Mulan is my favorite Disney princess, though not my favorite film, given the lack of fantasy elements and minimal songs--but the remake was a travesty beyond words.
I hate how Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland seemed to set the standard for the looks of Disney remakes. Maybe Disney just has a thing for hiring directors that like greyish gritty styles, but seriously...every remake has this faded, dead feel to it. And even when they try to be colorful and warm, it still feels lifeless or robotic.

And it's probably just me but I didn't care for the original story or the three good fairies. It's like criticizing fanfiction for branching out only one area of a story.
@@emargaux Why call it a remake then? It's consistently referred to as a live action remake. As long as it's referred to as a remake we can criticize it as a remake. And you not liking the fairies sounds a bit more like a you problem.
There should be made a whole new category just for these pieces of trash alone.....the only live action remakes I personally kinda liked was Maleficent and Alice In wonderland
I really loved Belle from the original Disney Beauty and the Beast and I thought the live action was disappointing in that regard, but I did really like the set designs and a couple of new things they added (like the music box and expanded LeFou, not the beginning of the curse or Belle's dress though, didn't like that much). So middling sounds about right. It's hardly suprising that Cinderella is the best, Cinderella has pretty much the most adaptations of all fairytales followed by Snow White I think, they're both fairly simple stories that you can add or change pretty much anything you want. Ever After is still the best live-action version hands down though.
I agree with your assessments! Lion King didn't need to be remade because nothing about it is "live action" since no humans are involved, Mulan was terrible, and Cinderella is the best and actually a valuable addition! Don't waste your time watching Cruella. Both of the Emma actresses have fun with their roles, but the story never explains why Cruella becomes someone okay with killing puppies for her fur coats.
i think the cruella movie was just supposed to be a fun twist to cruella just like they did with maleficent, a reimagining of cruella not as someone who kills puppies for a fur coat, but a genius morally grey rebel fashionista
I think the point of these movies is to make money since they rely on nostalgia to fill up seats in the theaters. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with adding depth but I'm not gonna lie, I don't know if it's just the way these movies execute the new development but most of the changes aren't memorable imo I think what they did with Maleficent was really interesting though since it's from her point of view, I'll give that movie some credit! (I haven't seen Cruella personally, though I do know it's more about Cruella herself than the Dalmations, an origin story iirc??)
I think the problem is that depth didn't make sense with what they kept from the original film. Like they kept her giving those kids food but not expecting to pay, that worked in the original because she was naive to the outside world, here she's established to have left the palace a few times and even wants to be Sultana
*Seeing Him put my favorite remake Aladdin at 8* Big ooooof because I feel like this one is the one that has really stuck with me when watching it over the original. I still think the Original better but I like the remake more tbh!
If I had to rank these here it goes Great 😄 1. The Jungle Book 2. Cruella 3. Cinderella Good 🙂 4. Beauty and the Beast 5. Christopher Robin 6. Pete's Dragon Meh 😐 7. Aladdin 8. Maleficent 9. Mulan 10. Dumbo Bad 😡 11. The Lion King 12. Alice in Wonderland Belongs in the 🗑️ 13. Maleficent 2 14. Alice in Wonderland 2 15. Pinnochio
Disney: Our Cinderella live action remake is a success! Let's make more live action remakes and get more money! Also Disney: *doesn't puts actual work and love on their other live action remakes*
In my honest opinion, the only great Disney remakes are the Jungle Book, Christopher Robin, The Lion King, Cinderella, Cruella, Aladdin, and some that were made in the 90s.
My ranking Dumbo, I just love the original too much, so this was quite bad for me Lion King, some of the singing was fine, I guess, the rest was bad. Mulan: I liked the scenery, and some of the wire fu, but it does lack heart and I also liked the new Christina Aguilera song. Alice in Wonderland 10 year old me liked it, but now is just nope Beauty and the Beast I like the addition of the black death killing the mom as part of Belle's backstory, but I didn't feel the chemistry. Maleficent is fine, but nothing too impressive the performance by Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning is nice though. Aladdin while toning down Jafar as a villain, I quite enjoyed the other aspects of the movie. The Jungle Book: it was fun 101 dalmatians: it seemed more like a live action cartoon than all others and it was fun. Cinderella: my favorite one, they added where they needed to and for being a fairytale that is adapted so often by many studios, this one is great and I revisit it quite often, like it so easily could have been something like the Amazon Camila Cabello one, but instead we got a great movie.
