Awesome post! Up here in eastern Ontario Canada, we've been dealing with the first legitimate January winter in 3 years. We've had some decent snow falls but "NOTHING" like what that nor-easter dumped on you. But we've got temperatures in the minus 30s.....so we've got you beat there. Our trucks don't like being woken up when it's that cold. That's when you find out how good your hydraulic seals are......

I've been out of Mass for 17 yrs but I immediately recognized 1030 as being WBZ. My mother always had that on in the background. We used to be glued to WBZ snow days in the 70s in hopes of school cancellations. Dave Maynard in the Morning. I was born Oct '69 so I "survived" the Blizzard of '78 and I know these weather people in New England have been lusting over forecasting the next '78. They all want to have their hat blow off live on TV like the newscaster back in '78 did. None have had the power of '78 since. Although I remember one being close in '94. I can't comment on winter 2015 because I was already gone 10 yrs by then. Thanks for the memories. Now I need to text back home and see how much they got up on the North Shore.

The residents are so much nicer to you guys than to us municipal plows. LOL We get the 1 finger wave and shovels thrown at our trucks. LOL
I miss plowing snow, but not in those blizzards.

A bomb cyclone or Bombogenesis is when a storm drops 24mb in 24 hours This storm I believe dropped 24mb in 12 hours, which is extremely impressive!essentially the storm intensifies rapidly, going from a weak system to a power house quickly.

One of the worst things when plowing is the frozen wipers try some heated wiper blades, one of the best things i ever purchased for the elements. You won't be disappointed

You can tell by your Suppliers just in case. Here in Michigan I did Snow Removal as a Owner for 34 years, where every snowfall is normally 10” to a foot or more. I retired out of it two years ago. I just got so tired of being up all kinds of erratic Hours. I also was a Firefighter for 23 years I retired from that In 2013 to spent more time with my Grand Children. Our Construction end of the Business my son took it completely over two years ago. It looks like in the area the Cities and Counties contract with Independent Contractors where here in Michigan the Local,County and State do all Road Snow Removal, it’s actually a Against the Law to even Drop Your Plow Blade on a Public Roadway. We get a Ton of Lake Effect Snows here. The Stop signs are actually 10 foot High because the snow gets so deep you wouldn’t be able to see them, the same as Fire Hydrants have tall poles showing where they are so the local Municipality’s can clear them for access.

You brought back a lot of memories when I lived on the east side with that meatball sub the other day, another favorite of mine was the hot Italian sausage sub. I cant remember what kind of cheese was on them ? provolone or mozzarella ?? I liked both of them dressed with everything. Cant find the bread in AZ compared to there, it must be the climate.

That's interesting about the bread. I don't always eat unhealthy, if you were to watch my old videos, I eat a lot of collard wraps with hummus and a lot of salads with chicken breasts.
