A bit of advice with the Patreon: Remember to stay humble. I’m usually wary of Patreons because I’ve seen too many respected channels go from loving their fans to exclusively loving their _paying_ fans-like viewer interaction is only worth doing for those few viewers who routinely send money. Keep making awesome videos and remember that everyone who enjoys your content is a good fan.

4:19 Funny enough I found you through the Mega Man X marathon you did back in 2018-2019. It was where I saw your Mega Man X4 video first and I've been a part of this community since. It's always nice to interact with you on Twitter, seeing you do the videos you managed to do, and in a way, helped me and other "New Gen" of Content Creators find a way to be ourselves. So here's hoping for 2023 Jonny because god damn I can't say you didn't make my 2022 the best experience it was. Love you to 120 dude.

The story of how I discovered is actually very interesting. I can't remember the exact video it was, but I believe it was your first Indie Marathon with Terraria and Octodad and such. I have watched nearly every video of yours ever since. Then when you did a Spotlight and playthrough of Spark the Electric Jester, I ended up buying the game and loving it so much I decided to make Mashups of the games music with other songs and posted them on Soundcloud. This then led me to ask other mashup artists in the community for advice and tips. Eventually I ended up becoming good friends with those people (In a time where I didn't have any friends and was going through very serious depression), and they introduced me to even more friends who I still have to this day, one of them being the love of my life who I've been together with for nearly 3 years now.
So in an indirect way, you and Spark are responsible for me having so many friends, having a loving partner, and potentially saving my life. I know it's strange, but I feel a lot of gratitude. In a "It's a Wonderful Life" kinda way, you have touched so many peoples lives. Anyway, enough with me being sentimental, I look forward to this next year of content, and hopefully this Patreon will be great to help you have a through-line. Happy New Year!

For my money, I think 2022 was a great year for this channel. I really enjoyed all the videos you made this year, especially the DK marathon. I learned a lot more about Donkey Kong this year than I really expected lol. Made me finally want to give the series a proper go.
Seeing this type of vid come out at the end of the year in a comfy and chill tone is always so... reassuring for lack of a better word.
It's a tradition at this point for looking at the new year ahead in a positive light.

I'd discovered you thanks to your Metroid series. I loved how much you gave your opinion in the games & your love for the series. Found your channel through the Smash video and got hooked when I watched the rest, your videos basically reignited my interest in Sonic and other franchies I would've never even thought about playing.

Only recently got into your stuff because of the Sonic marathon of yore, you have a tone and style the likes of which I haven't seen on many, if any, other channels. Like you are just incomprehensibly chill but still come off as super passionate when the video calls for it. I'm on the cusp of trying this CZcams game myself, and seeing someone with your more relaxed style and less edit-focused commentary and comedy, who has maintained that style while still refining it for over ten years at this point, basically I'm saying you inspire a lot of confidence in the fledgling artist/creator. Believe it or not I actually found you through your Super Mario Bros. review from back in the day! I was looking for reviews of the original SMB game, and yours was one of the ones that popped up and I was hooked. Honestly, 2022 has sucked for me as both of my grandmothers were diagnosed with cancer this year, and so everytime I'd put on one of your videos, I'd be laughing my ass off whether it was an old video or a newer one. Especially your Donkey Kong videos. So here's to keeping your coffee hot and to 2023. Hopefully it's a better year all around.

Always liked how down to earth you are, feels like thats a big reason why as fans we all are 100% ok with supporting you on this channel, with stuff like twitch or a patreon or being 100% ok with those marathons not being met this year. That AND for me personally another very oddly specific reason I liked you outside of just your content is just you really remind me of my uncle who got me into video games when i was younger lmao, not only are you guys both into games but, also you guys just look similar and have a similar vibe so in a very weird sense watching your videos reminds me of when i was younger and playing games with my uncle and just talking to him about games and nerdy stuff overall
