Jack checked mileage on both peenwee and Louise cars. At times together same days on days they'd takeoff for a while the mileage was so close they'd had to drove and met.
Big Daddy, I would strongly recommend you pick up Mike Elam's book about Buford Pusser: The True Story! They were ALL in the same web of operations, but there are so many UNTRUTHS and exaggerations about the Hathcocks and Pusser! 1. W.O. Hathcock's club WAS NOT a casino! They just had an old piece of table nailed to the wall they'd occasionally shoot dice on PRIVATELY, but not a house game! 2. Liquor by the drink was in effect and the TRUTH IS, it was cheaper selling booze LEGALLY than it was illegally, though that hardly mattered. Pusser and all of his deputies were bootleggers. 3. Buford Pusser was indicted and extradited from Illinois for a robbery and attack of the Hathcock club! Buford and his two friends damned near killed Hathcock to rob him! 4. Buford and his wife were separated at the time of her death! She'd been living in a motel in a nearby town because the word was, Buford was abusive! Why in the hell would she get up before dawn to go with him on a call at an unGodly hour?! Sure looks like Buford killed her himself being that he refused to go to the funeral, refused to see the recorded services and highly complained about having to purchase a wig for his wife so they could have an open casket funeral for the kids! He blew her head off! That's just a couple of the things that startled me! No doubt, Doug White was a criminal! So was Louise, but no worse than Buford!

It is very informative. BTW, this is a good video and what you said at the end especially rings true..."There's two sides to every story". Thanks.
You speak of the movie.... IMHO, based on evidence and what people have told me, the "Movie" was a pack of lies. Created only to sell movie tickets and promote different things. Pusser was not the "Angle" he was portrayed in the movies. Yes, they were very good movies if one likes that type stuff. Sad thing is, so many took the movies as 100% truth. They are not.
