Wrong Disney reference, but Rachel's whole online presence gives me such a sense of "it's a small world after all". So many public figures use social media now, and it gives the rest of us much more intimate access to their lives, yet Rachel's has still felt even more personal and unadulterated than most of these I've seen imo; like I really just get to watch some completely normal 20 year old, with the same doubts and anxieties, but also the same interests and sense of humour, that the average woman her age/background does, but that just happens to be in some of the biggest movies being made in the world right now (and is reacting to how surreal this feels to her just as any of us would). Honestly, I think this whole channel is something pretty special because of this.

Saw WSS 2021 last night. It's a gritty masterpiece. Made all the more tragic by Speilberg's realistic direction. Rachel, you and your-beyond-excellent cast mates brought literal tears to my eyes (with a major "assist" from Bernstein & Sondheim, of course). I'm so excited for this film! I'm twenty-eight and saw the original film in middle school. I love the chemistry between specifically Bernardo, Maria, Chino, and Anita, and Tony sometimes, but I also really wanted a remake so that we could watch people who are their races play the characters. I wish it came sooner and this remake could still exist too, but I'm glad it was finally made. Personally, I'm going to miss Doc, but I love Rita Moreno. I always thought Doc was Jewish and that seeing the gangs go at it was hard on him not just because he was a random white man who cared but because of his personal experiences with the holocaust. I pictured him as having been there or having lost family that was still in Europe.

watched west side story for the first time last Friday and I was blown away by it, your singing and acting was incredible!! I went to see it with my mum and then on Tuesday I went with my best friend, seeing it with the people you love is the best thing ever! Eye always say that tears are our way of expressing emotions that we feel so strongly they can't be put into words... Eye think that because we usually cry subconsciously. (Unless it's for an acting role or something, you'd be doing it intentionally and consciously.) We literally cry for being so mad, so happy, surprised, remorseful, sad of course and sometimes for reasons unknown.. 🤷🏽♂️

When I was a kid, I saw WSS EIGHT times at the theater. My first 5 albums were the Beach Boys. I KNOW a good singer when I hear one, and Rachel you are absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Saw WSS 2021 last night. It's a gritty masterpiece. Made all the more tragic by Speilberg's realistic direction. Rachel, you and your-beyond-excellent cast mates brought literal tears to my eyes (with a major "assist" from Bernstein & Sondheim, of course). I knew you had a beautiful voice from "Rachel Nation," watching your videos during the pandemic. But I had no idea what an astonishing ACTRESS you were! Your performance was the heart of the movie. You are now immortal. I'm sure your friends and family are incredibly proud. You should be too! I look forward to whatever you do next . . . ⚡️

So, a whole year and some odd months later, I catch this video and I swear - it should've been titled "The Beginnings of a Star's Life" - because now that's what you are! I'm STILL watching WSS on cable and I'm also going to FINALLY buy the DVD (this all may - or may not - have something to do with the crush I have on Mike Faist, but whatever - I digress!) I had no idea you were this active on CZcams and it's been a blast watching your videos! I know your life's pretty much changed since West Side Story and I wish only special blessings for your acting career! Hope you get to remember the "little people" on the YT and continue to post videos moving forward! This was truly special to watch!
I'm so excited for this film! I'm twenty-eight and saw the original film in middle school. I love the chemistry between specifically Bernardo, Maria, Chino, and Anita, and Tony sometimes, but I also really wanted a remake so that we could watch people who are their races play the characters. I wish it came sooner and this remake could still exist too, but I'm glad it was finally made. Personally, I'm going to miss Doc, but I love Rita Moreno. I always thought Doc was Jewish and that seeing the gangs go at it was hard on him not just because he was a random white man who cared but because of his personal experiences with the holocaust. I pictured him as having been there or having lost family that was still in Europe.

okay so I’ve living under a rock and didn’t know anything of her landing the role. The last video I watched on this channel was her cover of champagne problems. And now I just saw her in west side story and was like oh my god, this is Rachael. I started crying cause I feel so proud of her and that this amazing thing happened to her 💕😭😭
