Can you think of any other LEGO Sets that fans hate?
I know The Star Wars lego heads like boba fett and Stormtrooper always have missing pieces when I get them and I have to Go through my lego bin to find the pieces
2022 LEGO MARVEL HULKBUSTER THE WORST LEGO MARVEL SET 😡👎
Drives me crazy
First Order AT_ST...yikes
The liebherr lr 13000 just because of the unreasonable high price lol (atleast i wouldn't be suprised)
At least with the Hulkbuster, this talented MOC designer RansomFern took only the pieces from the set & made it 100% movie accurate with more articulation while also keeping the gimmick of Iron Man fitting inside. Then they made the instructions available on Rebrickable. Now that’s a feat of engineering!
i think you meant "feat"
@andyavisand well, it depends how much engineering went into the feet of the figure.

Lego needs to hire him. Like seriously, he was able to make the same exact build but make it 10 times better with the same piece. Lego is really missing out
But it's trash
Releasing Lego sets without trying to build them first? Man, they were getting a head start before the software development industry went full steam ahead on that.
Why am I suddenly thinking of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing?
Those Star Wars buildable action figures were a bit wonky, but the General Grievous one was absolute awesome!
most of the buildable figures were good , the problem was more with the human faces . Vader or the range trooper are absolute beasts
I take it because he essentially is mostly robot to begin with, also obi aint that bad either.
the best ones were the ones with masks or cybernetics. K2SO, Jango, Cody, Vader...
I liked Grievous, both Vaders, Kylo Renn, and the tall robot. More complex ones, more pieces I liked... Was ruminating on Chewie, but a bit dear for what I'd get from it and I hadn't a need for the shells it provided.
100% i also remember a boba fett one that was really cool
The Obi Won Kenobi figure actually looks pretty good for a lego action figure.
It looks like they used Obi-Wan's design from the Clone Wars tv show, which is probably why is looks less jarring than the other figures.
@@shiethegalYeah that is why he looks better than Luke and Jyn.
I think the best part was that big 'ol cape!
I don't think the concept of action figures with swappable parts has ever worked. Just look at Hero Mashers, which barely lasted a couple years even with using IPs like Star Wars and Marvel.
Don't Bionicle count as "action figures with swappable parts"? They worked pretty well, though
@@ZandorDaysev hero factory worked great too tbh
Both Bionicle and Hero Factory worked because they were both Lego first types of Buildable Action Figures, not necessarily made for simply swapping bits from one to another, but being able to fully integrate with regular Lego pieces, whereas Galidor and Hero Mashers could only really swap pieces with one another. Both Hero Factory and Bionicle also meant that the figures could be modified, customized, made smaller or bigger, or even be created with regular spare Lego pieces to make entirely new, original, and different figures not sold in stores.
I know technically Galidor pieces can be used with regular Lego as well, but they are so highly specialized and detailed, they just don't look much like Lego pieces at all, so aesthetically speaking, combining them with other Lego pieces looks ugly or strange.
@@ZandorDaysevnope, that and hero factory were more creative and versatile
I think op is talking about Galidor since it’s identical to hero mashers
It’s never worked
That little Lego police car was one of my first sets as a kid. It wasn’t much but it will always hold a special place in my heart❤️
Aww 🥺❤️
Since galidor used the same ratchet joints the the knights kingdom buildable figures had you could build some awesome mechs with some their limbs
I have been buying bulk and doing that for years.
The bellville line + bioncles, oh lord the terror
The only buildable figure that works, in my opinion, is the general grievous one
That dude's more mechanics than man, so of course the figure would look so much better!
I had the Darth Vader one and i remember really liking it. It was tall and prettry badass if you ignored the head, which was a little too big
@@lemaismarabou1920 k2so and the range trooper were really good
imagine if the hulkbuster set came with the lego iornman set. it would have been received so much better.
maybe
maybe but it also coulda been recieved worse bc of that
One thing to appreciate the galidor set for, Even though it flopped, is that it made the way for bionicle, which proved to be a major success. Lego learnt from past mistakes.
