When people saw Mei’s transformation out of context initially there were a lot of complaints of it’s “blandness”, but now that it is in context, and seeming like she received the blessings of the 13 Flamechasers leading up to it, it really is a perfect transformation.
The complains still make sense because she supposedly inherited the will from all 13 Flamechasers but her suit only looks like Ely's. If the devs took inspiration from all 13 suits to create a completely new one, there would be no complains.

And it would make sense that it wouldn’t be some big trial to become HoO because Elysia said she was already qualified. Second, Mei is Herrscher of Origin, not Herrscher of Flamechasers, so it would make more sense that she greatly resembled Elysia and not a tacky mishmash of the 13 Flamechasers.

People saying Hoyo is killing the Flamechasers for the 4th time... I really can't see it that way. I see it as Elysia's ceremonial to her sucessor, the new HoOrigin. And by the "trials" she know very well her sucessor might kill her own friend. Well, one of the two remaining Flamechasers. (Su ascended to a new realm through his death in the Sumeru) It's kinda sad to see Kevin was digging his own grave. The whole project, alongside Vill-V 's backdoor/letter... It seems the Project Stigma was, this whole time, a smokescreen (or perhaps a prerequisite) for Project Ember. A gamble by the Old Origin's sacrifice who changed the Honkai's Enforcers to the New Origin that might change Finality - and perhaps the WoH - itself.

I think one thing that was lost in all of this was Wendy and Ana really did try their best to fight for humanity, but Wind and Ice was just too much for them to control.
It does kinda lose impact when the flame-chasers "die" for the... fourth time, but this was a fun one. Sure, I could make a drinking game out of it at this point, but I really enjoyed the depth of Mei's grief. I do think she could use some therapy.
No one dies here..... it just finally Mei understand their pursuit and their mind. Even Elysia here is not real, just the illusion created by Mei herself based on memory from intersect with power of Origin.

But in APHO part 2 You get the feeling that she forgot all of them, and that's when counts as a death. Is it because of the "death" of someone more important in her life? I hope I'm wrong.

What's HoO Authority?! Like we know other herrschers have some autorithy/powers over some laws of the world, like HoV over Spacetime to some degree or HoS over illusions and dreams... what exactly can do HoH and what was given to Mei or she just boosted up her already existing powers?

However, given the clues the Authority of Origin has the ability to rewrite fate in a way or in other words hack the imaginary tree to create a chance for humans. Origin was never meant to exist in Finality’s order, so it makes sense that the power is more related to humanity’s side. The Trio Herrschers have a pink pupil resembling the Authority of Origin is “protecting” them from Honkai
That's what i always wondered to , considering what Elysia being was described to be at this point and the authority name, i always thought it had to be something special but even now it is not really explained . I guess to some degree it is the power of miracles towards/and for humanity . I guess i don't know, not even Mihoyo knows most likely .

Origin is the angel, Finality is the God. That's why the devs only called Kiana the god of honkai. They never said that about Elysia. Also, Mei and Kiana won't fight together. Kiana becoming Finality is the victory in and of itself. There is no need for a fight. Kevin himself was looking for someone who could become Finality and save the world. He tried to do it himself but failed because his body was incompatible with the authority of Finality; he could use the authority but he couldn't own it. If Kiana achieves what he couldn't do, that would be the best ending for him.

I don't know if there will be another fight with Kevin, but if there is, it would happen only because Kevin wants to die.

In the end both Otto and Kevin achieved the endgoal of saving humanity - but they did it in antagonistic and brutal way, by sacrificing so many. So it will be like Otto's plan of Kiana to fight against Himeko. It will allow Kiana/Sirin/K-423 to get control over the Herrscher's power as a human and not become just a vessel for a Will of Honkai. Herrscher of Origin in previous Era made it possible in current era.
I love it when things come together. Or when a journey that started a long time ago comes to an end and a new journey begins. Or when things that you didn't pay much attention to before now have a greater meaning. Raiden Mei is now the official successor to Elysia as Herrscher of origin. 😍I think it's nice that Mei was able to talk to Elysia one last time. I just thought it was great that Elysia openly disapproved of Mei's fight against Kiana in her own way and Mei then became meek.😂 So now Bronya and Raiden Mei have risen to become new herrschers. Now only Kiana is missing. The 1, Strongest and actual main protagonist of Honkai impact 3 and leader of the trio. You could also say that while Mei succeeds Elysia, Kiana seems to succeed Kevin. Kiana is what Kevin was in his day. I can't wait to see how Kiana achieves her new Herrscher form.😍😍😍
The trio becomes less human and more necessary for Honkai power (Until the Moon rings arrived in Apho where they taught us that ALWAYS there was a way against the Honkai if they had focused on getting more information from Truly transmuting the Honkai into different energy without affecting them, XD)
