The toybiz apocalypse wave Wolverine is one of my favorite renditions of the character to date. Not everyone’s cup of tea but to me it’s perfect, and there’s an unmasked variant

He looks WAYYY better than the 97 series figure that came out that's for sure
I actually prefer the amazing Yamaguchi/revoltech Wolverine (don't know exactly when revoltech became just amazing Yamaguchi) its more muscular and his claws while exaggerated are curved. And how they made the claws interchangeable between hands is genius, and the screaming head is a must for Wolverine figures, and the astonishing costume is the cherry on the top. But the lack of unmasked head and arm hair is a bummer. Would love to see them do a 1.5 or a 2.0 wolverine
I agree, came here to say this, it's definitely my personal choice for the ultimate figure right now, wouldve liked more accessories like an unmasked head, the removed cigar, and his mask on its own

@@paatttonallsocials eh, the only thing I dislike about the face is that his gritting teeth head had as an squinting eyes. The face itself doesn't bother me at all, by the contrary, I think it's more imposing than the mafex which even in the gritting face head he still looks too calm.
I’m torn because I got the brown suit first, and I’m a huge fan of that whole Claremont/Miller run. But the paint alone on this one ☝️
personally prefer the xforce mafex version because of the claws and the costume, but thats just my preference.

Dude! As an editor myself, your editing skills are amazing! This video is almost 7 minutes long and felt like 3. I enjoyed it so much🤩 this is a very cool figure, could’ve use a couple more hands and effects though.
They need a repaint with accurate black stripes and less Shiney blue, imo.

I would definitely recommend the sentinel Peter b Parker since it’s way more articulated than mafex and sh figuarts. Also check out the amazing yamaguchi ones they are like super posable
imo ML 97 is the best tiger stripe wolverine the poseability is crazy and the facesculpts are really better and has more accurate proportions
if it had the new torso articulation like the astonishing would be the definitive. Still has better crouch than Mafex and boot and thigh swivels are sweet
mafex brown is the best brown wolverine though for now
Mezco wolverine does not even look like wolverine. looks like a random fat cosplayer without any muscle definnition and huge head. The articulation is a joke. can't do any classic wolverine pose. The accesories are amazing though
Marvel Legends 12" Wolverine is the best of all.
I think the reason the stripes are darker now is because people kept complaining that they were too bright and weren’t black so they darken them. Also I’m pretty sure they just reused the original promo pics. On the older version the blue stripes are definitely brighter and matches with his shoulder pads

The best wolverine imo is marvel legends X-Men 97 figure his build is what wolverine should be where as the mafex version looks like he has an eating disorder and the claws are far too long they would never retract into his forearms plus the marvel legends one is a fraction of the price (secondary market is double but still cheaper than mafex)
MvC2 wolverine figure was the best.
IMO as someone who owns both the mezco and mafex, I really am not a fan of the mafex and think the mezco is way more better

I have Mafex Wolverine I think I like it compare to the Ugly Hashbros one Mafex did a good job on this Xmen figures I have Storm ⛈️, Magneto 🧲, Gambit 🃏, Jean Grey 🐦🔥, and Cyclops 👓 i think it’s Gorgeous figures the only complain I have is that they didn’t add Jean grey in pony tail 😡 other than that I love it all
I THOUGHT this was the figure, but the shoulder broke off!!! It was probably the weakest figure I ever had. I was shocked. I got some glue and put him in a pose I liked and well.. he is more a statue now than figure, but yeah.. sort of dissappointing.
My favorite is still the kotobukikya astonishing x-men wolverine. That figure is just so good. That is a level above Mafex though. And while perhaps "lower" in level I think Legends is really catching up. In fact the recent Astonishing Legends is better than any of the Mafex stuff.

The mezco one with the sentinel base is better than this imo. The xmen 97 one is also close. Mafex does have the best brown suit one though.

I’d say check out the Marvel Legends line. They have one releasing from the new Deadpool movie. If you want a comic one, they have a new version out with improved articulation.
Hey you should try the Mezco wolverine I have it and I personally love the look but articulation is a bit limited but posing is good

Its spectacular but in my opinion you need the sh figuarts venomiced Tech on wolverine from sh figuarts line that piece understand the character features allmost perfect if found in good price i recomend you buy with my two hands over fire and my naked and fragile heart you will not regret at all. While I prefer the Tiger-stripe uniform, MAFEX’s brown costume Wolverine is superior to this one, IMO.

i wish i can afford mayfex but therel ike 100 or 200 being scalped just because there the main character you need too do a video on this because it sucks over priced characters are all ways the main cast welp i just get a bootleg revoltech yamaguchi . even revoltech is like 200 plus
I don’t get how you can critique the claws for being too long for the forearms then in the next sentence complain that that aren’t curved. Forearms aren’t curved. You can’t have it realistic one way and unrealistic another..
@@sneaksgeeks9008 I wasn’t saying it needs to be completely realistic, it is a fictional character at the end of the day. Don’t see what’s wrong with wanting them a bit shorter and more stylized though. One of my reasons for this was because in the posing video, the claws didn’t always match look of the reference image.

Colors are off, claws are way too long... He's perfect! Yeah no, brown n' tan is a better representation IMO.
The brown and yellow suit is cool so I’m not knocking your opinion at all. I do hope Medicom reissues that version, but there’s still no sign of it.

M “aaayyyy” fex…. if you say the first letter of the alphabet, you will understand how the name is actually pronounced…. Because the first letter of the alphabet sure as hell is not pronounced “ahhhhh” 💯👍🙄
At this point, I’m really just over it. If I say may-fex it’s a problem. If I say mah-fex it’s a problem. I’m not the only person who’s dealt with this either. If you check any of the other videos, you’ll see I pronounced it the way you’re saying it, and I’ve had a few people point out that it’s the other way. So at this point, I just don’t know anymore. 🤷♂️
