The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come out in support of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar, alleging that Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal was the face of Bharatiya Janata Party’s conspiracy. Later, Kumar was detained by the Delhi Police from Kejriwal’s residence.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi said that all the allegations made by Maliwal against Kumar were baseless and untrue as she was sent by BJP to target Kejriwal. Delhi Police personnel along with a Forensic Science Laboratory team on Friday visited the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence. According to sources, police collected relevant CCTV footage of the alleged incident. Police also took Maliwal to the CM’s residence to recreate the crime scene of the alleged assault on her.
