What??? Ford is talking to you guys now? About time! Great interview! Meanwhile, my daily driver is my trusty 2004 Ford Ranger XLT.
Nice. Talkin' to Ford again!
I can appreciate Ford trying to keep the truck payload and tow capabilities while giving us off-road. It’s hard to get both.
Great to see y’all working with Ford! TFL and Ford = Awesome
Come out with the sasquatch package for the ranger!!! Why would they not?? Bronco has it compete with the wrangle, why not have it on the ranger to compete with the gladiator?
Because there is gonna be a bronco pickup that will have it.
Ford refuses to go ' All in ' on the Ranger. Frustrating for those of us who are Ranger fans from way back. Ford doesn't want Ranger to be a bigger hit than the F150...and the Bronco.
Really too bad it's not available in Super-Cab. The 6' bed and rubber floors option would have been popular with overland builds.
I don’t know why it isn’t offered on the supercab. Are there any legitimate reasons why Ford isn’t offering Tremor on XL packages?
@@SonikJesus I don't think it has anything to do with anything but money. They don't currently offer supercab on F-250 or F-350 Tremors either.
FABULOUS OFF ROAD DESIGNS You’d think they would make more money offering the lackage on all trims. What a shame. Hopefull the upcoming ranger raptor will be offered in supercab.
@@SonikJesus I agree. The Raptor is not sold in super-cab anywhere in the world so I wouldn't hold my breath. Actually Ford is even discontinuing the super-cab F-150 Raptor too, due to a poor take rate.
Ford thank you for giving TFL a chance :)
I would love to see a tremor f150. Might as well do it since it’s sandwiched between the two models that already have it
Wish granted
Are items from the tremor pkg backwards compatible for installation on fx4 models? I really like the multi leaf rear spring pack over the parabolic leaf. The fx4 was in need of more articulation for sure.
I'll stick with driving my 2003 Ranger xlt Fx4 flareside until they make a Raptor version or lower the whole truck market price.
price will never get lowered because Americans have proven they are okay with spending high dollar amounts on new vehicles. Also, new vehicles are packed with needless technology which causes building costs to skyrocket.
Ford talks to you now? 🤠
I was about to say the same thing!
Yes
Yaay!
Yay 😃
Omg, this is great news!!!
I can’t wait for more info on this truck option!!
Love this truck. I like when someone ups the competition in the truck & off road market.
How did this up the competition? The Colorado and Rubicon are still leaps and bounds better.
@@FXIIBeaver so you’ve tested them and think they’re better. I’m just trusting TFL when they say the competition is increasing.
@@markjones198 competion can't increase when there are only two actually competing. Is the tremor nice, yes but it isn't competing with the Rubicon or the ZR2 both of which come better equipped.
I have to say I like the way this Ford tremor looks with the retro decals, I think the rims look good too. Not sure if it holds the value the same way my Tacoma does but nice truck.
Or the 3.0 litre mkz motor!!! That would really catch my eye and many others for a mid size truck!!
Looks nice. Have a 99 Ranger XLT with the fare side box was thinking about another one to replace my 05 escape
If Ford is going to do this, please bring a similar F-150 variant based on the SCab Raptor frame!
Is the magnetic color of the wheels and trim, bumpers the same "magnetic" color as the 2019 Ranger had? Just curious b/c I ordered a Tremor a few weeks ago. I upgraded from a 2019 Ranger that was "magnetic" in color. I am hoping that the old Leer truck shell that was painted "magnetic" to match the 2019 Ranger, will match the color of the magnetic wheels and trim etc. Does anyone know?
I bought 2021 ranger tremor xlt package and it's the best midsize truck I've ever had that's the truth!👍🤠😁
Wow!! Ford is talking to you guys again.
Tremor vs Roush Ranger?
Roush has the fox 2.0 so its 2” level lift.
Does Tremor have a higher lift compared to fox 2.0?
About time. Having piece meal my Ranger to get to that level.
Is there much difference in off road capability with a level 3 off road Ford performance package versus the new tremor Package? there really wasn’t much dialogue on how the Ford performance packages really compare to the tremor.
Its awesome to see ford back.....
So it looks like Ford has forgiven TFL.
This is a good thing for both TFL and Ford.
It was TFL's coverage of the 2019 Ranger that tipped the scales for me to buy the Ranger.
Why no front E-locker?
super cab tremor would be nice ,has a 6 ' box
Thanks for this to both you and Ford. The Ranger Raptor would probably set sales records so why Ford is not bringing it to the US is a bit of a puzzle. The only thing that I can think of is that it would hurt the sales of Fords other vehicles. Question. Can one order the performance up grade to the Tremor that you can now order for the Ranger in after market? This Ranger is just the coolest truck. Although I am a bit disappointed about the Lariat trim on the Ranger versus the F 150 lots of options are missing. Well he answered my questions
Glad Ford is working with TFL. Maybe Ford got the message with the Bronco release.
