Think about what he said, that he doesn't really let people drive his RX7... u got a huge opportunity there, and glad you soaked it in and made the best of it (while returning his car in 1 piece lol). I also got a ride in a red FD about 2 years ago, but it wasn't really that exciting. Dude was also around or below the 300HP mark, but I stayed around a rotary builder and dyno tuner for too long, and I saw all the flaws in the red FD 😔I preferred my RX8 over that FD. And again, it depends what experience you get, how well-put-together it is, etc. etc... one of the first things you need to do if u get an FD is to do something about the rat's nest vacuum system on that car... it is terrible to troubleshoot, and one of the leading factors of problems with the turbo system and reliability from what I've noticed while being at dyno tuning sessions and such. I would love to get my RX8 on 7PSI of boost, but need a good tuner not to blow it up. They say the Renesis isn't meant for boost, which is true, but I've rebuilt mine to prep it for boost, just can't find a good turbo kit (might need to custom fab stuff), and the biggest issue, finding a tuner that's still around.
