- Today I am showing you my living room Spatial Audio setup with Apple Music and Sonos. It consists of two Sonos Era 300, 1 Sonos Arch and 1 Sonos Sub. This makes the setup have the best Spatial Audio experience.

It’s very expensive, but it does look like an epic, minimal and integrated setup.
This video is all about Sonos speaker system. Truth is there are some amazing speaker systems out there. But in order to use them you need the room and a whole set up to accommodate them properly which until this day may be a challenge for most people. Things like windows room size and shape the presence of the furniture the distance from between them the screen size and placement etc etc etc.
Apple has missed an incredible opportunity to create true spatial audio in TV rooms using their products.
I think they may be onto something with the Apple Vision Pro. Especially if it is able to read your room like it says it did in the announcement, it is possible that they are using it with the Spatial Metadata for Dolby Atmos. I have a feeling they will implement something better besides headphones eventually, or at least partner with another brand to do so.

I use Apple TV 4K + Sony HT A9 and it‘s pretty well for Spatial Audio. For Hi-Res i prefer my ELACs Navi ARF 51 with iPad and Sennheiser HDVD 800 as DAC.

No, apple allows that only for Homepods. I have selected TV speakers as standard output and connected the same setup with HDMI ARC

If you buy Sonos arc with two era 100 and sub mini, you will save a lot of money and they will still sound amazing.
2 subs mini would be better since bass balance across room is better. And in the end the most balanced bass adds more depth to the sounds rhen any spatial can add with firing up.

Got the same setup it’s pretty good especially with atoms.
You do have to go into your settings on your Apple TV box to enable both atoms and Spatial Audio / lossless and it needs to be hard wired through a HDMI to get it but it’s worth it to get lossless sound ..

@@arisgrandeurie3606 hdmi is for data transmission, it delivers both audio and video. I can deliver atmos with arc/earc compatible ports

Your set up isn’t a true atmos setup because of missing dedicated height channels. I’ve a 7.1.2 sonus faber set up and trust me it’s just a surreal experience with true dolby atmos!!
True, as a Sonos owner I do wish they allowed us to add ceiling speakers to an atmos setup. Hoping an update comes in the future 🙏🏾

It’s a true Dolby Atmos setup implemented differently. The same as someone may say you don’t have true Atmos as you need 4 height channels
What would your opinion be on a high end stereo/2 channel versus a great Sonos system?
AirPlay is limited in bit depth and sampling rate anyway (and actually has shown to be lossy at times)

Sonos are struggling and Apple could turn it around and even make a budget friendly system .
Let us use minimal 3 HomePods for dolby atmos
If Apple was smart they would use the beats pill with usb c and Spatial Audio and make the speaker transparent like the beats buds also doing it with beats it won’t lock down to just iOS devices

I’d rather the Sonos architectural setup with actual speakers in the roof firing downward for proper atmos. End of the day, no electric and software mimicking directional sound will sound as a good as proper speakers installed and firing in the right direction. Our ears are not made of digital components

Yes it needs to be hardwired through an Apple box .
Otherwise it’s lossy

Haha if one speaker beats two speakers, buying two speakers doesn't increase the quality at all. That is some crazy math though haha. Only thing it might increase is your price tag.

What about Amazon Music? They offer it way longer.
Sonos is nothing near to the sound of a Samsung Soundbar Atmos system. Its unmatched. Harman engineers for Samsung have the best sound quality and loudness going. But Sonos isn’t too bad too just more of a gadget than a sound system!

To be honest i dont like the spatial audio of apple airpods 2. Spatial audio of it is not mind blowing, it feels like a normal mp3 audio, it just a gimmick.
