G19X "USW at Home" - Quick Range Demo

- Sorry in advance for the post-shot volume dips. This is just a quick video showing some test shooting out of the G19X “USW at Home” design I came up with. Over all, I put over 100 rounds through it today without any issues, including to the thin “arms” that I assumed would be quick failure points. This frame has a lot of promise!

I see a PDW style weapon, so here’s that comment for Algorithm purposes.

It's a trigger that has a mechanism to reset it to stock position after a pull.
@@crossup13 ah, so it's not a machine gun because the mechanism still needs pressure from your finger to break the sear. I wonder if that would hurt your finger, knocking it into the trigger guard.
@@Matityahu-the-God it only has a few lbs of pressure so it's only enough to push back on a slight grip.
I’d like to see you do this with an M&P Shield. CCW PDW.

Love ur videos! 💣👍🏼 Wish I could shoot like you, but just not natural at shooting a target at all - could u recommend a good beginners gun 🔫? I'm going to start lessons in a month or two
Best bet is to go to a gun store that will let you safely handle a few guns to see what fits your hand best.
But the recommendation will almost always be either a Glock 17 or 19. Boringly reliable, easy to learn how to shoot well, massive aftermarket support, and they're comfortable enough.

Yes, standard Gen 3 G19 parts.
Very nice I want to make 1 in 22lr and when I seen the thumbnail picture I thought it was that Middleton made guy you kinda look like him 😄

Maybe. It unfortunately would require a full redesign since the rails and locking blocks are different between the 19 and the 17 pattern frames.
I know I'm going out on a limb here, but could you make this style for the Steyr C9 M9 L9 etc? (that takes glock mags)
That’s a big ask. We’re talking about designing a new frame completely from scratch, developing machined rails so that it can be built from parts kits (which I have no idea of the availability of), completely re-engineering the feeding angles and mechanism of the pistol, etc. If this was just an add on for existing frames, it would be a different story, but this is a whole self made firearm.
It would be cool though because I love Steyr pistols.
@@booliganshootingsports there's gotta be some luv you can throw steyr's way bro even if it isn't a whole pdw chassis. What about just a cyberpunk style grip module for Gmags? The aftermarket is nonexistent because apparently steyr treats their damn tank like a red-headed stepchild; no marketing

what non-glock parts are needed? Like the spring and bolt for the brace, the pins to attach the mount to the frame, etc. ? Did I just miss that in the documentation somewhere?
Hardware should all be in the readme. Otherwise, the brace hardware is mentioned in my BooliBrace documentation.

What orientation would u recommend for the sight mounted charging handle?
I printed the prototype at an angle flat on the rear portion, for lack of a better word. Basically the part you look at from the rear. I’m doing another version that would print better vertically face down if this one fails.
@@booliganshootingsports thank you. I’m playing around with some tpu printing and I think that something like that would feel good as a grippy rubber instead of rigid.
@@maffioli14 I only worry about making the mounting point rigid. If it can flex and stretch, it would likely come off. Maybe a dual material print.
@@booliganshootingsports I guess I shall be fucking around to find out then if it can handle it maybe a gradual infill setting with nearly 100% infill near the through hole but 20-40% at the finger bump
@@maffioli14 Luckily, a 7 gram chunk of TPU flying off and smacking your forehead would honestly not be bad at all if it does fail, haha.
How would a guy be able to test that build? I have a g19 tactical kinetics slide and barrel just laying around