Galidor was released after Bionicle.
Ye Bionicle came before galiodr, will say tho it. introduce the ratchet joints so still something!
Am I really the only one that likes the blocky car designs more? I find that there is some aesthetic lost when you go in to too much detail and use smooth bricks to cover up the studs in lego. I really loved my 90s lego cars that I owned. They were all blocky but that was part of the charm.
I agree! Sometimes I feel people want Revell-like models, but Lego.
I also like the charm of the oldies. They also invite more to play with, instead of a display model.
The 8880 Super Car is still proudly displayed in my old room back at my parents' place. I installed lights and all, it looked pretty snazzy.
The police car one is underrated
The lack of minifigure is extremely random, which I feel is one of the main reasons it isn't viewed as highly. Otherwise it's just a generic late 80s/early 90s lego town single vehicle set
Can’t let you hate on the dragon masters, those sets where pretty damn fun with some friends and the minifigs where absolutely Stellar!
I got one and the wings on it didn't stay on and it got stuck in a tree. In my opinion, the spinjitzu ones are better
I don't think that the Firstborne Dragon Brickhead looks all that bad.
Same! I think it's kinda cute.
I looked at firstborn in the show, then at the brickhead figure and realized it kinda sucked, but that's just my opinion.
I owned every Galidor figure, I loved those things as a kid... we actually did not know about the TV show until years later, it was just not on in our house.
2:22 BIONICLE is a constraction theme and it sold really well.
The difference there is that BIONICLE was designed to be semi-robotic, and built from mostly Technic pieces, so the builds "looked LEGO-y".
@@Bubben246but it was a constraction theme tho
tbh, i had some galador sets when i was a kid, however, i must have been like 4 or 5. So I had a good time playing with it.. but looking back, I can understand why people didnt like it
The Firstbourne dragon was fine. The Lloyd Brickhead was the problem since it looked like striped pajamas and they did not bring back the green eyes with the Lloyd movie brickhead. Also the lack of printing did not help.
I have the Jyn Erso set in question and I quite like it. She's stood up on a shelf with Captain Phasma and K2SO.
I also had the Deluxe Gorn figure as a kid, I'm pretty sure I got him on deep discount.
And let's not forget the headless first order atst, that set was a crime
The ratcheted ball joint pieces that originated with various Galidor arm, leg and head pieces, carried over to other LEGO System and Constraction Figure themes after Galidor was discontinued (LEGO is never one to waste good ideas for special pieces), much like how the ratcheted hinge pieces and cockpits that originated with LEGO Star Wars and Rock Raiders carried over to other LEGO System themes starting in the year 2000...
I still remember when Galidor premiered on Latam Nick, the same night Yu-Gi-Oh did. They really buried it in their programming, I only saw that first episode and the last one.
I was amazed at the lack of Jack Stone.
Also the fact that I can equip them with different types of parts of the Galidor character pieces Is awesome 🎉
We lost Bionicles, for knock off lego action figures. Big sad.
I feel like when people say that a Lego set is “terrible”, it’s complete over exaggeration. They always say “this piece is too big! this piece is too small!” Etc.
It feels more nit-picky than actual criticism. Not criticizing the video or anything, just Lego reviewers in general. If it looks enough like what the set is supposed to represent, who cares if one part is too oversized or undersized
Those police cruisers were the backbone of the City of Abscissæ's fleet for well over a decade. They are now relegated to reserve status, but used for large events when more officers are needed. They aren't roomy--and they certainly aren't fast--but they serve a purpose!
i had an airsitzu flier when i was like 8 years old or smthng and one day i was at the park, launched it, didn't hear it fall on the ground or see it anywhere else and never saw it again. but for real these things were sooo good
That subscribing segment was such a smoooooth transition! 😅
7:41 is that just a straight-up crate? Nah I'm definitely copping that
That little police car is super nostalgic to me. The first lego set i actually remember being given was 6505, a small fire car with a fire man mini fig. Its super basic, but also so nostalgic for me.