I just noticed that Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito where also in Batman Returns which is another Tim Burton movie. Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito both got a chance to play the Batman villain know as the Penguin.
i feel like everyone's hope in live action was rekindled by cinderella. So everyone still watches the new live actions all hoping it would be as good as cinderella.
Yes, of course, Cinderella is the best Disney live action, because it preserved the heart of the story, deepening some things and giving us a great lesson in being brave and kind. Maleficent, the movie, incredibly reinvented the story now from the perspective of Maleficent who is as a hero or antihero at the same time.. My other liveactions that I did like are: The Lion King, Aladdin, Lady and Tramp and Beauty and the Beast, these weren't bad, I appreciated some changes and seeing the characters and history again.. In Dumbo, the new story was not bad at all for me, I just missed Timothy..
Franchises like kingdom heart and ABC’s once upon a time We’re able to get these fairytale Disney characters right! I also hate how safe the live action Disney remakes are I mean, it’s Disney but it’s ridiculous!
Totally on point with Cinderella, I just loved that film so much and I’m kinda sad that the same thing will probably not happen with my favorite one which is The Little Mermaid 😥. Excellent video.
I know this isn’t a popular opinion… but I actually love Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland. Yes, the CGI isn’t that good. Yes, a lot of the colors is drained out. And yes, the animation is not quite as charming as the original (though, it does have more life to it than The Lion King or Mulan or Peter Pan). However, the story is quite fascinating! I love that it’s about Alice learning to be herself, in a time where both her society and the Red Queen are trying to control her every move, and kill the imagination, whimsy, and creativity she dearly values in life. (In fact, I think the darker style of the movie further supports this plot!) The music is hauntingly beautiful, the lore of Wonderland (or “Underland”) is expanded in unique ways, and the characters are given their own lives (even if not enough time is spent with them to explore those lives.)
I heard from another video that Monstro's design in the remake is actually more accurate to how he was described in the book. He's meant to be a sea monster, not whale. I'm not defending the movie I just wanted to let you know that
Even then Monstro, or the Terrible Dogfish as he was called in the original novel, wasn’t over-detailed or exaggerated. He was still a simple sea monster by just being giant Dogfish. He didn’t need any tentacles or any extra crap to make him frightening.
I have bias for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland being a favorite of mine PURELY because of the wii game. I enjoyed that game so much, even now I have very fond memories of being lost in what to do but enjoying beating up the cards (and thinking alice is annoying HAH). Its nostalgic for me, even if I don't like him nor his work as much as I once did.
7:35 They made Monstro an actual sea beast in order to not vilify actual whales 🐋 which I can respect & think was actually a good change as whales are the furthest things from monsters.
@@joshuasgameplays9850 they also vilified a cat, yet you’re not complaining about that 🤨 there are anthropomorphic animals in Pinocchio’s world & Monstro is not in that category & acts more wild but not like how a whale 🐋 would in the wild. When you anthropomorphise an animal, you can’t rely on that as a true reflection of the species.
You should do a review on The Sorcerers Apprentice! It is considered by some to be one of the first Disney live action remakes. It takes the sorcerer Mickey section of fantasia and turns into a full length film!
I wish the new Mufasa Film will use that deepfake version to bring back expressions. Seeing the trailer was disappointing, maybe they are going to do the expressionless animals again, though the story might be better, can't expect plenty on this future film.
Don't don't like it on account of being a bit over the top and turning her into a good character, but I really really really enjoy maleficent. It's the best of them so far.
my personal ratings: Alice in Wonderland - 6/10 Maleficent - 8/10 Cinderella - 7/10 Alice part2 - 7.5/10 The Jungle Book - 9.5/10 Beauty and the Beast - 8.5/10 Christopher Robin - 6/10 Dumbo - 5/10 Aladdin - 9/10 The Lion King - 8.5/10 Maleficent part2 - 7.5/10 Lady and the Tramp - 7/10 Mulan - 3/10 Cruella - 8/10 Pinocchio - 4/10 based on the trailer: Peter Pan and Wendy - 5/10 The Little Mermaid - 9/10 I did not include the old movies like the dalmatian movies
I’m honestly surprised that you ranked Maleficent higher than The Jungle Book (2016). I didn’t really like it due to the fact that the writing took away everything that made Maleficent evil and scary. If you’re reading this, I know this is just your personal opinion. It’s just that I never expected this movie to be ranked this high.
