- With Mario Party being in a bit of a weird spot right now with the latest games branching away from the traditional Mario Party format, a lot of people are wondering what the future of Mario Party has in store. In this video, we'll be going over just that and also talking about why I think a new Mario Party might just happen sooner than you may expect.

I’d be okay with a sequel to Mario Party Superstars but the focus this time is on Mario Party 4-7 boards. I just want more than five boards in the next Mario Party game
I want ND Cube to pull a Mario Kart and have new boards and retro boards in every game going forward.

Heres an idea I've had for a several months. A mario Party mobile game, but with Wario Ware microgames, called Mario Party Micro!

I think superstars 2 should have combined elements of Mario Party 1-6.
It would make more sense that it would be 4-8 because of the Hudson Soft era.

Tbh i would hate this,sure i want something like the older games but i dont want them to do a second superstars based off the gcn era (despite it being my favourite mario party games),i want something thats classic but new ya know
I like these ideas, Loser part does actually sound like it would be a fun game mode, there are mods like that, and they seem fun.
Mario Party needs:
- In-Game Store & Collectables (no microtransactions): for example, character outfits, store-exclusive boards, store-exclusive characters, store-exclusive mini games, online-user profile icons, store-exclusive Game Modes and so on... and also! Emoji Mario icons.
- Story Mode: nothing too fancy but, I remember NDS mario party was pretty fun and it had bosses! Story mode could be rescuing other characters, and unlocking them. Also unlocking the final board (typically Bowser Board) is always fun.
Battle Mode: MP challenges. I mean the typical 5 minigame challenge or score based games, whatever...
- Retro Boards: 4 from N64 and 4 from NGC + 4 new ones.
- More game modes: like a team based game or new online 8P mode. Or Mini Boards.
- Outfits: just like MP2 did, it would be cool if the next MP had different outfits for every board.
- Characters: all the classics + Toadsworth, King Bomb Omb, Koopa Kids, Diddy Kong. You can unlock more characters in the story mode.
How many characters would you want?

We need the return of Perspective Mode from MP9 as well, the mode where minigames are played from a different point of view to make them more difficult to win. Mob Sleds was the hardest one.

I really like Mario party 9 and 10
I think having an amusement park themed one even better than the ones they already have. It starts at the entrance to the park, you all start with 5 stars and steal them from each other via chain chomps it's sectioned into oh say ...five rides and a roller coaster in the center.
Each ride is where you get a chain chomp and each ride section has a different theme. The roller coaster is a safe space from the chomps and a quick way to get from one end of the board to the other but you bypass all the other rides but you get coins along the way.
However, step on an action/happening space and you're run over by the carts and sent all the way back to start and lose half your coins in the process.
People keep predicting Mario Party 11. Guys… Super Mario Party IS Mario Party 11! Birdo confirmed it in-game!
it isn’t though. it’s not a numbered title so it isn’t mario party 11. it’s just another game. like how the DS,and the three 3DS games, aren’t numbered titles but game literally just normal mario party gameplay.
@@cwega2463I think Mario kart tour also don’t count for the same reason. Even though it’s mainline, calling the next game Mario kart 10 just for this reasons confuses casuals.
@@cwega2463 It doesn't have to be numbered to be the eleventh title. Ever heard of the trope "Stopped Numbering Sequels"? Plenty of long running franchises do that. For example. How To Train Your Dragon's first sequel was called How To Train Your Dragon 2. But then the third movie would be called How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
Yeah, it’d be weird to just abandon the numbered titles just to bring them back a few years later. Unless they plan on rebooting the series after this.
If they made a Mario Party all stars that combined everything (every board, item and mini-game) from 2 and 3 and added more characters, I'd buy it.

i think they’re definitely overheated tbh
I think we need to balance out item shops like bringing most powerful items in the 5th or 6th turn and create more chance time minigames cause i remember when Mario Party 3, 4, 5 & 6 had different types whenever someone lands on it. Other than that, if superstars gets dlc, makes a sequel or create a new game, THAT would solve the emulator problem in switch online.
You have to make a new video in which you rank all Mario games again. It is now almost 2 years later!

