When turning off traction you forgot to say “you have to hold it down for 10 seecooonds” for added effect
I don’t think it makes no extra difference holding it down for 10 seconds than it would just holding it down for 2/3 seconds to turn it off

Needs a proper wheel alignment and corner balance mate. Shouldn’t be understeering like that into the last turn and the chicane. You probably want about 2mm total TOE OUT at the front and 0.6mm TOE IN at the rear, and camber will depend on your tyre but since your in cup2’s -1.5 camber for front and -2.1 camber on rear. Can go more aggressive from there if you run proper semis slicks later on 👍🏻
All that money on a Golf R with carbon buckets just to get dusted by a rusty E46

@@richardsealey3626 They probably are. 4 door cars are usually stiffer than 2. Pretty common in racing series to choose the 4 door over the 2 door for this reason in cars like the 3 series.

I skipped through the video after the first 5 mins or so but looks like the thumbnail didn't go down too well. Castle Combe seems like a great fun track, I won a competition back in the PS2 NFS Underground 2 days and was for a track day there probably with official Playstation / EA stuff going on and apparently was cool. The barriers are an iconic part of that track but I bet it's even better at night if they do track sessions then. As far as holding back on the comments, doesn't look like a few people are doing that but you haven't been responding to comments for a few days it seems lol :D

Coil packs ALL packed up at the same time, !! That's not good, So yes you were doing some spirited driving BUT for that to happen sounds very strange, is it a VW problem

Nice, but why the Golf R as a track car. I think FWD is a hell of a lot more fun, I would've went the GTI route
it's also faster for track, but golf R is better if weather conditions are bad.
@@vitaltrina Mehh, like a GTI is that dangerous in bad weather.
You should bring a couple spare coil packs with you, so then you can swap them out quick and keep going
That being said, don't seem like the typa guy to do that, as simple as swapping them would be

Is there any way to tell if the coil packs are on there way out?
usually misfires are a symptom. Hesitation on acceleration, stuff like that.
I thought I had one on the way out as I had a split second missfire and a check engine light flash up but never happened again but I carry a spare anyway. My previous experience with coils on my VAG cars are they just go at any time they choose without warning. I suppose looking for missfire counts on your cylinders using VAGCOM might indicate a weak coil.

Mk3 Meganes for the win 🙌 best decision I've made getting one after trouble with pretty much every other track car I've owned 😂 plus... they're seriously capable, usually see them pressuring cars out of there league and it's hilarious to see people's faces who don't know what they can do thinking... what is that!!! 😂

I’ll openly admit that I’m not a massive fan of the majority VAG group cars but this R is just something else 😍.. You’ve turned this car into something that has character and theatre. Pretty much every VAG car does everything for you and are quite frankly incredibly boring to drive. I take my hat off to you luke. This is one R I’d definitely own and love to experience 🙏🏻🙌🏻
