Thiery Henry from 2001-2006 was an absolute beast. He finished top scorer every year, apart from 1 year where he was second top scorer.

Arsenal fans will never forget how they robbed ballon d'or from Henry in 2003, he was a complete attacker, scoring by every way, carried Arsenal to win the premier league and won the epl best player.

Henry is the greatest ever scorer in world football. My favourite Henry goal was in 01/02 season against Manchester United at Highbury when he swilled turned and lob the ball into net. A great goal from a great striker in world football. Two league titles, two FA Cups, 4 Golden Boot awards and 4 Footballer of the year awards. 228 goals for the Arsenal.

I'm Irish, so I didn't appreciate the handball, but when the barca fans started abusing him outside the training grounds because of it, I genuinely felt for him... That one handball should've never defined what a fantastic player he was!

Had he been more selfish... he would had scored more. He would never take penalties he won, he would always look to assist and he always tried to score a particular type of goal... Like look at the goal he scored against Middlesborough, he could have just tapped it in but his instinct was to open up his body. He was special.

@@damage1136 The standards did fall for a few reasons. The Arsene Wenger with the mental makeup of 98-2002 Wenger wouldn't have fell apart as he did post 2005. The change in philosophy with going for smaller diminutive technical type players in place of big, powerful but skilled players, his loyalty to jokers like Almunia, his stupid policy of only offering 1 year extensions to 30 year olds, offloading 95% of the invincibles in 18 months, refusing to adapt his tactics in certain games & the big spending sugar daddies led to his demise. I listed 5 or 6 points that caused the loss in standards & all but 1 were within Wenger control. Imo of all the coaches in the league he was the one who could compete with limited funds due to his intelligence but his hubris which imo was due to his stubbornness eroded his abilities (along with the lack of a director of football type person who could give him a hand in transfers which ironically his hubris wouldn't let him accept). If Wenger would have kept buying the same type of athletes in addition to Cesc & na$ri he could have won more trophies from 2006-2013. In closing Wenger was a genius & like the big man said he built the team unlike chelski & citeh who bought it all but he was mostly at fault imo. Had he kept Pires & Viera with Cesc we would have done much better. I mean Van De Sar was ready , available & fucking cheap but he kept bloody flappyhandski & Jean Reno's bizarro twin brother instead!
