I am happy to see an interracial marriage last so long. I am black and have only seen two like this. My mom and I had an interesting conversation about interracial relationships and she stated have I ever seen an older black and white couple who had been married a long time and at the time I said no because I had not. I always thought they broke up and did not work out. This is encouraging.

I wonder what year it was when he was doing football professionally but also was seeing her and was asked to choose one of the two. also, I'd like to know more about their story their life their personal life and to professional life after they got married where they settled or did they move around for a bit bc it marriages were not accepted/ possibly even illegal (in some/ many states)' when they got married. Did they have kids, what they generally taught their kids about race

MIRACLE you both survived all the nasty remarks,insults,name calling,even violent assault that comes with a interracial marriage.I don't see ,how in the world. a black man,can keep his cool,in a white man's world - where he is stereo typed,lambasted, and seen as inferior by all the other races. He has to fight for respect - many times from the use of his fists.
