    Just Wow. Grinding the first Clean, misses the jerk, recovers for 2 minutes, cleans the jerk almost harder and finally Jerks it. Unbelievable performance. This competition before the olympics pushes the athletes to their absolute limit.

      She could have "sealed" going to the OLY, but if that arm is fucked now, she 100% IS NOT going cause China will just pick one of their other lifters that can win gold with a hangover and diarrhea at the same time.
      So even if she set a WR, it only matters IF China believe she cannot possibly fail at winning gold.

    This competition is just crazy, with the new olympic system it forces athletes to gamble on WR attempts to be allowed to even go to the Olympics. If you are from a country with a lot of lifters such as China and compete in a stacked weight class you practically need to set a total WR so they will let you go. This is gonna push the limits for so many athletes and potentially shatter many long standing records but most likely also gonna end quite a few careers earlier than they should.

      IOC is doing this to rob china of medals. In sports like swimming and athletics, federation sent multiple athletes per discipline and grab multiple medals. Only in weightlifting their is so much restriction. ​@@pizzatime7431

      that just means whoever goes is a guaranteed gold, the Olympics will be dogshit in term of actual competition. A lot of "olympians" will just participate.

    Women results: 45kg Won Hyon 196 (it's a top4 in 49kg), 49kg Ri Song 221 (it's a top2 in 55kg), 55kg Kang Hyon 234 (it's a top4 in 59kg), 59kg Luo Shifang 248 (it's a top2 in 64kg), 64kg Rim Un 258 (it's a top4 in 71kg), 71kg Olivia Reeves 268 (it's a top1 in 76kg), 76kg Jong Chun 259.

      Can you tell me how this new olympics qualification process works? I have seen other vids where they mention a particular athlete needs to make the top 10 to go but then reading other comments here it seems that each country has an allocation of 3-4 athletes they can send. Thanks!

    Feels a bit sad that i am around the same weight at 52kg .. and cannot even lift 1/4 of the entry weights. I think the heaviest i have ever lifted was something weighing 30kg .. and it wasnt nice.
