Totally agree with you! I feel the ‘phone stand’ was a last minute decision that was just put in without much practicality! Never the less, Thank you Tiago (TC!!!)
With regards to the repetitiveness of builds nothing beats the globe from a couple of years back and even though the end result was great putting it together was so tedious 😅😂

Seeing the new sets lego puts out is always cool
The lack of lighting in the lamp post is a huge miss. If both the booth and lamp lit up, that would look fantastic.
I don't think lego sells lights with they sets

I hope that Yugoslav kiosk will have enough votes in Ideas. It is red too, looks as if you put this telephone boot sideways. It is nostalgic for people from former Yugoslavia, but I think that most people would find it satisfying to build.

No tart cards in the phone box?
I remember someone would clean all of them out but a few hours later the phone box would be filled with them again.
I bet someone has already uploaded lego themed tart card sticker designs somewhere .

I’ve never customised a Lego set before but would it be possible to make this phone booth blue? I want make it look like the tardis from doctor who but not sure how to get the pieces
considering the light brick and piece count, I would have expected a much higher price. Pleasantly surprised at the value!
When the result speaks for itself, I really don't mind repetetative builds.

Would be great if a future Royal Mail postbox included build options to switch between CR, ER, and even GR.
I wonder if they kept that out because of possible issues with getting the Royal Mail branding in it

It's a really cool set but I completely agree with the "phone holder" part, although I don't think it detracts from the overall build.
That said, it was definitely a last minute decision with how little thought seems to have been put into both accessibility and potential product damage due to the angle your cord would be resting.
Part of me wonders if the idea is for your phone to rest sideways with the phone box removed, but that doesnt make sense given the poles/bollards seem to be there to hold your phone upright?
That would be a great idea! Just get rid of this red box, then you'll have a proper place for your phone. Buy it now for only 180 bucks!

Licensing issue is my guess. Same reason the Ant-Man set had to have giant Lego bricks instead of the Thomas toy that was actually in the movie scene.
@@troodon1096 I know that there are liscensing issues,but that just makes them not choose cool lego sets like shreks swamp,and the thomas one,But wouldn't be cool for us to get a big duplo thomas set,using the new sound brick for voice lines?

I don’t know if I’m not the only one, but I don’t hate stickers. They’re easy to apply (most of the time) and people reprint stickers if they ever get damaged, whereas printed bricks you can never get reprinted. If stickers brings down the price or adds a few more pieces into the budget then I’m fine with it.
At the third stroke the time will be a pass from me. Could have used a few red windows in my last build but dont need this many

Quality control seems nearly nonexistent these days. So many sets has mismatched colors, stickers that aren't cut correctly, or have really damaged glass pieces. Having the phone set in place gives a good scale of the sett. It feels like something is missing from the set for that price.

Flacid lamp pole is a deal breaker for me.

I'm usually not one to complain about stickers, but I think nope on this one. Lego puts out 4+ sets with a super high price tag, collectible minifigs and (drumroll) no stickers. I feel like this set is kinda cool, but printed bricks would have added to the build purposefully

Its a nice set but being from the northern UK I hate the London focus as these boxes where all over the UK. Theres more to the UK than London.....
Just for info, it's the K6 box that was all over the UK. This set is to commemorate the introduction of the K2 box in 1924, which was only installed in London. It was introduced 12 years earlier than the regular K6 which dates from 1936. They are also a different design, the K6 being smaller and with a different window design. But I agree, it's confusing, and Lego have not explained it very well in their literature.

The police station and fire negate references are genius!
The window panels are too small relative to the frames... but okay. I like it otherwise.
Typewriter was worth it, for the price and size. But this set is overpriced. Still nice,but way too much. Hopefully,later on, Lego will make smaller versions of this, similar to the outhouse s.
It would have been funny but unsuitable for children if they included all the postcards advertising escorts that line the walls of actual phone booths in London

I live in united states and my den has a UK theme and this would be great there. I have been to England and Scotland and love it there.
Man lego is just too expensive for me to ever get back into it, £100 for this is just unjustifiable unless I was earning seriously more money

It's a neat set that I'll never buy at it's pointless except as a standalone display.
The LED bulb is way too dim. Unless you're in a dark room or look directly at the light, you barely notice it at all. With the room the light takes up, you could also fit a rechargable battery and much brighter LED. The bulb only exists, because they can make the product more expensive and advertise it better.

This is a K2 red telephone box and should have 6 rows down of 3 windows wide, this only has 5 rows down. For this reason I can’t buy it 😢 I have a real K2 red phone box and it just would not be a real replica, I’m so gutted !! 😭 😭

I know I might get some backlash on this comment.
But I dislike it when Lego designers put references of their family into the products they're making.
I know it seems like a nice thing. but for me I want references that are actually relevant to what the set is about

Great review but this set doesn't interest me at all. It just seems boring with no figs (Minifigs wouldn't work with this scale anyhow). The cell phone stand is just stupid, I see this on sale in the near future...
Hot take ... the 10K people who endorsed this aren't all going to buy this. This is such a meh set for me.
The question is: why I have to buy this?