There's a moc on rebrickable of the hulk buster using the exact same pieces from the official set and it is stunning and fits the action figure aswell.
Bit of a tangent on lego car recreations, I hadn't touched a lego set in over a decade then while on a bit of a vacation I went to an aquarium that exited through a lego store. Saw the Back to the Future DeLorean, and kind of had to have it (One of my all time favorite movies). Looks super cool and can be adjusted to whichever film version you want. Only down side is the front wheels don't turn left or right.
Oh my god, i had that nick mcdonalds galidor figure as a kid and i never knew where it was from, glad to know it was official lego. I wonder if i still have it tho 🤔
Never saw the Jyn set before - I’m sure people worked really hard on this but I literally laughed out loud when it came on screen
Then Galidor came up - I’ve also never seen or heard of any of the sets or show before - and I was gone
That underbite is cute as hell
I just came back to this channel and remembered subscribing at 11k wondering why you didn’t have more subscribers… wow
I feel like the Hulkbuster would have been a lot more well-received if, at the same price, it had come _with_ the Iron Man figure.
Dont give them ideas for better scamming
possibly but that coulda caused it to be recieved worse actually
Despite Jen Urso, being such a cheap set on brick link, and no one really cares to get it somehow because it’s older and the popularity of Star Wars, there’s some people that are unaware of people not demanding for that sat and still put the price way, high or retail priced and it just shocks me I’m like no one will get that
I honestly think the Brickhead Dragon looks awesome
The Ninjago brick heads looks really sick.
For the hulkbuster there's a moc that uses all pieces from the set to make an accurate hulkbuster with room for the buildable iron man
When I was a kid I had a friend who had a bunch of the Galidor sets. He always called them Legos but I assumed they weren't Lego at all and he just called them that because you could take them apart and put them back together.
Oh I was only into Bionicle and I remember Calidor I had the black and red bug with really long legs, we never had the show in my country, but I got it as it was interesting and I used it as a monster against my GIJOEs rofl. Brings so much memories and I got that bug thing in 2000's
Check out some of the Galidor MOCs that the community has made. Some of them are actually quite excellent.
okay but the audi tt roadster is adorable
I really have no clue what your problem with the hulkbuster is aesthetically, it looks great and the fact you can fit Iron Man insode is awesome.
Hostly as someone who big into action figures same here I assume why people don’t like it is because it doesn’t look at all like the one in the movies, I hostly still love to get the sets out of spite and probably just for he parts
Omg my dad got me a bucket of legos he bought at a garage sale in 2005 and I always wondered where that weird red creature I got was from! This video answered my question almost 20 years later, Galidor!
Okay, the Galidor thing unlocked a childhood memory because I had one of those toys and had no idea where it came from
I feel like the Jyn Erso set sold so badly cause....noone knows who they are as a character, nowhere near as iconic as someone like Obi-Wan
EW
I just brought a BNIB galidor collection
The pet never actually appeared in the show. It was meant to but they had a problem with the puppet and cut it from the script
5:43 HOLY CRAP THOSE WERE LEGO!? This unlocked a core memory I had that gorn black figure and Bluetooth. No O'Dea wtf they were or came from
I may die on that hill,
but I defend the Galidor Heads compared to the CCBS Star Wars humanoid Heads
The reason why the hulk buster is so hated is because with lego its hard to get any good natural curves and I honestly like how it looks
Nice vid dude! Ive been watching since the Volectro review!
That series isn't about lego with illegal building techniques, it's about mistakes in box and promotional art and the instructions
The headless walker is simply insultingly awful.
Also, the battle of hoth collector's edition or whatever it's called is also abysmal. I remember the unfinished ion gun...
90’s Lego cars look like a kid’s drawing come to life and I love them :]
I still see the star wars figures from 2017 in stores
Slugger fan here, Galidor is perfection.
idk if i had a galidor set, but i do have some pieces and yeah i can't think of anything to integrate them with.
As a bionicle guy Erso has PHENOMENALLY good parts for moc making
Wow I have one of the galidor sets and I had no idea it was Lego I just got it from McDonald’s as a kid and never knew what it was
I like the Ninjago Dragon Brickhead. He looks cute.
