Air Canada 787-9 STUNNING Engine View Takeoff from Toronto-Pearson [4K]

  • Departing out of Toronto on this Air Canada 787-9 to Calgary back last summer, I had one of the best engine views possible in 6K in Business, so I wanted to upload the entire takeoff sequence separately. We also lucked out with a bit of a gate delay, meaning no safety video playing over the engine start-up, which I've included too.
    If you like the sound of GEnxs, this is the video for you!

    Excellent At first i didnot catch on but then realized that engine is completey mounted in front of the wing
    Its like the engine is just there by itself 😎! The wing structural curve Unreal Engineering probably only achieveable by use of Composites

    After 3 years stuck in Canada due to covid I will finally fly back to Brazil to visit my family on the 787-9 from Air Canada. I love this aircraft the only problem is the huge amount of delays I don't know why but 787 from air Canada seems to have a curse, if you look the flights to sao paulo 1 every 3 flights get delayed, sometimes every flight on the week delays.

    Great vid Alex! Do you remember wich seat were you on? I’ll be flying on the Dreamliner next month and I wanna have this same engine view. I’ve already booked the 3A seat, but I think it would be better a little bit to the back… Am I wrong? Thanks, and greetings from Brazil! 😉

      That is just how the 787 starts. They are electric start. Plus both engines are started simultaneously.

    Great video! But the 787 is so uncomfortable in Economy. Built for 8-across, it has 9-across, which is very trying on a 10+ flight.

    • @1104kdd
      @1104kdd Před 2 lety +2

      So true. It's a crap experience. I call it the grimliner. The a350 invariably is a much better bet for economy passengers.

      You all know that the seating is entirely up to the carrier's choice right? Had nothing to do with the plane type.
      Don't blame the plane. Blame your airline. smh

      Funny to read this. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I always thought Boeings were the best aircrafts until a ride in a 787-9 on a return flight today. The sound of the hydraulics reminded me of the sound I had to endure during my MRI. The flight aboard an Airbus A321-200 was much quieter going in.

    • @Odontomango
      @Odontomango Před 6 měsíci

      @@michaelchan8915 lol, I think the dude comment referring to him enjoying the sound.
      But yeah. I agreed though. 787 hydraulic sound is the worst. If you sit in middle of the wings. I had to endure it during my 787 flights too. It makes me wanna go crazy. I even read an article that a dog transported on the 787 had to go to a therapy after, due to the hydraulic sound.
      BUT. If you sit in front of the wings in like the video, or behind it. You barely even notice it.

    • @Odontomango
      @Odontomango Před 6 měsíci +1

      Not really, every time 787 have engine problems. It's always the Trent 1000.
      In fact, even ANA, one of the biggest 787 user, started ordering their new 787-9/-10 to equip with the GEnx engines instead.
      They mainly use Trent 1000. But it seems there are problems with it.
      Oh, and Air Canada use GEnx as well. (the engines in the video)
