's hard to find. Worth the price.
Costcos Kirkland all beef hotdogs are a winner everytime.
Great video as always.
They all looked good . Thx for the comparison. I see the Hebrew nationals and always wanted to try them . Now I will.
I believe this is the greatest video ever uploaded to the CZcamss. Subscribed. Thanks for making the sacrifices for the rest of us.
Lol, thanks so much. In just out here trying to do my best to help the people out. No matter how many hit dogs and beers it takes.
Doesn't matter what's best. It's what you got.
Amen.
Congrats on 100k subscribers Johnny!
Thank you so much.
Kirkland, same ones they use in the clubs.
For years Ball Park is my favorite. I never liked Nathan’s though they are popular. Great video as always Johnny. You’re the go to for griddle cooking.
"I'm just going to eat 6 hot dogs today, I guess. That's where we're at." Johnny says that like it's a bad thing haha.
As a New Yorker, I gotta go with sabrett. The natural casing ones got that snap. Nathan's are a very close second. I'm lucky enough to live in Brooklyn where the first Nathan's still stands at Coney Island.
That's cool I'd love to go the stand one day. And yes the natural casing ones are fantastic. I left them out of this test because I didn't think it would be fair.
good vid dood!!!
Love it great video! 👍
Thanks buddy.
I love a charred dog (because of the texture) with as many condiments as the bun will hold
100k, heck yeah man!!!!
Thanks buddy!
anybody getting johnny's food at a cookout is lucky! grill on brotha
I had so many thoughts on this video that I never thought I’d have about hot dogs
Glad to see beer back in the vids!
That moment in life when you graduate to buying a pack of hotdogs that cost more than $1 is a thing of beauty!
The best topped hot dog when you’re spoiling yourself is as follows: baked beans, pickled red onions, pickled jalapeño
Lol I know it's so sad that I refused to spend one extra dollar for all those years. And yes I'll put pickled red onion and pickled jalapenos on anything!
Hello Johnny. Perfect video for the Summer Holidays. We like the Kirkland brand hot dogs at Costco. Now that you can buy them in the cooler case and make your own 1.50 Costco dogs at home. Back in the day, Costco would use Hebrew Nationals at their snack bars, but the rumor is that Hebrew makes the ones for Costco under the Kirkland Brand. I do like to split my dogs for the griddle. More surface area to get that good color. Plus, it opens up to allow more condiments to sit on the dog. Also like to cook the split dog on the flat side first and then flip it and place cheese on the cut side. Yummy! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy Memorial Day!
I've heard good things but never had them. I'll have to buy some Costco dogs.
l always butterfly my hot dogs and cook 'em that way. The kids love them like that. Congrats on 100k.
Ya that's a great way to do it.
I just smoked ribs for 6 hours now I’m throwing hot dogs on the coals thanks bro!
Hahaha hell ya!
Hebrew National for the win! That’s my pick too. That’s a good dog.
It sure was.
I did nearly this exact same experiment a few years ago. I had no preference going in, but I did at least the same top 4 - ballparks, Nathan's, Hebrew national, and Oscar Meyer. Maybe one or two more. I found ballparks to be the best. Obviously taste is subjective, but it's a fine experiment all the same.
Great minds think alike!
It’s Sahlen Hotdogs!!!!!! The ABSOLUTE BEST!!!
Sabretts is the best hot dog i have ever had
Love you brother! Thanks for taking the six dogs for us! This was a great one! My wife has to have Heinz.
Any time my friend. Thanks so much for watching
Koegel’s hotdogs are best!!! Skin on. They snap when you bite in to them🤤🤤🤤
You're the second person to reference that. I need to find some.
They have them at our Meijer in Cincinnati. Got them in Saginaw for the first time and LOVE them.
Also great choice on Cincy Light!
@@PatrickGrimes I’m from Saginaw! That’s crazy:)
THIS is the answer! Koegel's Viennas. Serve the curve!
@@Nonerequired serve the curve!!!! 🌭🌭🌭
Six dogs that’s Taking one for the team 😂
Growing up going to Cincinnati Red’s games, I am partial to a Kahn’s Big Red Smokey.
100% agreed 👍 !!! Hebrews the way to go. Once we tried that Weiner we never looked back !!! Krogers Dogs are amazing also !!