Wow, nice that Ford let you do a 32 minute commercial for them.
Any comments on the ford maverick truck
I’ve been thinking about buying a Ranger. I’m still driving a 2000 F150 7700 4x4 lariat with 230,000 miles
Have a 19 xlt. It’s a good truck. The 2.3 is torque for sure! My only complaint about the truck is the small 18 gal gas tank. Wish it was bigger but 🤷♂️. I’d wait for when they completely refresh it in 2022.
In my opinion, this truck seems so much more practical and usable than any type of Raptor Ranger could ever be. The payload of the full size Raptor is just abysmal so I’m glad that this Tremor option keeps a respectable payload.
I would wait until next year of new Ranger Raptor with the V6 2.7 ecoboost engine. For now the Ranger FX4 is a great truck.
Put the fusion sport motor in it!!! Everything else looks great!!!
Love the Ranger....but why no limited slip front ?!? ...Ford should have seeing as how both the zr2 and the Rubicon have front lockers...at least having a lsd would make up some ground to the front lockers.....
Thank goodness the graphics are a option. This package is stand in till the new ranger comes out. They could of given it a tad more height, a torsen limited slip front. Should have offered on a supercab also. No need for a crew cab ford...
Those are the ranger raptor wheels ! I have them on mine.
I would ask the Ford guy why Ford never uses Cooper tires. Excellent all terrain in my opinion.
PS glad your talking to Ford again!!
Now how this Tremor compare to ZR2?
Didn't ask about the front Dana 30 lsd
I dont think it has a lsd in the front but correct me if I'm wrong
I’m not a ford fan but I’m glad you guys kissed and made up.
I have a 2021 Ranger Tremor....great vehicle for the Smoky Mtn trails
Is the Ford Ranger Tremor really a hardcore truck for off roading ? We'll see. It's good to see Ford compete in the off road midsize truck segment.
lots of talk about the tires, but did he say the actual size other than 32 and a little bit wider than the FX4?
Never mind just saw a screen shot at 11:17 its a 265/70/17 so one of the standard F150 sizes and 31.6 in according to General Tire
@@APDLuu literally .8 inch more ground clearance.
is this coming to Australia
We have an equivalent, known as the Ranger FX4 Max. Who knows? Possibly.
Off set wheel and shocks you can buy from the aftermarket for 5500.00. I’d stick with the FX4 great truck for the money.
So its an FX4 with FOX shocks, tires and stickers?
And wheels, and tow hooks, hearing can get a factory tune, light bar switches. For the 4,500 they askin it is actually kinda worth it ... just my thoughts
Oh yeah it’s a .8 inch more ground clearance ! Haha. No thanks. I can buy a real lift and tires that will blow this away.
Makes no sense they don't offer the ranger raptor, I was waiting on that, rn I have a zr2 but I'll probably be going with a trd pro eventually. The zr2 is pretty good so far though, no complaints, plenty capable
I like it a lot but the 18 gallon fuel tank combined with worse mileage than the F-150 2.7 ecoboost make it not feasible for me. Back to trying to create my own off-roader with an STX F-150 SuperCab, 2.7 ecoboost, 36 gallon fuel tank, and Falcon Sport/Tow shocks package.
?? I own a 2019 ranger fx4, it gets 24 mpg driving to work. My 2016 f 150 sport has the 2.7, it dosen't go over 18 mpg ! Both trucks have 45,000 miles. Ranger gets 27 mpg on highway.
Everytime I watch these videos i want to drink Vodka.
I just wish ford would offer a green paint job
This should be offered on XL packages amd supercab models. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t.
Give me a sport truck like the old F-150 Tremor!
I missed my 2014 Tremor till I got the Ranger Tremor. Now, I don’t even think about that rig. I’m getting 22.4 mpg and it has plenty of power. The F150 Tremor was getting 18.5 mpg with the 4:10 axel. The 3:73 and 10 speed is a much better combo. My old tremor would wheel hop under heavy acceleration and developed the timing chain shutter at 89k miles. The 2.3 was developed with Mazda and is a great engine with all the bugs worked out it with forged internals. the Ford performance tune is a great performance upgrade from the factory to.
tiresize.com/tires/General/Grabber-AT-X-265-70R17.htm technically 31.6" tires. pretty darn good 16/32" tread depth. 265/70 R17 is basically one of the cheapest tire sizes available for trucks. spotted the metric size at 11:16
Why don’t you guy just get the Ranger Raptor like here in Australia ?
The super duty tremor feels left behind. The ranger has a much nicer setup for a really similar price (I'm talking about what comes in the package) Could ford not do better than work truck wheels with a crappy black paintjob? The goodyears suck and so do the shocks. It would also be nice to have the seat stitching in the SD tremor. I love the idea for the tremor but execution wasn't that good. Where is my winch btw? Its been 10 months since I got the truck and still no winch.
