I like this pattern of characters being set up as rivals for the party but constantly thrown off by the fact these aren't practical anime protagonists.
Like Laios is the only one who consistently realizes that they have no reason to be at odds with one another.
I love how disappointed Chilchuck is when Marcille wearing the frog suit again.
Chilchuck definitely got the short-end of the stick when it came to the giant frog-skin suits....(even though he first discovered that the frog-skin protected against the stinging tentacles) 🐸
She kept the frog suit on for so long before taking it off lol

@@luke14946 actually it does, even if it's not mentioned by name. It is, however, called the Eastern Lands. We even see some flashback scenes of Shuro's home and it very clearly shows Japanese houses

ダンジョン飯ってすごく登場人物多い上にいちいちキャラが立ってる作品だけど、今回のアニメ化で北米声優はもうどんなタイプの声でも揃えられる、層の厚さを備えたって判るなあ 流石だ
日本の声優がそのまま英語喋ってるの！？ってくらい似た声質の人もいて本当すごい。
同一人物でも日本語喋ってる時と英語喋ってる時じゃ声色変わるのが普通なのに…
キャスティング担当が相当耳の良い人で、さらに海外版声優も陰で相当寄せる努力をされてるんだと思う。
昔の吹き替えはひどかったけど
今の英語吹き替えはほとんど違和感がないくらい層が厚いですね
日本ぽい演技する人も多い
英語版のシュローもいい感じにくたびれた雰囲気の声でかっこいいね

you know I was just about to google the different age of consent laws in the US states, not to mention the rest of the world to explain why that's not an issue when I realized I don't need my FBI agent getting any funny ideas what what I'm doing when all I'm trying to do is horrify someone on CZcams about how ununified things really are. So instead I'll say there's a single spot in the US where you can stand in four different states each with a different age.

In oni years she's of age, it's in the Adventurer's Bible. Different races having different rates of maturation and how it affects how they interact with each other is, like, one of the three big themes in Dungeon Meshi. (The other two are "eating healthily" and "autism rocks")

@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Well sometimes in life you have to throw away pride and honor; When Laios lost Falin, Laios chose to go and rescue her without a second thought, even if it was hopeless.
I hope Shuro for once throw aside his bushido and not tell them about what happened with Falin, he seem like the type that is debating on whether to do the "honorable" thing and tell or keep the secret but doesn't trust the one who made the hard call 😑
It's not that he left Falin and Laios' party for nothing, he just thought that Laios' party aren't strong enough to rescue Falin and decided to bring his "family" to save her. Also keep in mind Ancient/black magic was illegal in this world so Shuro regards this as criminal act. Not to mention he can't stand Laios' attitude so his anger was understandable

Shuro literally said the party would become fugitives under the eyes of the Western Elves and the island's governor himself is subservient to the elves implying they're the top civilization of Dungeon Meshi's world. How did you miss that?
Imagine your crush is now a criminal and her brother tells you about it making you an accomplice so now the entire party are criminals with the elves closing in the island.

Interestingly, Delicious in Dungeon is the English subtitle that was already printed on the cover of the manga when it was released in Japan in 2015. Well, no one in Japan calls it by that name. By the way, this is a reference to D&D (RPG).
@@TheStormglass They're both official titles; Delicious in Dungeon comes from Ryoko Kui herself. It's similar to "Attack on Titan" vs "Shingeki no Kyojin".
