Does it have a built-in power supply? How many watts does it need?
It does not have a built-in power supply. Since a portable AC unit is a high-power appliance, having a built-in power supply would make it too heavy to carry. However, our inverter is built-in, so you can simply plug in the AC unit and start using it without any additional connections. It requires 480W.
Exactly, if it had a built in battery like the awful ecoflow wave 2 or other portable acs. It would be big and bulky, and if the power supply fails the whole thing is useless. Also it's much better to have a central solar battery instead of a bunch of smaller batteries, since charging multiple smaller batteries would be a head ache. If a company makes a portable ac with built in power supply, they're doing it out of greed, to get you to buy multiple power packs which are redundant and inefficient. @@BougeRV
Can this run off 48v DC? How many watts it consume on highest setting?
No, it is configured for 100V-120V AC ⚡ and cannot be used directly with DC power. To use it, you need to add an inverter to convert DC to AC. The air conditioner’s rated power is 500W, so we recommend an inverter of at least 1000W. If you're interested, check out this new inverter: bit.ly/3L4lpFp 🚀
