For those of you who miss the pack openings, consider checking out my new series: The Deck Devastation Challenge!
That show has a ton of pack openings sprinkled throughout the episode, in addition to some REALLY silly duels with super janky decks.
czcams.com/video/Gf4BIicJg8c/video.htmlfeature=shared
So basically, asking if we want pack openings for THIS SHOW was pointless then?
@@Noxty15 No, you can still ask for pack openings on the ladder climb. Many people are.
But in order for me to add those back in, you'd have to outweigh the people asking for shorter episodes and the people skipping the openings. And there's been a lot of them over the past year or so.
No need to be so dramatic. Feedback is always welcome and he has listened to it in the past. If enough people ask for it, the pack opening will return in the next episode @@Noxty15
@circolodellinconcludenza4369 I wasn't trying to seem dramatic about the situation. Personally, I don't care how pack opening go. It's just that from the responses I saw to others, it seemed like he was asking a question he already decided an answer for.
@@HardlegGaming Thank you for answering my question and sorry for seeming salty about it. I am fine with whatever you do with this series. Keep up the great work.
this thumbnail is easily the most cursed image youve ever made, and ive been around since the original yugipoops
well done joe :)
That thumbnail is what Hardleg's reaction is gonna be when they finally ban Maxx C
At this point, I think Konami are purposely not banning it to troll Joe
Opening 10 packs at the same time is good. Cutting it completly would be a loss though.
Thunder dragon fusion mentions "cards on the field", but the fusion itself requires monsters, so IN THE BACKROOOMS YOU STAY
Amusing rulings are amusing.
Yeah, if Titan said "Colossus + 2 thunder monsters" itd work I would imagine, but since it doesnt... BACKROOMS FOR YOU, EVIL ONE!!!
Didnt come up, but....
"If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish 1 Thunder monster from your GY instead."
Does that still apply while its a spell, since it doesnt mention it being a monster? So if you put Colossus in the Backrooms and Feather Duster, does it protect itself regardless?
I would imagine it doesnt because its still only a monster effect, but im a little unsure cause it just says "If this card..."
@FloPe97 I imagine it would since that’s what happens with Shooting Quasar Dragon if it was equipped to a Cyberdark monster. Even if it was never synchro summoned, if it leaves the field it special summons; so, I assume that if it were to be destroyed in the backrow and not removed any other way then it would still work.
I was really hoping for a rolling snake-eyes joke in the intro. Looking forward to watching though.
You have to admit, what we got was still pretty dope.
You deprive me of my beloved pack openings under the guise of shortening the episode and then dared to make it 3 hours long anyways?
For me the best part of each Episode.
Come on Hardleg give us the packs
Imagine how much longer it would be if I kept in all the pack openings!!
Also the Deck Dev Challenge has a TON of pack openings, so you can get your fix there if need be.
@@HardlegGamingaslong as we get our fill of Joe we’ll be good….. PAUSE
@@fatherofrose4027 lmao 🤣 😂
That's very ardwulf of you hard leg
The fact that the Tear Pile player managed to hit you with two roaches and mill a hundred cards, getting into prime OTK position... only to lose because he didn't read Ancient Fairy Dragon's effects... is the most 'modern yugioh player' thing I ever witnessed.
It said destroy a hundred cards and I was like, "Oh no! Not during the deck devastation!" forgot which series I was watchin'! Thanks for the great content joe
I love editing such a great episode
:D
"son of a birch! *glup*" almost made me spill my pepsi LMFAO the edits keep getting better
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE EYEEEEEESSS! I love this series; good stuff as usual Joe!
I hope the next climb is something more jank. I like seeing Joe succeed but I feel more invested in Rooting for the deck when it's like Egyptian Gods or springans or something like that. Great episode anyway though. I do like the pack openings btw, but they're not required either. I'm one of the people that prefer the longest episode you can make. I listen with my headphones at work so I want to get the most content I can. I suppose I should probably shut up or move up from one dollar to 10 on the patreon to vote on the deck. I really want to see dracoslayer or dinosaurs. Thanks for what you do Joe. It brings me so much time of entertainment and countless laughs and smiles.
Next episode is Gold Pride. I'd say that's significantly more jank.
@@HardlegGaming I agree. That's awesome 😁
I love the pack openings pls keep them
I feel like there's more than enough pack openings in the Deck Devastation Challenge. If you really like those, consider watching that show.
@@HardlegGaming oh I'm watching that too don't worry about that. But idk skipping pack openings like this takes away some excitement, some disappointment, and you seemingly didn't notice stuff.
