      I have these 3 codes going on. Was told it could be bad harness or injector. Is there a simple way to trouble shoot the harness before deciding to replace the injector? Thanks!
      Fuel injection quantity lower than expected

      You could check the wiring first with the proper tools, but if you feel like your engine is idling uneven, probably is a bad injector. Thanks for the support and watching the channel.

    I have a question, I just did a engine harness on a Volvo. If I did mix up the connectors in the back of the motor would it throw a code? I ask because I have no codes but now the engine wont start. It started before the harness was replaced

    • @LetstalkDIESEL

      There is a chance that the EGR valve connector has been switched with the Flywheel Speed sensor (since both connector are the same) just switch them and it should start. I hope this help you and thanks for watching.

    How much did it cost for wire harness

    • @LetstalkDIESEL
      @LetstalkDIESEL  Před 3 lety +2

      Volvo D13 engine harness, price varies from $450 up to $1,500 (no labor include it and does not apply for D16 engine harness). That depends from when you can get it, from Volvo factory I might be more expensive than aftermarket. Thanks for watching and support the channel.

    Thanks for the information is very interesting, talking about the injectors harness where the o-ring is leaking oil, can the o-ring be changed alone or should i change the complete wire harness on the truck because now my truck is leaking oil in front of the engine, thanks once again am from Nigeria in Africa

    • @LetstalkDIESEL
      @LetstalkDIESEL  Před 3 lety +1

      You could replace only the o-ring in the harness, but that will not stop the oil to travel to other parts of the harness since all wires are connected, oil travel around all of it. So, the best is to replace the entire engine harness with a new one. It might be quite expensive now, but in a long run, that oil leak will go away. NOTE: make sure that it the only oil leak you see around, if you are not sure 100%, let a technician to inspect properly the oil leak for you. Thanks for watching and share my channel with other around there. Glad to be helpful around that part of the world.

      @@LetstalkDIESEL thanks man i appreciate, i will have to get it done before it starts leaking too much, another problem people experience here in Nigeria is that Mack company has only one trusted sales and service representative that can only be located in Lagos State Nigeria and in order for you to get your Mack Pinnacle truck fixed, you have to drive up to 600km before one can get to their workshop or they will charge for coming to where ever you are in the country and that's not encouraging, people are running away from the Mack/Volvo because of high cost of mantainernce, people prefer E7 or even E6 old engines to mp8 /d13 engines

    Hi, morning, as you mentioned that the part of engine harness for inside rocker cover can buy it separately, does it applie to Volvo low bed bus B9L, cause my case all insulation layer already crack and might short to each other. Want to repair it is not easy all pin bush connector are easy breakage. Appreciate it you can let me know where to buy this part of wire harness? Each DTC has its own path to follow in order to get it fix. If you have changed the battery recently make sure all terminals are connected properly. Also, if you truck has a bypass for the ATS you might need to fix that first. Thanks for watching and I hope this help.

    • @LetstalkDIESEL
      @LetstalkDIESEL  Před 4 lety +1

      There is not an exactly time about when you should change the engine harness, but usually, when your technician tells you there is few codes relate to the harness (open circuit, short to ground, etc), that will be a good time to replace it. Or if your harness has a clear damage spot you should replace it as well. Thanks for watching.

      Si necesita un cableado eléctrico de motor para esta clase de camiones Volvo D13, vaya con el número VIN de su vehículo a la venta de repuestos genuinos de Volvo, para encontrar el harness correcto. Si busca un reemplazo que no sea genuino o usado, consiga el número original de su cableado, trate de averiguar por el número si es el correcto en la parte que piensa instalar y observa que cada conexión sea la correcta (personalmente yo no recomiendo parte usadas o que no sean genuinas). Gracias por el mirar el video.