Edit: Why don't the tremors level the trucks from the factory??? Everybody wants it and many of us have done it.
@@shitloveaduck ford already has different front springs in the tremor, they could have easily just made them longer. The only reason I brought it up was because a vast majority of tremor owners have done or plan to level their truck in some way. After I leveled mine it completely changed the way the truck looks. Its now much higher than a stock 17-19.
My work F250 feels like a tremor every time I drive it on the highway.
Sounds like a personal problem to me...
Put the 2.7 in it and I'd buy it.
Everyone is stuck on the "ranger raptor" name, this could very well be the U.S. ranger raptor. All its missing is the grill really. I like this better than the basic ass FX4 package.
So Ford no longer mad at you? I guess all is forgiven now that they needed their new Ranger plugged. :P
Andre doesn’t have any Russian accent, just noticed that now, it will be cool if he speaks with some Russian accent
Should have just come out with ranger raptor. This is just a stop gap between the fx4 and raptor to appease the masses until the raptor is out.
why didn't included a 3.3 V6 from the f-150?
Why would they? I think I'd prefer the 2.3T over that engine.
@@ALMX5DP it will more options for customers and make more use that engine and out last that engine.
@@daltonsmith9976 They are two similarly spec'd mills though.. And have no idea what "make more use that engine" and "out last that engine" is really referring to.
@@ALMX5DP The 3.3 V6 will outlast the 2.3 ecoboost engine because twin turbocharged engines will wear parts lot faster than regular engines will, and have better MPG with a 3.3 V6 than the 2.3 ecoboost will, and get GM, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda in the V6 department as a competitive rival.
Dalton Smith what parts will wear faster? 2.3 is a single turbo inline 4 btw, so half the valve train as the 3.3.
ok, off road management system, does that mean no lockers?
Rear locker.
FABULOUS OFF ROAD DESIGNS thanks! 👍🏻
@@fabulousoffroaddesigns5080 front dana 30 torsen lsd aswell
@@woffordsoverlandjourneys8618 really? I've watched about a dozen videos and nobody has mentioned it having one. Actually many videos mention it doesn't have one. Where did you see this?
Uh uh uh an off-road version of the ranger and it doesn’t even fit 33’s? Why would anyone get the tremor over the fx4? Ranger tremor seems very underwhelming for an “off-road package”. Side note why those steps? Just something else to get hung up.. bronco team got it right though. It’s too bad, the ranger could be a great off-road offering.
Ford Embargo lifted!!!
With the Tremor being offered, and from what I can tell Ford all but saying NO! To a RAPTOR Ranger. Seems to me Ford refuses to allow the Ranger to reach its full potential...the same reason that killed off the first gen Rangers.
Let’s be real, 1% of truck owners do anything that needs these off-road packages. My old accord could do most of the off-roading I’ve done
The need to update the ranger, it was a decade old design and look when it was brought back to US to be passed off as "New" The oldest most expensive rangers in the world right here in the USA. Also give it a N/A V6 option. Boosted stuff doesn't not have the longevity.
They don't see the writing on the wall. Could of brought back the 300ci. Inline 6. Thought Ford was gonna put the 2.7 in the Ranger. No deal.....looks like project TJ 4.0 here I come
The ford 300/4.9L is the most bulletproof engine ever made. They need to bring it back. My dad has an oxford white f150 xl (1994) with the 4.9L. Just pure awesomeness. The fuel injected ones don't get as good economy as the carb versions. Efi 15-17 city, single barrel carb as much as 23-25 mpg city
Man can’t get this year call tax credit.
Now that I know about the Ford Foundation, they aren't going to see a dime. Look into it before you sign on the dotted line. You won't believe what you're funding.
Sad, I was looking at the new Ranger. The last two I owned were tough as nails. When it's time to get rid of my F-150 it's looking like Toyota will replace it.
...you mean the closest you can get to a ranger raptor..? How'd you miss that one..?
#savethemanuals

*$48k for this 4 cyl hard plastic truck?Nah*
Built Ford Tough
What makes me P.O.ed at Ford is they stopped making the Ranger for N America because they didn’t want it to effect there F150 sales.
I owned (4) Rangers in a row. I didn’t want and still don’t want an F150.
So they lost a customer. I bought a Colorado. First GM in 30 years. Burnt in the past so I hope not to be with this GM.
But still pissed at Ford.....
There wouldn’t be a Ranger if not for GM.
Nice way to tac on 10 to 20K just call it a tremor. You get better suspension and a lift kit. Is it me or is the automotive industry money hungry
It’s 4-5k ... not bad
It’s a much better value to do a XLT Tremor over a XLT FX4 with the Black appearance pkg. I paid 39k for mine it’s awesome.
When it gets a moonroof , I'll be interested.