@@HardlegGamingI feel like telling people to watch a different series when they say they wanna see the pack openings is really bizarre and lame. It’d be like going to your doctor telling them your leg hurts when walking and getting told “well just hop with the other leg then”. Unless your viewer retention on these longer videos is absolute dogshit, then a longer episode is just a win for the viewers and you. Guess it depends on your analytics but given I’ve seen the exact same original comment 3 times now, it seems it’s what the people want Joe 🙂.
@@stonzy87 My retention isn't awful, but it does dip during the pack openings, and I've had multiple people tell me on previous episodes that the episodes are too long, and the pack openings are boring.
To keep your analogy, I feel this is more like going to a doctor and asking for a specific medicine, and having him tell you that another, lesser known medicine, is actually beater to treat your condition.
I'm still giving people what they want, I'm just moving it to a better venue. Instead of 20 minutes of openings followed by 2 hours of duels, the Deck Dev Challenge sprinkles in pack openings after every win.
@@HardlegGamingI dunno, given a chunk of the comments are saying they want the openings from this series it might be an idea to post what would be the edited pack openings from these episodes unlisted and in the video be like "Hey, if you wanna see the pack openings, there's an unlisted video down below in the description. So go there, otherwise let's skip ahead to the decklist!". That way it gives the brevity you're trying to go for while giving people who really want to see the openings from these what they want too. Best of both worlds as far as I see it Joe
Editing is really good and fun on this one, which is specially funny because it goes the extra mile in every moment EXCEPT the time Hardleg said he could be creative and do anything for the transition lmao
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with long episodes. If there are 4- 4 1/2 hours of content that you think deserves to be in the episode then it should be that long. Likewise if you think there’s only 3 hours of content that deserves to be in then it should be 3 hours long. I understand wanting to keep the episodes at a certain length but I don’t think it should come at the expense of interesting duels and/or pack openings or deck updates.
Good to see this in my notifications after binging the other ladder climb episodes all this week. This is gonna be fun.
Hey Hardleg! Great video man, watched this while i was busy at work, it was great to listen to. I have a little bit of a meme to recommend. You know the Koala deck from Yugioh GX? I'd love to see something competitive made out of that lol.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of decks in Yugioh simply aren't competitive, no matter what you do with them, and Koalas is among that large list.
joes refusal to wear greenscreen friendly shirts is iconic
This series definitely helps with learning how to play the various decks. It’s the whole reason I picked up Generaider and developed a love for Libromancer. Happy to see it back!
This is the best intro you ever came up with. Keep up the great work being watching you since Mr bones wild ride.
Old School Leggo
the field spell allows you to summon the opponents monsters in the spell zone as well to your side of the field. so it works like a slow snatch steal as well. taking the ladies of the labriynth is fun
sinful spoil of jumpscares - hardleg
pls fewer sound effects. The ones that repeat at the start of every duel are especially annoying.
@@MetaKaios i'll be sure to put even more next time 😈
Must say I took me only 3k gems to get all but 1 diabestar(Which I crafted :D). My best pull was triple wanted and 1 poplar in single 10x pull :D
Hi Hardleg. Thank you for showcasing this deck. As a new player it helps a lot to see you play it. Now I have a better idea how to play against it. I also honestly want to try learning the deck because it seems like a really fun and flexible deck that allows for a good amount of mistakes.
I'm watching specifically because you do an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating the play-style of a deck. I've even picked up a few archetypes cause of these ladder climbs, like Generaiders!
I really REALLY love this series because its like the Yugioh equivalent of evolution by survival of the fittest, grinding through all the ranks, finding the most usefull deck in a certain arquetipe. It helped me a lot to get in the game by following the Gothi episode and really understanding what my new favorite deck of all time can do.
I like the pack opening because it gives some familiarity with the cards you are playing, as someone who has never played myself I Like to see the cards sortof one by one when you get them and talk about them. Still enjoyed the video=)
Eyyy, nice to see you cover this deck. I do agree that going more towards pure linkage might make it easier to pilot, but I will still try to shove Acadonda + DPE package in there to help with the destroy 5 cards missions.
It's kinda crazy how dragon rulers are basically back and now we have basically dragon rulers 2 diabellstar boogaloo.
Tier 0 and there are not a lot of easily splashable counters.
Man, the editing quality on these knows no bounds.
The way i personally do pack openings is i skip most of them, but i go through them one at a time whenever there is an unusual number of SR and UR glows
Also, as someone who did his first Master Climb with Ancient Warriors back during the Tear 0 era, seeing how many of the level 10 questions were randomly dedicated to my favorite archetype made me feel weirdly vindicated.