LMAO the thumbnail haha how does a toy ruin your whole life though XD I get it though, hyperbole 😅
pls add another background music i was fr scared and it its 23:00 o´clock idk why but its really just scary
I got a bunch of Galidor figures as a gift as a kid and wondered wtf Is this and honestly I forgot all about them until you showed them
If you look on the box for Lloyds golden ultra dragon the crystal warriors are all wearing armour pieces and in the set they have no armour
I thought the Ninjago Boulder blaster (aka roto jet) would be in here because it soo hazardous
Oh man i had that police car. I thought it was pretty sweet at the time. 😂
Galidor walked so Bionicle could run.
I just saw the ironman set at the thrift shop, unopened for $5.00. I thought it was ugly, so I didn’t buy it. But since it is the most hated set it might be worth something later. Dang.
The worst one I have if the first Back to the Future Car. No windows or windscreen :/
Oh my god I had the galidor toys!! I had no idea what those were when I was like 7 haha
Lego sets of bygone eras, they had two or sometimes 3 different ways to put the pieces together, and came with instructions on the different designs you could do with that one set.
These days, they go together in one way, and one way only.
Also, people moan when the set doesn't "look right", for instance, that Hulkbuster Set... so Lego have ended up backed into a corner, forced into making things that contain specific parts that fit only with the set it comes with.
So basically the parts can't be moved around, and the pieces are all specific to the set.
Basically, modern Lego is Air Fix.
I'll admit to wanting one, and only one, Galidor set: 8312 Jens. He sorta looked like a four-armed, cycloptic C-3PO to me.
idk a side-by-side of the movie and Lego Hulkbusters would've been good
personally I found showing the movie version for four seconds and then bringing up several design differences kinda hard to follow
This hulkbuster is a very good set I find it very cool that you can fit the iron man buildable figure in it like you can fit an iron man minifigure in normal hulkbusters the only down side is that you have to buy the iron man buildable figure separate
Can't believe there were never any Galidor wireless headphones.
I love that cute lil dragon
I like the hulkbuster…………
This brought back memories of the Lego Galidor videogame.
Those _Galidor_ figures remind me of _Max Steel._
Hulkbuster, black panther and almost every newer "technic" vehicle. Way to expansive, to many stickers and strange, bad designchoices... These days they seem to disappoint me more and more.
the lego action figures flopped for 2 reasons. First these things weren't accurate enough to the source material so collectors didn't want em and second, as someone who got the kylo Ren action figure when younger, just thought it was frustrating to play with.
I have two but as desk toys. Maybe it was marketed to the wrong demographic.
My lego Sonic set has a part that has 2 Black spots but Its green
I LITERALLY SAW THE SERGEANT JIN SET AT A TARGET YESTERDAY IN MARCH IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2024 😂😂😂😂
On the opposite spectrum, I think that the Lighthouse is the best LEGO set of the last 10 years. It is perfect.
I am from germ,na yi only was at discovery centers 3 different once, I was picked to get my very own lego brick and i still have it soo cool. a brick no one besides me has.
Yeah I remember when my dad and I (both star wars fans) see Lego Jyn in the store, we burst into laughter and taunt the designer like wth r they thinking lol
"Bluetooth" (Blåtand, in Danish) and Gorm was kings of Denmark 1100 years ago. "Bluetooth" was actually the son of Gorm.
the hulk buster is amazing!!
I was 10 when galidor came out and that’s a trip down repressed memory lane
Wow, god damn Galidor. Thank you for unlocking a core memory.
the ninjago dragon looks better than the creator 3in1 dragon tho (31145)
Don't think it counts as a "set" per say, however I definitely know that Mr. Gold is the most hated minifigure of all time, and understandably so 😂
8:13 the 7+ isn't the age recommendation, it's the number of pieces
7:53 He definitely can NOT read blue letters.
3:14, tbh id rather buy figures because its more posable and more desplayable, other normal sets get ripped apart for custom builds and get lost
