Oh man I was 12 when I first heard this song. My Dad and my older sisters always playing his music. His music is a history of my life. I was 5 when I first heard his music. I just turned 58, Bob has been in my life for 53 wonderful years. He is my go too. I always say Bob is my therapist. ❤🥰

Saw Bob on his last tour and he ended the show with " Rock and Roll Never Forgets" , Bob will never be forgotten for sure!
You two are spot on so far as the context of being brave strangers. One lyric in particular for me is when he said his hand was shaking. That to me says that this was probably also a first-time intimate experience for the first person/ singers perspective. From the first time I heard this song it definitely hit home. In my life I have had a couple of encounters where personality and physical attraction were present from the get-go. So being brave strangers we allowed ourselves to become one to enjoy each other in the moment. Probably both knowing full well that it would never develop into anything that was sustainable long-term. But man, what a song and what an experience during the years of innocence and experimentation.

Woo Hoo. I'm so glad you did this one. One of my favorite Bob Seger tunes. If your interested in another couple of deep cuts that are still really good. (A lot of artists when you say "deep cuts" means songs that aren't as good as their hits, but not Bob) Sunburst and Feel Like a Number.

Thank you for this reaction to this great song! I hope you will listen to Bob Seger's song EAST SIDE STORY that he composed when he was 21 years old. His group back then was "The Last Herd." He independently released the song in 1966. I think you are right Asia and BJ. Seger has stayed true to his bonds and his roots in all of his songs.
