  • I'm currently developing a better Pellet Extruder to directly compete with filament extruder.
I'm calling it Materium Pellet Extruder. It does retraction very well, without Pressure Advance necessary.
I Apologize if this video is unclear. More will be elaborated soon.

Can you make a video going more in depth into your extruder and pellet delivery design? There's a guy @greenboy3d who's been toying with the same concept, It'd be interesting to compare your approaches.

best thing to do is to make this into filament !! may be a thick filament and ship with a filament thinner machine to make the filament thinner !!

I have honestly thought of this as well. But in actual filament production machine, the 'thinning' part is actually the biggest and most expensive section.
Also, the freedom to experiment with exotic material is gone- since you're again back to the limits of your hotend.
I have also tried the big filament machine to make from PET recycle, and it keeps snapping after a few meters of extrusion, so i think directly printing it is the good way.
