He already set an example for John Kerry, Joe Biden and Tim Kaine. "I am Catholic but.."No offence. I agree with him. Since USA is founded based on Constitution and not the Bible or the Church.

Calvin Ohsey Ah Sen That's pretty unfair to JFK. He exercised his faith by respecting the Constitution as law of the land. No other Catholic politician was ever as openly supportive of basic Catholic values...probably why all those others have survived the office.

Al Smith in 1928, faced Hoover who had the Roaring Twenties and Republican dominance in his advantage. He lost big due to that. But his loss was exacerbated in the South (historically a stronghold for Dems).

Kennedy was born Catholic that is why they had to make such an example of him. He crossed the Vatican at least 13 ways. But he was unusual. Today all levels of government, especial federal, are just about 100% Catholic filled. Al Smith. Trump's Charity dinners his father always took him to? Actually Kennedy was probably used. Soften people up to the idea Catholics can be in favor of separation of church and state, etc. Lots of angles here. But they were alreaedy pretty much in control since Wilson especially. Wilson and the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA. It was modeled on the Jesuit Order. You would think no further comment would be necessary. Unfortunately, the ignorance is astounding. Al Smith would have been bad as Hillary. They let Kennedy go but tested him out with the Bay of Pigs. They were not happy with him.

The proper response would have also included that the Pope would not countenance or conceive of interfering with America's polity. Popes have acted, as have Protestant and Jewish clergy, in reminding the public conscience of civic duties.

The corruption was already in place. They knew he wasn't going to play ball. So they won by forfeit and kept right on playing. Scamerica would have had a fighting chance had he been allowed to do his job.
