- Hi, I am Oliver. In this video is my daily life in Tokyo.
This time I strolled around the new Azabudai Hills in Tokyo and the Yanaka area, which still retains some of Tokyo's nostalgic scenery.
Yanaka is also famous for its temples. Since it is not a famous temple, it is not crowded and visitors can spend a relaxing time. I liked "Hatsune Koji", a shopping street with old wooden arcades. It made me feel nostalgic and relaxed. Yanaka Ginza is a famous tourist spot. The nostalgic scenery of the shopping district will make you forget your busy days.
This time I purchased a mortar. I found a small mortar at Daiso, but I bought a larger one at Amazon.
Potato salad and egg sandwiches made in a mortar and pestle are easy. Both tastes have been familiar to families for a long time, and I felt nostalgic.
New places are nice, but I have found that I like old-fashioned places where many people don't stop to visit.

Perfect look into both modern and nostalgic/traditional. Personally, i prefer the nostalgic where you can sit with a beer and chat, listening to other people's stories and enjoy their company.
You dont get that in the modern places plus you have to make the most of the traditional buildings before they get torn down and another glass block is put there! Its heartbreaking that history has no place in Japan when it comes to these amazing buildings, i wish they would be preserved!
I too like to drink beer in places like this. Nostalgic places are decreasing in Tokyo, so old shopping streets have become precious.

Indeed, the objective world may only be illusion, but some illusions are helpful to peace of mind, for example the Japanese rock gardens of Kyoto. The dark rocks are like thoughts that drop into our minds and create ripple effects. Yet amidst the turmoil, there still can be great peace and beauty. Oliver, you are not 61, 0, or 100.