I would put Beauty and the Beast at the bottom because, for me, it took one of the greatest animations (to me, the best Disney movie) and transformed it in a mediocre movie. It has no passion at all. It's just standing there, nobody cares even to talk about it.
I would put Beauty and the Beast under Aladdin, because of the horrendous autotune and the butchering of so many of the best scenes of the original was worse in my opinion, making some characters especially Belle and the Beast less likable than they were before.
I would love to see a story were malphacent is a good guy and the royal family and the princess is the villen and she curses aurora because she doesn't want to kill her and maybe the needle thing is a warning agenst greed or something that she could resist but dosn't and gets cursed cuase to make bad choices.
My Ranking: Maleficent 0/10 Mulan (2020) 1/10 Pinocchio (2022) 2/10 Pete Pan and Wendy 2/10 The Lion King (2019) 2/10 Lady and the Trump (2019) 2/10 Beauty and the Beast (2017) 2/10 Aladdin (2019) 2/10 Alice in Wonderland (2010) 3/10 Dumbo (2019) 4/10 101 Dalamtians (1996) 4/10 Cinderella (2015) 7/10 The Jungle Book (2016) 8/10
Oh my God I totally forgot Lady & The Tramp had a remake, I used to watch the good movie tons as a kid too. And fun fact the end shot of 101 Dalmatians, I counted 100 actual puppies. Which is amazing
For me, I would put Mulan higher than Pinocchio and Aladdin over BATB I feel like Lady and the Tramp could have been released in the cinemas too. Cinderella really is the best remake! I wish that Mulan could have done the same thing. It's fine if they removed the songs but somehow merged the original and Disney versions of the story and had better approach to make the story better. 18:39
Here we go. 15. Mulan(This is my least favorite movie of all time. I loathe it fully) 14. Maleficent 13. Dumbo 12. Pinocchio 11. The Sorcerer's Apprentice 10. Alice in Wonderland 9. Lady and the Tramp 8. Aladdin 7. 101 Dalmatians 6. Beauty and the Beast 5. Cinderella 4. Pete's Dragon 3. Christopher Robin 2. Cruella 1. The Jungle Book
Bruh Disney's marketing is literally dead. I'd never heard of the Mufasa sequel OR lady and the tramp remake before this video, wtf? Usually I'm the first to know about everything
Very interesting rank, here's mine (of what I've seen). The ones that rank low for me either didn't bring anything new to the story or were changed in a way that pales in comparison to the animated films. The ones that rank higher I felt did better at offering an enjoyable experience blending classic traits with modern ones 1. Jungle Book 2. Aladdin 3. Maleficent 4. Dumbo 5. Cinderella 6. Beauty and the Beast 7. Alice in Wonderland 8. 101 Dalmatians 9. Pinocchio 10. Peter Pan and Wendy 11. Lion King
7:40 While I'm sure you may not care. But they were making monstro more like a monster from the original story unlike the whale from Disney since that's what it was mean to be. (as for why they did it. who knows)
8:25 this actor was the whole reason I didn’t like Dumbo as a remake - she was just so SOULESS in her acting & I have NO idea how she got the part other than looking sweet or cute 🤦♀️
My favorite is Beauty& the Beast because I love they added in character lore with Belle's mother, the Enchantress who cursed the Beast and Adam's family. But I will have loved if disney made live action movies based on the Twisted tales stories books that are What if stories but Darker. Like what if Belle's mother cursed the Beast? Or What if Ariel had never defeated Ursula?
That sounds good to me! Since most of these live-action remakes or adaptations want to aim for a darker and edgier tone than their animated counterparts, that would be a nice way to take full advantage of not being in the medium of animation.
I honestly thought adding a backstory to her mom wasn’t a good idea. It didn’t go anywhere in the story and didn’t add much to Belle’s character (who was drastically different thnx to Emma Watson🫤). The Enchantress scenes were just her walking around while acting mysterious, or being in the background other than saving Maurice. She also interrupted the sad moment between Belle and the Beast at the end by saving him when it should’v been a private moment like in the animated movie. But that’s just my thoughts.