You know watching these duela have really just made me wonder why they ever made snake eyes. Like it is too too good. Unfathomably so. I hate that it feels like it’ll be a trend to have a tier 0 deck every year now. Especially if they’re this type of deck. I truly can’t wait for it and the diabellstar engine itself to get hit super hard.
It'll keep happening as long as konami keeps printing decks that have 90% of them with "if this card is sent to the graveyard" because those decks are a problem, too many grave effects is a big deal, konami you don't have to put this text on every main deck monster for decks to be playable
Kashtiras banish face down is a close second in stupid though right next to "touched the GY"
@@gregnog8119 making every deck gy focus is when Yugioh truly started hurting itself
That thumbnail is amazing. The editing was also top notch.
Hard leg is trying to become the new face of my nightmares with this thumbnail.
You're welcome :)
Really hoping you see this HLJ, but from testing I've been doing, Zombies actually play really well into Snake-Eyes since if'n you didn't know if they make Eldlich a continous spell in the back row, both conquistador and Huaqaro still get their effects. Also Doomking really hurts them. Maybe look into it and share your thoughts?
A funny detail, unless there is a ruling I haven't found, I think that Flamberge can bypass proper summoning of extra deck monsters, because it makes them into spell cards and then summons from the spell/trap zone this may allow actions like pitching a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon or Unchained Abomination via Extra Foolish Burial or Cyberdark Claw, then using Flamberge Dragon to make that monster a spell card on your turn and then summon it on the opponent's turn.
I don't expect this to be a very useful play but it would be funny to see somebody pull it off if it works.
The standard Snake Eyes deck is pretty good, but the handtrap wars get boring pretty quickly. I played Snake Eyes Sky Striker with no handtraps, inspired by the deck played by Joshua Schmidt, during the duelist cup and got a 15 game win streak during the event. Also not sure if the matchmaking takes into account that I wasn't playing Maxx "C", but I almost didn't see it while playing this deck. It was pretty fun to break boards with Triple Tactics Thrust, Cosmic Cyclone, Enemy Controller, Forbidden Droplet and of course the sky striker cards.
In the Master Duel swamp looking for that 20ft python. YOINK!
One thing I’ve been doing with snake eyes that makes it kinda fun imo is rescue ace snake eyes. Something funny about a fire hydrant being the core of the board.
There is so much gas in this deck that Initial D opening started playing
It’s good to be back
got a guilty conscience from playing snake eyes so I mixed metalfoes in which resulted in such a fun and high ceiling puzzle deck with basically so much gaz that your true enemy is the clock and not your opponent, as well as maxx c and droll of course. going through beyond the pendulum + electrumite/astrograph putting down a vortex dragon, savage dragon, early apolousa or, depending on hand and opponents interaction, all of them before even normal summoning snash is just crazy. PLUS mithrilium is basically the most explosive combo piece for princess you can get your hands on, almost too explosive tbh. its got just endless non linear combos, didnt have that much fun with a deck in a long time
The first 15 seconds 😂😂😂😂 great intro🙌🏽
Curious to see how this climb measures against Tearlament, hopefully Joe gets a stomp, hes earned it.
Birch does tag out, but only on the oppenents turn. Good recovery tool if you lose flamberge early
Never before have I seen Hero kid hit with so many handtraps and called by
man when fire kings come out in master duel.
Ngl I wish Ghoti had their new stuff in MD, been playing it at locals and full power Ghoti can cause so much interaction with your opponent that game 2 or 3 with soul absorption you just win for time against snake eyes because every interaction your resolving between 5-9 chains going off
you can spell S E X on the board using snake eyes monsters (with one in defense mode). That's the tier zero deck.
I think if you just have the pack openings with clips if you hit relevant cards to the deck you're building is probably the best middle ground for it because they do improve the deck building section experience IMO.
Also Poplar not having an "if this card is summoned by its own effect" clause on its search effect is the most insane card design I've seen in a minute.
I had the exact same trouble with this pack, I swear the Noble Knight stuff and Crimson Dragon were weighted lol
We’re so back!
soy-tsu is hilarious, excellent stuff this episode legman jim
a soytsujak if you will
Ah yes Snake-Eyes, the first going 3rd deck in the game
1:43:35 I can't believe one of my Matias brethren would take 2 hours to make a move, then again knowing the time Joe streams at they were probably falling asleep, if they're from one of the latam timezones then it was probably a bit late (but not horribly late) and if they're from the Spanish timezone then it would have been like 3 to 5 am
One other option was dinomorphia, I hope Joe does that at some point
I used evenly matched on snake eyes and won with a dark magician deck and loved every minute of it 😅😅
How do you get the dingirsu wallpaper that hardleg has??
