I just got these to replace my old Sauchony running shoes. These are the best running shoes I’ve tried. I’ve used other Ultras for hiking like the Lone Peak 2.5s and Superior 3.5s, and most recently Olympus 5s. I’m only going to buy Ultra shoes after this. The zero drop is essential for me due to bad knees from years of competitive cycling. The wide toe box is so much more comfortable than any other brand. I have medium width feet with low arch and I feel these are the perfect brand for me. I’ve noticed Ultra has redesigned their shoes to fit a wider range of feet. The earlier models all had wide volumous toe boxes. They were a sure fit for my feet. Now I have to try on their shoes before buying since a size 9.5 in early Lone peaks fit perfect but are too small in the Lone Peak mid all weather. I need a 10 to get a wide enough shoe. The insoles are 1/4” narrower. This brand has come a long way and now anyone besides people with wider feet and lower arches can find a shoe from them that fits well. As for the stability I have never worn a stability shoe before but if I didn’t know it was a stability shoe I’d have no idea. All I know is they fit and feel great. I only use these in the gym for treadmill running and general exercise. I think Ultra can fill every shoe niche you need. In own 6 pairs now.

I don't run I just want to comfortable super walking shoe for anywhere! Altra keeps getting better now with their new soft bottoms and wider toe room. (But they need to stop the standard or thin size only)