To be honest I don't care about these movies... I mean, if I want to I will watch SOME of them like The Lion King, Pinocchio or Aladdin because I like these ones A LOT (and I don't care about people opinions). And although Cinderella is really high in this list I didn't liked that much.
In my opinion: S Tier: 101 Dalmatians (Cruella carries this movie so hard, i love it.) A Tier: Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent B Tier: Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast C Tier: Aladdin, Dumbo D Tier: Pinocchio F Tier: Mulan, The Lion King
I can really sense your dislike for the 2019 Lion King. However, when I went to see it, I knew what I was getting, so I didn’t feel cheated or duped like how others felt. Also, Disney never said it was a live action remake. They just said it was a remake. Everyone else called it “live action” because it looked love action, but I digress. If I were to make a ranking of the Disney Remakes, I’d list them like this, because I feel there are some on here that are far worse than the Lion King that were ranked higher. But, it’s your channel and you’re ranking what did or didn’t work for you.
1. The Jungle Book (2016) 2. Cinderella 3. Christopher Robin 4. Pete's Dragon 5. Cruella 6. 101 Dalmatians 7. Aladdin 8. Lady and the Tramp 9. The Sorcerer's Apprentice 10. Beauty and the Beast 11. Maleficent 12. The Jungle Book (1994) 13. Dumbo 14. Alice in Wonderland 15. The Lion King 16. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil 17. Alice Through the Looking Glass 18. 102 Dalmatians 19. Mulan 20. Pinocchio 1-4 range from amazing to great, 5-8 range from good to okay, 9-14 range from mediocre to bad, and 15-20 range from terrible to abysmal.
If you want to see a good live-action Mulan movie, you should watch the Chinese-made movie titled Lady General Hua Mulan, released in 1964. It's honestly the best thing I've seen in a very long time.
What fails in the live action movies is that they focus so much on the visuals that they completely ignore the story, acting performance, conflict, voice acting, emotions, actors singing capabilities, and expression.
I totally agree with the animal "Live Action movies"....where is the sense in that? Though I am sure Peter Pan & Wendy will be very low on this list, too. xD The only good thing about Pinocchio was Figaro and Luke Evan's song. My favourites are Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella, but I also don't like Emma Watson as Belle.
I agree with your ranking list but my only real gripe is that you put Beauty and the beast remake in a higher ranking than Aladdin remake, even though I haven't watched the Beauty and the beast remake, it look horrible to watch from how the beast looks and even casting Emma Stone as Belle, say what you want about the Aladdin remake but at least its casting and performance are good and they fixed problems from the animated movie especially when it comes to these negative stereotypes and badly representing the cultures they are based off not to mention the bland outfits in the og animated movie so that's really something I appreciate about the remake that they tried to fix their past mistakes. IMO Aladdin, Maleficent and Cinderella are the ONLY live-action remakes that worked, they provided new better things that weren't in the original animated movies
Something I want to tell you I despise the lion king remake. For many reasons: 1. The music is ruined. 2. The disrespect after I realized in more reviews. 3. How it ruined my love for the characters. 4. This garbage does have great animation. (A positive) 5. This movie made me cry (the only two positives.) Another note: I love the jungle book remake and the Aladdin remake. That’s my opinion but hey it’s just my opinion.

My parents watched the Mulan remake and tried to convince me it was somehow good. As an animation student currently in university, I was offended.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with giving more depth to jasmines character as that’s the literal point of the live action adaptations
I think the point of these movies is to make money since they rely on nostalgia to fill up seats in the theaters. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with adding depth but I'm not gonna lie, I don't know if it's just the way these movies execute the new development but most of the changes aren't memorable imo
I think what they did with Maleficent was really interesting though since it's from her point of view, I'll give that movie some credit! (I haven't seen Cruella personally, though I do know it's more about Cruella herself than the Dalmations, an origin story iirc??)
I think the problem is that depth didn't make sense with what they kept from the original film. Like they kept her giving those kids food but not expecting to pay, that worked in the original because she was naive to the outside world, here she's established to have left the palace a few times and even wants to be Sultana
i had enough of Souless remakes
*Seeing Him put my favorite remake Aladdin at 8*
Big ooooof because I feel like this one is the one that has really stuck with me when watching it over the original.