If i'm not doing a chili dog, i'm going straight mustard only, or if I have some good, fresh, home made salsa, mustard plus salsa.
Howdy Johnny, appreciate the sacrifices you make for us to determine the best tasting hot dog for Memorial Day. Not really a fan of hot dogs since the racoon scene in the movie Great Outdoors. Have A Day! ;~)
It’s about your mother accusing my mother of buying cheap hot dogs.
🤣🤣🤣
Koegel's Viennas. Try them once, you aren't going back to those others. Not available in the store outside of Michigan I don't think, but we get them shipped. They're worth the effort.
Congratulations on 100k!
Thank you so much
I blinked, and Johnny passed his first big threshold.
@@JohnnyBrunetCONGRATS, Johnny!
never heard of giardiniera, but will have to look for it. Never heard of that Sugardale dog either. Will keep my eyes peeled too.
Definitely give it a try.
Nice! I will grab a pack tomorrow of that winner!!!
"I'm not a quitter" is the phrase that earned me the nickname "Buffett".
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Once I tried the beef dogs as an adult, that was all she wrote. We still buy the uhhhh "economy" dogs for our kids but they are starting to wise up to that now. Most disappointing hot dog experience was trying a cheese dog (non-beef) after converting to the beef dog life. Remembered them so fondly but nope nope nope. I need to find some beef cheese dogs...
The old econo-dog lol. Ya I've had plenty of those as well.
First off not a huge fan of hotdogs. Always put ketchup on mine. However, I recently found something that beats ketchup on dogs and eggs. You have to try it, Johnny. It’s called Banana Sauce, get the spicy version, it’s from the Philippines. The regular, not so good, and I am generally not a spicy person.
Ballpark Beef Grillmaster are usually the great, big ones. Smaller dogs do two on a bun. Hebrew National and Nathan’s are both good. Been wrapping cheese around mine lately.
Thanks, I'll check that stuff out!
Truly a man of the people! Sugardale sponsors dollar dog night at Guardians games. So many memories there. My grandma always wanted her hot dog charcoal black. The only person I would cook a dog that way for. Hebrew National is a good choice. Stay hydrated!
There's always one person that wants it that way lol.
Try Millers brand. Totally my favorite. their polish dogs rock too
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you taking one for the team here to eat all those dogs and drink all that beer for the sake of the review.
Alright, I’m off to conduct my own review - minus the video, and the review. I may come back a bit drunk and farting up a storm. Brb
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aussie Dave in PA here brother & although I no longer eat Bread (Carnivore Diet) my fave Dog was always Bacon Wrapped & Deep Fried on a Roll with lots of Mayo :)
I like the sound of that.
Griddle idea - Tucson Sonoran Hot Dog
I've never had those, I'll look for them.
@@JohnnyBrunet in short, it’s a hot dog wrapped in bacon!
2am roller dog... = a dog from the day before. Great eats unless it burns the roof of your mouth like hotpocket!
lol so true!!!
I have some Nathan's dogs in the frig but I too really like Hebrew National and those will be awesome for Memorial Day weekend.
Yes they will Guy.
Koegel‘s viennas
This is the answer!
The power of not quitting!! no man ever wants to crush 6 hot dogs and 4 beers on a beautiful day
🤣🤣🤣🤣🍺 thank you I felt like most people didn't appreciate the hard work I had to put in. 🤣🤣
Tha ks for watching man.
Sabretts
If you can get your hands on Zweigle's Texas Pop Opens (Red), I highly suggest trying them, they're next level!
I'll look for them!
Nice Johnny - very entertaining!👍
Given the choices, I expected Hebrew National to win - quality dogs... Here in the N.E. we have Sabrett - more of a water dog than a grill dog, and avail in natural casings. While perhaps not the quality cuts of a H.N. but makes up for it with bangin' spices!
But probably *THE BEST* dogs (if you can find them near you) are Hatfield's - also in natural casings and killer spices! (These are sometimes sold under the corporate name of Clemens.)
Thanks! I've never heard of Hatfield's, I will have to look for them.
Ballpark is a classic
I like the Nathans Skinless Beef, and the 80/20 Beef/Pork made fresh from local butcher. Raw Doggin' em eh! Best way to test the flavor.
Lol yup raw doggin'😁😁😁
