    The point that contradicts herr is earlier the final glutaminergic neuron of indirect pathway .was inhibited so that the signals to antagonist muscle decreses,but after dopaminergic action ..this glutaminergic neuron is excited .so how this dopaminergic signal is caliberating both the pathways .. please explain this sir

    good lecture sir it is very useful and i have a small doubt. Actually GABA is inhibitory.in the direct pathway 12:42 why GABA is stimulated and next Gaba neuron why inhibited and next glutamate why stimulated ...and (13:05) how to form ipsp(GABA) to epsp(GLU)…pls explain it sir

    This is wrong isn't it? Dompamine ibh bits the indirect pathway through D2 receptor and " weakens" the relaxation. At 24.50 you make it sound like DA potentiates both the contraction and the relaxation.

    • @cology9
      @cology9  Před 4 lety

      D2 is inhibitory and it releases the inhibitory neurons from inhibition (excitation), and you rightly mentioned that indirect pathway causes relaxation and D2 potentiates this relaxation process. Which can be understood as dopamine potentiating both the pathways (direct and indirect).

    • @cology9
      @cology9  Před 4 lety

      Since dopamine potentiates both the pathways we get better contractions. I hope this has answered your question, else I am open for discussion on this.

    • @trinerasmussen7099
      @trinerasmussen7099 Před 4 lety

      I can see that we agree on the function. I just feel like wording it as dopamine potentiating the indirect pathway is counter intuitive, as it sound like you are potentiating the inhibitory effect. English is not my first language so maybe it is just me ☺️

      Dopamine at last increases motor activity that is contractility of both agonist and antagonist muscle increases because it activates the direct pathway which normal increase motor activity and inhibits indirect pathway which normal decrease Morton activity