I still think the Original better but I like the remake more tbh!
Twisted sweeps both tbh
If I had to rank these here it goes
Great 😄
1. The Jungle Book
2. Cruella
3. Cinderella
Good 🙂
4. Beauty and the Beast
5. Christopher Robin
6. Pete's Dragon
Meh 😐
7. Aladdin
8. Maleficent
9. Mulan
10. Dumbo
Bad 😡
11. The Lion King
12. Alice in Wonderland
Belongs in the 🗑️
13. Maleficent 2
14. Alice in Wonderland 2
My ranking
Dumbo, I just love the original too much, so this was quite bad for me
Lion King, some of the singing was fine, I guess, the rest was bad.
Mulan: I liked the scenery, and some of the wire fu, but it does lack heart and I also liked the new Christina Aguilera song.
Alice in Wonderland 10 year old me liked it, but now is just nope
Beauty and the Beast I like the addition of the black death killing the mom as part of Belle's backstory, but I didn't feel the chemistry.
Maleficent is fine, but nothing too impressive the performance by Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning is nice though.
Aladdin while toning down Jafar as a villain, I quite enjoyed the other aspects of the movie.
The Jungle Book: it was fun
101 dalmatians: it seemed more like a live action cartoon than all others and it was fun.
So everyone still watches the new live actions all hoping it would be as good as cinderella.
ok, but you SHOULD watch the Cruella movie. It was an actually competent movie. Probably one of the better films to come out during the pandemic!!!
Love the videos, man. Keep it up!!!
Uh oh, here we go!
Totally on point with Cinderella, I just loved that film so much and I’m kinda sad that the same thing will probably not happen with my favorite one which is The Little Mermaid 😥. Excellent video.
You can make the argument that this all started with jack the giant slayer
I can’t believe you actually made this. Props to you sir 🫡
9:57 snakes aren't slimy. Nor they are evil. They are really nice animals actually.
Cruella was my favorite.
I also plan on ranking the remakes once I watch all the original movies.
Oh yeah I remember that game, it was pretty fun!
I think the Golden Compass has the same effect because that Wii game was super engaging and fun.
Nice ranking
7:35 They made Monstro an actual sea beast in order to not vilify actual whales 🐋 which I can respect & think was actually a good change as whales are the furthest things from monsters.
But vilifying foxes is still ok 👍
@@joshuasgameplays9850 they also vilified a cat, yet you’re not complaining about that 🤨 there are anthropomorphic animals in Pinocchio’s world & Monstro is not in that category & acts more wild but not like how a whale 🐋 would in the wild.
When you anthropomorphise an animal, you can’t rely on that as a true reflection of the species.
@@sparxstreak02 I forgot the cat existed tbh
You should do a review on The Sorcerers Apprentice! It is considered by some to be one of the first Disney live action remakes. It takes the sorcerer Mickey section of fantasia and turns into a full length film!
Maleficent, Jungle Book and Cinderella were at least something of new
I like to think of the red queen having a big head as a physical representation of the metaphor
The live action lion king has special place in my heart as u watched it with my friends in 4th grade
If we were to put this next to Disney’s animated catalog, they would all be in F tier and then Jungle Book in C and Cinderella in B
I’ll never forgive the lion king for making the “can you feel the love TONIGHT” scene during the day
Where Pete’s Dragon?😢
I wish the new Mufasa Film will use that deepfake version to bring back expressions. Seeing the trailer was disappointing, maybe they are going to do the expressionless animals again, though the story might be better, can't expect plenty on this future film.
