- Backwards Bill Easter Jeep Safari Route combines Wipeout Hill and Sevenmile Rim Jeep Off-road Trails. We used a stock Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and lightly built Jeep Cherokee XJ. Features include tippy hills, Wipeout Hill, more tippy curves, Scenic Moab Overlooks, ledges, Uranium Arch, more ledges. We use a stock jeep wrangler and lightly modified Jeep Cherokee XJ to help you figure out if the trail is suitable for your vehicle.
There’s many ways to do Wipeout Hill and Sevenmile Rim and I wanted to do the trails like this. I later learned this route is called Backwards Bill. Other options are to go towards Determination Towers which is the typical Wipeout Hill Easter Jeep Safari Trail. There’s also an Easter Jeep Safari route for Sevenmile Rim. I have never been able to get off for Easter Jeep Safari so please correct me if I’m wrong on any of this.

Channel Info:
My name is Dewie Jones and I’m the reluctant host, videographer, and video editor for the channel. I’ve daily driven a wrangler my entire driving life starting with a 1997 TJ, most recently a ten year old 2012 JK, and now new 2021 JL. I like the challenge of driving a stock wrangler on tough trails. My buds are not new to wheeling either, but for their own specific reasons, now wheel aggressive SUV based off-roaders like Cherokees, 4Runners, Land Cruisers, VW Touregs, and Renegades. We decided Colorado Mallcrawlers was a funny name so that's how we got here. We film our trail runs letting whatever happens, happen and then later make the video an accurate trail guide with comments on how to do it better than us.
For trail planning, I use the Funtreks Books (amazon search: Funtreks books). I have the current editions of the Colorado books, Arizona, California, and Moab. I finish up my trail planning with TrailsOffroad as they can sometimes have more detail as well as user submitted current conditions feedback. I use GAIA GPS with TrailsOffroad waypoints on UConnect currently (although I'm not paying attention to it on filming days). Here’s my video that tells you how I find trails. • Find off-road trails t...

I love the use of maps on this video. Two thumbs up!
Thank you! I’ll keep using them and I’m going to work on more ways to make these videos better. Thanks for watching!
Zach in the XJ hitting it like a Boss! Wrangler making it look easy! Great video!
Watching it come down with the front tires spinning I was just cringing, expecting a half shaft to go POP.
Zach is a stud! I cheated with lockers but it definitely wasn’t easy lol. Thank you! Richard, lol, possibly, but Zach would be able to get it off trail if so… he’s a hell of a good trail mechanic!
I really have been enjoying your hard work!!! Thank you.
I love making videos, but I really appreciate hearing that people enjoy them! I try to make these enjoyable as I want people to see what kind of trails are out there. Thanks for watching!
Another great job Dewey! That was a fun watch and very informative!
Thanks buddy! I really appreciate that… trying to make them more enjoyable to watch while keeping the info there. Video making is tough tho lol
@@coloradomallcrawlers It really takes the time for me is editing. I can have 2 1/2 three hours of video and try and get it down to all watchable length and still keep it interesting. You always do a fantastic job!
@@outlaw9232 you do too buddy!
Thanks for watching! If you have personal insights into these trails, put it in the comments. While digging into our next video on a hidden scenic overlook near here (which we actually take the traditional Wipeout Hill Easter Jeep Safari route from Wipeout Hill), I learned the route in this guide is called Backwards Bill. I believe it’s an Easter Jeep Safari option, but I’ve never been able to attend EJS because of work so please correct me if I’m wrong. Another Easter Jeep Safari option is all Sevenmile Rim going from east to west (we’ll cover that one later, maybe actually at EJS one day). Anyway, your insights may help someone planning a trip to Moab and heck they may help me not make an error like I did here!
Check out our Moab trails playlist and more will be added as we film more… and I can’t wait to film more in Moab.

