Very instructive, more of this! One suggestion: please use always the same main forwards-backwards direction for the kata. Some parts were shown when facing a different direction relative to the dojo, which is confusing. For example use lines on the floor to indicate the main direction, especially for the turns. Now I needed to figure out why I ended up looking towards the left of my starting position. :-)

Sansai is shotoryu's kata or shotokan?
Sangat bermamfaat...
While this is a very clean Tosa lineage version, I still hope that the original version from Shukumine would gain ground and more people would study that version. There are plenty of details that have changed in the course of the years since Gensei-ryu was dissolved.

I studied Wado Ryu in the United States. I have never seen this Kata before but I really like it. I am going to practice it along with my Wado Ru katas.
In karate wado-ryu and other principles of production of blocks and other basic racks.
Sansai is a gesein ryu kata

@@larrydicus7822 While nothing prevents you, I can hardly see why you should because the nine core kata of Wado should already be enough for a lifetime of study, Ohtsuka made that very clear.
Also, how can you understand the kata if you don't know anything about the principles and basics of Gensei-ryu? Wado has very specific way of moving compares to other styles and very clear basic techniques that describe and define the style as a whole. Could you ever understand the right way to do Wado-ryu's Naihanchi if you hadn't been introduced to the kata by someone who understands it? There is almost zero overlap with Gensei and Wado, so at best you would be merely doing a weird pattern with wado technique without having any context what you are doing...

This kata looks very artificial. By that I mean, it doesn't flow like the traditional katas we have.