Cinderella is still by far the best standalone live action remake. The jabs at the lion king though were truely warranted 😁
Don't don't like it on account of being a bit over the top and turning her into a good character, but I really really really enjoy maleficent. It's the best of them so far.
my personal ratings:
Alice in Wonderland - 6/10
Maleficent - 8/10
Cinderella - 7/10
Alice part2 - 7.5/10
The Jungle Book - 9.5/10
Beauty and the Beast - 8.5/10
Christopher Robin - 6/10
Dumbo - 5/10
Aladdin - 9/10
The Lion King - 8.5/10
Maleficent part2 - 7.5/10
Lady and the Tramp - 7/10
Mulan - 3/10
Cruella - 8/10
Pinocchio - 4/10
based on the trailer:
Peter Pan and Wendy - 5/10
The Little Mermaid - 9/10
I did not include the old movies like the dalmatian movies
I’m honestly surprised that you ranked Maleficent higher than The Jungle Book (2016). I didn’t really like it due to the fact that the writing took away everything that made Maleficent evil and scary. If you’re reading this, I know this is just your personal opinion. It’s just that I never expected this movie to be ranked this high.
I would put Beauty and the Beast at the bottom because, for me, it took one of the greatest animations (to me, the best Disney movie) and transformed it in a mediocre movie. It has no passion at all. It's just standing there, nobody cares even to talk about it.
I love live actions Disney’s Pocahontas, Tangled, Frozen and moana.❤
You need to watch Cruella! It’s my favorite of the live action remakes along with 101 Dalmations and Maleficent
Any interest in Laika Studios?
What about Oz the Great and Powerful and The Nutcracker & the Four Realms? Or thoughts on Mary Poppins Returns?
I would put Beauty and the Beast under Aladdin, because of the horrendous autotune and the butchering of so many of the best scenes of the original was worse in my opinion, making some characters especially Belle and the Beast less likable than they were before.
7:38, good question
because they might going to demonize off whales just like what Universal did when they're making Jaws
Can you do a other ranking video.
I'm being doing this too on my Letterboxd account...I'm also ranking their animated film counterparts~~
I would love to see a story were malphacent is a good guy and the royal family and the princess is the villen and she curses aurora because she doesn't want to kill her and maybe the needle thing is a warning agenst greed or something that she could resist but dosn't and gets cursed cuase to make bad choices.
Alice in Wonderland is the only one I have a heart for, because it’s at least unique. The other ones are simply that soulless …
My Ranking:
Maleficent 0/10
Mulan (2020) 1/10
Pinocchio (2022) 2/10
Pete Pan and Wendy 2/10
The Lion King (2019) 2/10
Lady and the Trump (2019) 2/10
Beauty and the Beast (2017) 2/10
Aladdin (2019) 2/10
Alice in Wonderland (2010) 3/10
Dumbo (2019) 4/10
101 Dalamtians (1996) 4/10
Cinderella (2015) 7/10
The Jungle Book (2016) 8/10
Oh my God I totally forgot Lady & The Tramp had a remake, I used to watch the good movie tons as a kid too. And fun fact the end shot of 101 Dalmatians, I counted 100 actual puppies. Which is amazing
For me, I would put Mulan higher than Pinocchio and Aladdin over BATB
I feel like Lady and the Tramp could have been released in the cinemas too.
Cinderella really is the best remake! I wish that Mulan could have done the same thing. It's fine if they removed the songs but somehow merged the original and Disney versions of the story and had better approach to make the story better. 18:39
Here we go.
15. Mulan(This is my least favorite movie of all time. I loathe it fully)
14. Maleficent
13. Dumbo
12. Pinocchio
11. The Sorcerer's Apprentice
10. Alice in Wonderland
9. Lady and the Tramp
8. Aladdin
7. 101 Dalmatians
6. Beauty and the Beast
5. Cinderella
4. Pete's Dragon
3. Christopher Robin
2. Cruella
1. The Jungle Book
I think they are all great. I don't see the problems.
Bruh Disney's marketing is literally dead. I'd never heard of the Mufasa sequel OR lady and the tramp remake before this video, wtf? Usually I'm the first to know about everything
The only good live action Disney remake to me is Cinderella.
Cinderella is the best, and Mulan is the worst for me (though Malrficent 2 is a close 2nd). Snow White has a LOT to live up to, twofold.
Very interesting rank, here's mine (of what I've seen). The ones that rank low for me either didn't bring anything new to the story or were changed in a way that pales in comparison to the animated films. The ones that rank higher I felt did better at offering an enjoyable experience blending classic traits with modern ones
1. Jungle Book
2. Aladdin
3. Maleficent
4. Dumbo
5. Cinderella
6. Beauty and the Beast
7. Alice in Wonderland
8. 101 Dalmatians
9. Pinocchio
10. Peter Pan and Wendy
11. Lion King
7:40 While I'm sure you may not care. But they were making monstro more like a monster from the original story unlike the whale from Disney since that's what it was mean to be. (as for why they did it. who knows)
The way they ruined Belle😭 I’ll never forgive Disney
The singing was TERRIBLE. I wanna cry
I agree, the Cinderella remake is the best one.