It is one of my favorites but I can't find it in the store
Here's a list of all the wallpapers and how to obtain them.
Unfortunately, the Dingirsu background was a limited time thing that you got from the Duel Pass. There's currently no other way to get it.

@@HardlegGaming that's sad thank you tho king
While I enjoy the pack openings, I completely agree that out of all parts of the ladder climb videos, it’s the smart choice to cut short.
Thirdleg Joe never fails to fill me up with content
I got my comfy socks on, a bunch of fluffy pillows, and a few hours to watch Ladder Climb. Let's do this.
Saving the ash fir the maxx c in Duek #36 is a 200 iq move
I enjoy the pack openings, but I do see how they add to the workload for the editor. Maybe just a separate video that's just pack openings to see your luck (or lack thereof)?
I can already feel the absolute salt from the 20 minute + combos.
2:58:29 Maxx C 2 Gammas Nibiru. Ouch I feel that pain man
we need the pack opening joe

"I don't want to be like, the max c guy" - The max c guy 2024
I am absolutely convinced that skipping opening gives you worse pulls 😂😂😂
I think the pack openings being skipped to the end but still going over the cards pulled quickly is a good compromise for these ladder climb videos. I watched a lot of the vods and these edited ladder climbs are a great way to experience them and I am one of the viewers who learns a lot of the decks in the game by watching these.
🎵Charles in Charge🎵 played in my head every, single, time, 😅
I am 42 mins into this and I consistently forget about the voice going "snaaaakeee eeeyyeeesss" by the time the previous duel finishes and I just can't stop laughing at it because I keep forgetting about it and how ridiculous it sounds
Little sad that for Thumbnail and Intro there wasn't him rolling "Snake-Eyes" on a pair of dice. That would have been perfect.
wow! So ghost bell is the answer!
24:40 Kurikara is BEEG
Didn't expect to see her again, here of all places. Hardleg and/or his editors are very cultured
Og hardleggers will remember the snake rain and reptile DBCs
I was wondering where u heard that "snake eyes" audio clip. #slatt

I knew there was a reason all my snake-eyes opponents seem to go first. It's cause they are!
I wanna see Hardleg make master 1 using a maxx C challenge deck. Prove it deserves to be banned
*Casually goes +5 in response to Lightning Storm*
Hmm, yes, fun and fair.
I thought you took a month off for health reasons? Are you ok? Did the surgery go well?
I did! There was no episode in March. Now we're back :)
And yeah, the surgery went well.
@@HardlegGaming
Glad to hear it! After all, nothing is more important than one's health.
2:35 exactly why I clicked back to this video!
I climbed using tear this month. I honestly didn't face much snake-eye. Snake eye is the best deck, but it isn't that much stronger than the other stuff so the meta is pretty diverse.
22:50 they may not have played into the imperm if they had summoned a monster first. I don't bother playing around imper with my spell placements if I don't have a monster on board, but I play around it if I do.
I'm climbing with Purrely and I haven't faced a single mirror yet, I'm on Platinum 1, we'll see on diamond.
I still don't know how to beat snake eyes though.
I watch this series because of pack opening. pls keep them
Toss a coin to your Hardleg, o' snake-eyes a-plenty
i don't mind the shortened pack openings tbh
i know hind sights 2020 and all but honestly the game at 1:00:00 against Rikka you should have just drop the rock even if they had a Negate, just to get rid of it since it shuffles back in the chance that you did draw your starter.
I loved the 3 lessons of the 3 C's but it gave me a good laugh
How do we vote or suggest a deck for the next month?
I have a thread for that on the Patrons-Only Discord.
Thanks, I’ll go subscribe to that when I get paid next
Another video where Joe sells me storming mirror force? Maybe ....
Im not going to lie id love to see you try to climb with Utopia its one of my favorite decks and its not bad
HARDLEG UCHIHA IS HERE, HECK YEAAAH!
love the thumbnail
Editor popped off on this video
Ive mentioned this before but i really think you should change the coin toss counter to how many times you win going first and going second to actually see how much the coinflip matters. Youre gonna have around equal coin tosses by the end so its pretty pointless to have it like this (also you can calculate it with what i suggested anyways)
I just formally wanna say "HI" to No-Legs and Kritter :D
Also... really?! The Sonic drowning....brah lolz
Could you do a galaxy-eyes/blue eyes deck? U smart fam
#KEEP_THE_PACK_OPENING
personally joe i liked the pack openings it was fun to watch your reactions to it your personality opeing packs is something i love, but if it save you time editing and/or money to do it this way im fine with it but lease at least do one per vid :)
The Backrooms are a scary place. Some monsters visit and never return
Gotta do burn next.
