There is no such thing as "perfectly safe" place. Philippines also have it's ups and downs, that also applies to safety. Of course, there are bad people out there but just learn to ignore them, just don't argue, move on and choose the right people to surround yourself with. Don't be shy or scared to ask for help because Filipino's are very helpful. Just make sure to be kind and friendly, and use thank you all the time. You'll get used to it anyway and you'll learn how to avoid the dangers as the time goes by. Philippines is a beautiful and happy country, i wish all of you a happy stay❤️
As a Filipino traveller myself its important how our brothers from another countries feel about being in our country. Its not only for the vlog his doing this but his a great help for our tourism. I lived in the Philippines for 4 months in 2019. Went for 2 weeks in 2017. I never felt like I was in any danger, the food was great, everything is affordable. I hear it's not safe to visit the southern islands, so I didn't go there. I didn't want to leave and plan to go back in 2024. I would give a 9/10. I want to move there permanently one day, I've started buying dividend paying stocks and ETFs to give me an income to live off of.
You can go to Davao.

Advice to those who want to visit the Philippine do respect and love our country and people, respect our laws, cultures and traditions. Overwhelming number of Filipinos are hospitable, helpful, respectful and loving just reciprocates these traits. Do not bring and impose to others your own culture, traditions, religion that does not conform to our own, bad habits such as law breakers is a no no, drug habits has no place in our country. But Of you must be also aware that there are some bad guys and just be weary on them.
This is the best advice so far.
