- Welcome back to the TriFate Philippines adventures! We are back in the Philippines with another vlog and this time we are starting in the southern island of Mindanao in the lesser-known city of Pagadian City. And in this travel vlog, we are here to begin our new journey and answer the question, is this the friendliest city in the Philippines! Also in this vlog, we give our first impressions of Mindanao and our first impressions of Pagadian City!
We started the vlog in Manila before flying to Pagadian, upon arriving to the city, we were exhausted and the hotel search took hours. So our first day was a rest day.
Then we started our next day with some food as we headed to Out of Nowhere to try some of the food before heading back to find a new hotel. After giving a hotel tour and trying some special local mangos, we decided to hit the streets to give our first impressions of the city. Our journey took us to the public market of the city where we were greeted by many many friendly locals. we couldn't go a few minutes without someone wanting to say hi to us! In our time in the market, we made 1 purchase and that was some cheese corn for 25 pesos which tasted amazing!
After trying the corn we headed down to the baywalk to end our day. We watched the view and beautiful sunset and were greeted by many more friendly locals including some kids playing some basketball. Then we headed off to find some dinner.
Before dinner, we tried a new preparation of banana, then headed to a restaurant named Radolfos and got a massive feast for dinner, where we got to finally try our first buko halo halo. Finishing our feast, we headed back to the hotel to finish out a long day. Our first full day in the region of Mindanao.

Pagadian is where Ken from SB19 grew up! I know you guys love SB19 and as an A'Tin I'm glad you chose to visit his place. Also the cafe where you ate, Out of Nowhere, is originally from Davao city. Davao is also in Mindanao. They have more branches of that cafe there as well, and I do agree, they really have great food.

Ken is not from Pagadian, he is from Lakewood one of the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur, which Pagadian City is also part.

Tyler and Isaac, if you want to explore outside Pagadian City or any rural area of Zamboanga provinces, be sure to coordinate with the local tourism office first as they will advise you which areas are safe for foreigners. Be vigilant always and keep safe. The locals there are turning their eyes on you both commenting that you are “guapo” (meaning good looking/handsome) as there are not much foreigners esp. your age who come to explore the area. Stupid... Im from Mindanao.. Luzon are more Chaotic than Zamboanga Peninsula.. we had the best good and weather
