This is a very cheaply made attachment, the gearbox is made of plastic as is the housing which tends to crack where it mounts to the pole with one small bolt. You can't expect much life out of highly stressed plastic parts. The replacement parts are available but cost almost as much as a new attachment. I enjoyed using this saw to limb trees after felling, it saves your back because you can cut without bending over also it was attached to my 4 cycle troy-bilt weedeater so I never had to mix gas. I just wish it had lasted longer.
When you cut undrerneath a branch it will pinch your bar. Other than that your saw cut good for as you noted under a 100 bucks. Thanks for your time and knowledge.
Just bought one at Lowe's but can't use it till tomorrow because it's dark, YouTubing and glad there's good videos good reviews. Thanks for your video, nice boots too. Helmet might be overkill though.
To make it a better trimmer put the handle that came with the brush cutter it will extend your reach so you don't have to bend over as much while trimming.
I'm not familiar with that particular model, but if it has the "quick attach" system, then most likely you can put any of these attachments on your unit. 🚨I would refer to the user manual to make sure though.🚨
@@MillsEngineWorks it’s identical to the LD except it has a curve shaft. I have no manual I got it on clearance at Lowe’s. The Lowe’s website says it has the quick attachment system but I’ve seen a lot of contradicting information. Thanks.
@@6atlantis If in the middle of the shaft there is a knob that can be loosened and the curved trimmer can be removed, then you have the quick attach system. If that is the case, most attachments should work. I believe you should be able to find the manual on Husqvarna's website. You may need the serial number, which should be on the engine side of your unit.

Great attachment but you need the blade ripping when you hit the wood. Op error not machine.

Since this video's posting, I have done just that.
I picked up the 128CD curve shaft trimmer on sale. Can I swap out the curved shaft and put on a straight shaft attachment?

Yes, it's s demonstration video but JC man just fell the whole branch in one cut and we'd get the point. 10min video should be 2, 3 tops.
