#Oprah is one of the most influential television hosts of our generation. At one point she was named the most powerful black woman in America. Now people are starting to question #OprahWinfrey and some of her actions. Why is she friends with CREEPS like #HarveyWeinstein YET she drags Michael Jackson. Oprah is full of hypocrisy and poor choices. So let's get into it.

She took total, complete glory on how wonderful she was, how she is donating all of this money, never once mentioning that it was all sent in by viewers of her show. She never donated anything, other than what people gave her and I doubt she gave it all, I’m positive she took a cut too, you know, for all of the hard work she put into it. I’m positive that he asking for money on her TV show was incredibly difficult. 🙄

That’s the reason I can’t get through interviews that either Jimmy Fallon or Howard Stern do. As far as Howard it really irritates me because unlike Jimmy (probably because he’s on radio and can ask what he wants) he actually asks really interesting questions that I don’t see other people asking and celebs for whatever reason feel comfortable answering even really personal stuff but the problem is he doesn’t shut up long enough for anyone to finish their answers. He asks a question, let’s them start saying really interesting things then before they finish he asks the follow up question and does it the whole interview. I can’t tell you how many times guests would be in the middle of revealing really interesting sometimes very personal things they’ve never revealed publicly and he keeps cutting them off. With Jimmy most of the interviews I see now it’s so obvious he just does not give a shit what the person is talking about. He wants a short answer so he can ask the next planned question and be done. There’s a reason he’s famous for that awful fake laugh, he’s not at all interested. I started looking at comments to see if people agreed and most comments are usually complaining about the same thing. I recently watched a Seth Meyers’ interview with Taylor Swift and most comments were mentioning how good the interview was because Seth mostly just let her talk, seemed genuinely interested and Taylor seemed very comfortable when she isn’t always in interviews and everyone was comparing it to Jimmy’s interviews. Another person I think is really good at this Stephen Colbert. He’s a great interviewer and is very thoughtful about follow up questions and one of the few who don’t seem creepy with young female celebs. I was a kid when Oprah had her show so I never watched. Yep. Macauley Culkin, THE child actor, spent so much time with Michael and said Michael never so much as hugged him for too long. He said Michael asked Macauley to treat him as a friend and an equal, and so he did, and Michael was one of the greatest friends he's ever had. He said he never met a more respectful person in his life and eventually Michael crumbled under the horrific pressure, became a recluse, and addicted to drugs to numb his physical and emotional pain.
I used to think MJ had to be guilty because of how people talked about it. I realized over time anyone actually close to him did nothing but praise and respect a talented and humble man.

I've never liked Oprah, ever since I was a teen. I don't remember the name of the family or the boy, but basically a boy went missing when he was eight or nine and was held captive between two men for ... something like ten years. Oprah invited the family onto the show with a promise of getting the parents professional help for their son, and they agreed under one condition. That Oprah didn't ask them or their son about SA. Their son hadn't been open about it with anyone, even though everyone suspected that's why he was held captive. Partway through the interview, Oprah said, verbatim, "I'm just gonna come out and say it. Do you think he was SAed?" The parents started crying, clearly didn't want to answer, and it was just horrendous. Absolutely monstrous thing to ask them on live television. I was 14 at the time and even at that age I remember thinking, "What tf was that, Oprah?"

My son showing me footage of numerous court cases and interviews was a "WOW"!!! factor!! My head was spinning and (whew!) ppl can be EVIL like the devil! He said that MJ was nothing but kind and nice to him and that he felt awful that such a beautiful person had his whole life and career destroyed bc his father was greedy for money and the attorney he had hired right after the allegation came out! Mr. Chandler was a dentist and he took his own life with a gun shot to the brain after the death of MJ in 2009
From the time my son was born
all he knew was MJ, PRINCE and STEVIE NICKS! They are my favorites. He said to me, "Ma? You know how I feel about him. I don't want to defend him bc I love his music but bc I know he's innocent and I'm going on a quest to prove my theory that he is indeed an innocent man"!

That moment felt terrifying, and I was in complete shock and still blame myself for being involved with someone who I never thought would be capable of something like that… hearing her say that and knowing she was molested as a child breaks my heart. Oprah is talking about child abuse, where you’re being groomed. Being groomed is very different. Children who are groomed, have the trust gained, are made to feel special and these abusers are good at doing that. Grooming picks out vulnerable people and when you are made to feel special they can sexually take advantage of you without the use of force. They make you feel like you’re consenting. Being raped by your partner, I’m so sorry, that isn’t the same now. It’s obvious Oprah was separating the general term of rape from actual grooming of underage children.

@@LeilaVividSounds ^^^This. The situation Oprah was referring to in that interview is when it's a close family member or friend doing the assault. It's the slightly off adult who spends a little too much time and attention on one particular child. They give the kid presents, candy, etc... Teach them special "codes" or phrases to use around other adults. Also very sorry it was your partner that did that to you. Hope you're healing OP

@@LeilaVividSounds Thank you. I’m really disturbed by how many people don’t know about grooming for children and how many victims were manipulated into feeling that they “liked” the abuse. Now people are writing everywhere that what Oprah said about this is not true, and it’s going to make so many victims feel shame and alone.
If anyone who was groomed and liked the attention of the abuse at the time the abuse was occurring-you are NOT an anomaly. This happens so often, but many victims don’t talk about it because they feel it’s their fault the abuse happened. You “enjoying” the attention from the abuser was the abuser’s grooming/manipulation. They had psychological power over you to the point where they made you believe you were consenting when you were not. Your brain is not fully developed as a child, so there are abusers that will take advantage of this and mold it the way they want. This is NOT your burden to carry-it is the abuser’s. They knew what they were doing, and you did not. You are a survivor, and you should not carry ANY shame because you did NOTHING wrong. It is solely the abuser’s fault.

Wow! Joy Smith - I have NEVER heard anyone else say this but I believe YOU!!! 💯% I'll NEVER forget in the 80's she had a little Black boy on her show with his Mother, I don't remember the topic, may have been on GIFTED children (I think...) Well, he took HER mic in that way smart, precocious children do things (it was cute) and he began interviewing her...It was ADORABLE! After about 1½ minutes she asked him to give her back the mic and he didn't...That 'COW' leaned over and literally SNARLED at this little boy as she WRENCHED the mic out of his hand, looked at him and said, as though she was talking to an ADULT (through gritted teeth) "This is MY show not YOURS!"... My mouth was literally HANGING open! She never, not for a nanosecond pretended or tried to play it off like she was joking 'cause she WAS NOT! The Mother didn't react, neither did the audience, because it was literally so sudden and completely STARTLING!... And she didn't skip a beat -just went on talking like nothing happened! That's HOW I KNOW you're speaking the TRUTH!!!