Excellent! I will have to check these trails out next time.
You’ll have a blast!
About 12 years ago I sold a Ural sidecar rig to a guy in Steamboat Springs. He drove it home from WV
Outstanding trail guide Dewie!
Thank you! I’m proud of this one even tho I could get people to watch it like some of the others 😂
Your video are a great help for all of us new to offroading and getting my 21 Rubicon more involved in running Colorado and Utah trails. Keep up the great videos.
That’s awesome! I’m glad they’re helpful and thanks for watching!
I get work keeping you away. I work out of state a lot. Wheeling definitely makes everything better for sure! Me and some buddy's are going around Breckenridge in August. Watching all your stuff and studying the fun treks book like a Bible
I love my job (most days), but the 24/7 call with our horrible attendance policy is my biggest struggle. However, this year should be much better as I actually have vacation time this year. There’s some great stuff near Breck… we’ll be filming more of them this summer. It was my go to trails as I lived in Keystone when I first moved here. Thanks for watching!
keep em coming!!😁💪💪
Thank you and I’m trying! We keep filming them, but I just keep getting further behind on the edits lol.
Great video! Sorry about the drone....but well played on the edits....
Going to Moab next month! We will try to fit this in! I remembered the burnt toast reference from 15-20 years ago...so I know I've done that part before!
Thanks, it was my dumb mistake and I’ll tell what happened in the next video. Thank you, I’m trying to improve on every upload, but I’m really excited to take these video making courses. I’ve been winging it so it’ll be good more. Have a blast in Moab! I’ll try to get the next one done before you go as we found a sweet overlook.
Awesome video, had a blast doing secret spire with EJS so can't wait to see your take on it.
Yeah, I definitely enjoyed that trail! I did an easy version of it but I found some optional stuff. Sticking to more of a funtreks route on that one. Thanks for watching!
This channel is a few big videos away from totally blowing up.
Honestly, I never thought we’d be at the point we are at now. You guys make me want to make better videos and thank you for the support!
We’ve done 7 Mile Rim but in the opposite direction. We opted not to go down Wipe Out Hill. It was a great trail....
Yeah, that’s a great way to go too! Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid! I thought you purchased a new Wrangler? I could be wrong, unless this was filmed before that haha. Anyway, thanks for the great content!
I did… I’m just so far behind on editing videos. Right now, I have a mix of JL and JK videos in the que. However, my old JK will be in some new ones to be filmed this year 😉. Thanks for watching!
Idk why this just now popped up in my notifications?
CZcams doesn’t like my inconsistency lol
Great video Dewie! Man that horseshoe tippy spot that you called “sketchy”, I didn’t like. It looks way worse than it felt but I dislike that crap! Awesome guide and keep it up!
Thanks buddy! I have a high tolerance to pucker, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of it either. I thought it felt worse than it looked tho lol. When we cover Sevenmile proper, I’ll GoPro the inclinometers so we can see what it is. Thanks buddy… looking forward to meeting up this summer!
@@coloradomallcrawlers that is so funny the difference in thoughts about obstacles. I saw that off camber hill and just looked to the bottom and figured if I go sideways then it will probably roll 3 or 4 complete times to the bottom, but at least it is sandy down there and has some cedar trees to absorb some of the impact 😂. I made sure the kids were snuggled up tight with their seatbelts fastened and I told them to hold onto the chest strap until we got over it. Once I got on it I calmed down and just took my time real slow, nice and easy and it wasn’t terrible. It’s times like those that I want a shorter lift for sure! I like being lower to the ground. Heck yea, I too am looking forward to it! Camron actually just moved to GJ from New Mexico so we will be out that way more this summer. I was looking at Bangs and Billings Canyon and some of those other trails out there. You know, performing trail due diligence
I’m back in Denver, but I’m debating going back to GJ because my employer allows our Denver terminal to be run so poorly (it’s actually pretty crazy the difference… it’s like I work for a different company when in Denver). However, GJ may be losing the best management I’ve had on this job and being gone all last year wasn’t the best move. We’ll see.

7:20 I was hoping for libby in this episode :)
Yeah, I’m sorry about that. I’m about 20 videos behind on editing… it’s a mix of JK, JL, Trailhawks, XJs, and FJs in those. Currently the Liberty is still in Tennessee (a drive of about 2-3 days) and my work is going to make moving it here to CO a pain. I’m with you tho, I want to wheel it and start modifying it. I’m just trying to figure it out. I may just film some east coast trails with it when I visit my parents till I get the time to get it here. Time unfortunately is what I don’t have a lot of.
@@coloradomallcrawlers I fully understand that. I was just pointing that there is audience for libby videos :)
Trust me, I’m in that audience and I really want to film it… it’s a big struggle right now. I absolutely love my job, but they own me and I don’t have much free time. It’s really hard to keep up with everyone and everything, but I’m trying to come up solutions. I’ll keep you guys up to date, but that Liberty will be used!
I think I just found one of my favorite new channels. How do I join up with you guys? I'm in Commerce City and I love wheeling Colorado and Utah.
Awesome! Thank you! Right now I announce trips on my personal Facebook page and community page here. Some people didn’t like my community posts so I don’t know. It’s easy for me to post it on Facebook tho, but I want to find something else eventually.
This is one of the few trails I haven’t done in Moab, so thanks for the video! If you want to wheel with me and my G Wagon, hit me up! I’m in Centennial but I do frequent Moab.
A G wagon wheeling is something I want to film! My schedule is crazy, but I want to wheel with those who want to wheel with us. I think I’m going to go live during our trail planning so if people want to join us, they’ll have the chance. I just got to figure out how to make those live videos not bothersome.
@@coloradomallcrawlers sounds good, I will keep an eye out! Yeah, it will be worth filming! It’s a 2016 G63 with a 4” lift on 35’s.
@@grisa12345 sent you a request on Facebook, realized you were the one that posted in the group. Let’s show people what that can do!
Hey Dewie, what bumper are you running in this vid?? I like the style and might get one myself... trails looked amazing!
It’s a red rock 4x4 stubby! I loved it and despite jamming it into some rocks often, it was holding up well when I traded in the JK.
Did you give Uranium Arch a glowing review?
Lol, yeah, it’s worth it for sure! A lot fun to get to.