Tbh id hate if they remade more of the older games,sure i want classic mario party but it just being remakes would add nothing new to the series,i want them to make new mario party in the format of classic mario party,heck even do boards with diffrent rules like in 6 or 7
My guess is that they pay homage to reality competition shows in the Next Mario Party Game. Mario and Friends are cast onto a reality show hosted by Jimmy T from the Warioware games.And for the big gimmick, they have a team mode that supports up to 16 players to devide everyone up into teams of four in addition to the four player individual party mode. Also they have a separate mode with the car.
Mario Party 8 is a game, I love to see to get remade! Not just the mini games, but also the boards! I am hoping for a new Mario party game, that is a traditional style game play. Nothing like the mini stars version too.
i think the most important thing is that is has $60 worth of content.
superstars is great, but it’s really a $25 game at best. 5 boards and 100 mini games all remade from older games (that had more content each than superstars), and that’s it. and it’s all reusing assets from Super Mario Party.
in my eyes, the next mario party needs MUCH more content to give reason to its price. a character roster similar to Super Mario Party in terms of size. 10 boards as a minimum (it’s seriously time we get more), and 15 as a good maximum (in a perfect world i would have more but i see this as slightly more realistic even when taking in NDCube’s laziness). multiple unique side modes that incorporate mini games into them but don’t involve the board games (thinking of the roulette game and bingo games from wii party for example). and honestly more mini games. 100 sounds like alot, but you end up revisiting some very quickly. 200 sounds reasonable.
this prediction may sound too much to you, but that’s only because nintendo has conditioned you to expect barely any content in Mario Party games.
also i think it’s time we start getting the option to play with more people. up to 8 plays locally or online. and honestly i feel like that would work with the same sized boards. making them too big to accommodate for 8 players would make the individual player’s turns boring. so 8 players on the same maps would be even more chaotic and crazy.
Asking for 10 boards is like asking for a baby that can’t walk to run. I think we should have six boards bare minimum. I think the board can be divided into three open and three linear boards. The 3 linear board follows the format of Mario party 1-8 where the open board features the movement freedom seen in partner party of super Mario party. Super Mario party hindered its board by forcing open board linear, making them mediocre. Separating them is a good idea.
I think they should balance the economy and remove the single joy-con restriction. The character specific dice is a good idea though. You can still get a regular dice. I believe making the regular dice have (2,4,5,6,8,10) instead of (1,2,3,4,5,6) would be better though. For new idea, I don’t think we need another major shift, I suggest introducing power up that let you do special moves would be cool though, here’s my idea
Super star: only an effect for 1 turn, you can land on bowser space or coin loss space without triggering the event and 5 coins will be deducted for player you ran past.
Fire Flower: only an effect for 3 turn unless you get 1st place in a mini game. You can shoot a fireball in a 5 space radius(open board) or 5 spaces behind(linear board), every space the fireball bounce catches on fire and when player was hit by the fireball or went into the space on fire, they will lose 5 coins.
Ice Flower: leaves behind slippery space that cause the player to go 5 space afterward regardless of their dice roll, the player lost the ability to move for a turn(or only 1 space forward) when hit.(3 turns)
Raccoon leaf: able to fly past coin loss spaces, let the player take path that is blocked.(3 turns)

Super Mario Party is kinda confirmed as being the 11th Marioparty (Dialogues from Birdo) but with Superstars it's harder to say.

I highly doubt we will get a Superstars 2, we got Superstars in 2021 and The Top 100 on 3ds in 2017. But a Mario Party All-Stars game could work

Honestly if they just did dlc expansions like Mario kart 8 booster pack Mario party superstars could have been the ultimate package. Just simply adding more classic boards and mini games with like 1 new board sprinkled in. Then it really would be the best of the orignal style taking more from the GameCube era. New characters as well. Bring back toadsworth man 😠 Either way I’m always down for more patio party. Stop giving 9 a hard time fellas! Haha

Mario party super Stars was a disappointment to me I'm sorry but I got to be honest 10 people to choose from plus 5 maps I swear with each Mario party that comes out they're constantly getting more and more and WWAAAAAY MORE stingy with the maps next we will only get 4 maps or no 3
With the last 2 Mario Parties severely lacking content i don't really have much faith in the next game

Ok, Nintendo doing a MP11 with mobile usage and up to 30 players would be SOOO cool! But if they do this, I hope that you can at least have the option to play on your Switch and not just your phone. Cause I'm honestly not a big mobile game person. But these are some great concepts!

It’s technically already a feature if you consider Bowser and certain CZcamsrs have already tried their own takes on the idea. So having it be its own mode doesn’t sound that outlandish.

Also, for superstars 2, please I hope they don’t bring back koopa’s tycoon town, however we will probably get boards from the first mp superstars, new ones from 1,2, and 3, and finally new boards from 4,5, and 6, also 200 returning would be nice, I was so sad that we didn’t get many from Wii and Wii U. An inland like place where you go through and beat all the mini games in the game. Oh, and as much nobody likes it, we will probably get Mario party 10 port to switch, which I will like considering my Wii U broke cause I threw it against the wall.
After Mario Party 10 and Superstars, Mario Party 11 is the Next Mario Party game I'll think. Super Mario Party Legends sounds good too! ⭐️
