They're making examples of direct translating each word in a German sentence to English.
The word order of a German sentence isn't always the same as English.
Also, some phrases can have really different meaning with a small change.
Ex:
"sehen" is the verb to "see". "Aus" more or less means "out". But, 'aussehen' is the verb "to look/appear". So, "ich sehe aus" = "i look" and flipping it to make a question "sehe ich aus?" = "do I look?"
Another one is "hören" which is the verb to "hear". And both "an" and "auf" mean "on", but "an" is vertically and "auf" is horizontally. The funny part is the meaning of "anhören" and "aufhören". To "listen" is "anhören", while to "stop/quit" is "aufhören".

2 about phones suggesting misspelled words - it's most likely because of the feature that learns the words you use, and suggests them. It tends to learn misspelled words if you commonly misspell them yourself because it thinks its just a word you use. You can turn that off somewhere in language settings.