8:25 this actor was the whole reason I didn’t like Dumbo as a remake - she was just so SOULESS in her acting & I have NO idea how she got the part other than looking sweet or cute 🤦♀️
No Disney remake will ever even touch Hook
1 Cinderella
2 Beauty and the Beast
3 Alice
4 Cruella
5 Jungle Book
6 Maleficent
7 Aladdin
8 Pinocchio
9 Mulan
10 The Little Mermaid
I didn’t even know that their was a lady and the tramp live action remake.
Wow Had enough rage over 20 minutes, Aldone? 😁
@@tototats16 I absolutely agree with your thoughts
To be honest I don't care about these movies... I mean, if I want to I will watch SOME of them like The Lion King, Pinocchio or Aladdin because I like these ones A LOT (and I don't care about people opinions). And although Cinderella is really high in this list I didn't liked that much.
In my opinion:
S Tier: 101 Dalmatians (Cruella carries this movie so hard, i love it.)
A Tier: Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent
B Tier: Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast
C Tier: Aladdin, Dumbo
D Tier: Pinocchio
F Tier: Mulan, The Lion King
I can really sense your dislike for the 2019 Lion King. However, when I went to see it, I knew what I was getting, so I didn’t feel cheated or duped like how others felt. Also, Disney never said it was a live action remake. They just said it was a remake. Everyone else called it “live action” because it looked love action, but I digress.
If I were to make a ranking of the Disney Remakes, I’d list them like this, because I feel there are some on here that are far worse than the Lion King that were ranked higher. But, it’s your channel and you’re ranking what did or didn’t work for you.
1. The Jungle Book (2016)
2. Cinderella
3. Christopher Robin
4. Pete's Dragon
5. Cruella
6. 101 Dalmatians
7. Aladdin
8. Lady and the Tramp
9. The Sorcerer's Apprentice
10. Beauty and the Beast
11. Maleficent
12. The Jungle Book (1994)
13. Dumbo
14. Alice in Wonderland
15. The Lion King
16. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
17. Alice Through the Looking Glass
18. 102 Dalmatians
19. Mulan
20. Pinocchio
1-4 range from amazing to great, 5-8 range from good to okay, 9-14 range from mediocre to bad, and 15-20 range from terrible to abysmal.
If you want to see a good live-action Mulan movie, you should watch the Chinese-made movie titled Lady General Hua Mulan, released in 1964. It's honestly the best thing I've seen in a very long time.
I can’t wait for the Among us live action movie
id pay to watch that in theaters
What fails in the live action movies is that they focus so much on the visuals that they completely ignore the story, acting performance, conflict, voice acting, emotions, actors singing capabilities, and expression.
Christopher Robins is the best movie
It’s so emotional, happy, sad, gloomy, funny, love able ❤
The best for me!
Mushu is like half of mulan just imagine mulan without mushu that’s the live action “ of course with awful garbage writing “
Sony should jump onto the trend and make a Sausage Party or Emoji Movie remake
I totally agree with the animal "Live Action movies"....where is the sense in that?
Though I am sure Peter Pan & Wendy will be very low on this list, too. xD
The only good thing about Pinocchio was Figaro and Luke Evan's song.
Did Disney started all this reimagined live action wave by ripping off Universal's two Huntsman-films?
I personally loved Maleficent I hated all the others but I really liked that one
Cinderella is better
Something I want to tell you I despise the lion king remake. For many reasons:
1. The music is ruined.
2. The disrespect after I realized in more reviews.
3. How it ruined my love for the characters.
4. This garbage does have great animation. (A positive)
5. This movie made me cry (the only two positives.)
Another note: I love the jungle book remake and the Aladdin remake. That’s my opinion but hey it’s just my opinion.
I Agree that You Put Lion King , Mulan and Pinnochio in Three Low Tier
If it were a Disney movie, where would the Charlotte's Web 2006 remake go?
