Akuma at the beginning was carving the statues from the Alpha 1 animated movie, peak reference.
That scene in the movie where Ryu was surrounded by those statues was unsettling. I was hyped for the fight between Akuma and Ryu but was sorely disappointed when he had to fight that Akuma knockoff.
It’s said that a murderer becomes compelled to carve statues as penance.

So in Akuma's arcade road, all fighters except bonus stages take place in Enma's Hollow, Akuma's stage.
You know it makes more sense since some characters should be like that. For example Jamie story should be metro city downtown since he is the peacekeeper of the city, blanka should be in ranger hut because he is the protector of the jungle and JP a should be in sur vi Hal arena because he is the sponsor of street fighter 6 and all characters should like I am in the final stage time to fight the sponsor

Well since the the early three days before the game launch nakayama said that characters will have some kind of toggle where the more damage you get the more bruises the character like in sf2 victory result the defeated opponent will get all cover in blood and bruises. That’s is perfect to make the game feel more alive
