The Brutality of Umbara (Part 1) [4K HDR] - Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Vložit
- čas přidán 1. 11. 2023
- An edited sequence clip of the most brutal campaigns in the entire war, taken straight from the beautifully remastered 4K HDR Clone Wars Upscaled Cut, "The Battle of Umbara Film Cut"
A full 4K HDR (and 1080p) upscale of the entire series, also taking all but 9 episodes and re-cutting them seamlessly into feature films for every single arc. Have a favorite arc? Order 66? The Rako Hardeen Deception Arc? Mortis? The Nightsisters? Yoda's Journey? Maul's Revenge? This project converts the entire TV show into the definitive theatrical experience, perfect for your nice 4K HDR theater setup.
I have also reordered the episodes to fit a (mostly) chronological order based on the entire series official order list. This fixes many, many continuity problems for those who get confused when they watch it in viewing order. There are some minor alterations to the official episode order to make these arcs work as films, but any changes to the official chronological order are small (Putting Maul's Season 4 and 5 arcs into a single epic 3 hour cut, moving the lone episode "A Friend in Need" up a bit in the timeline to fit with the Heroes on Both Sides arc. Making Cad Bane's seasons 1-3 arc into a single supercut). The rest of the alterations follow the official continuity order (2 season 1 and 2 episodes are now part of the extended Clone Wars Theatrical Film Cut due to them being part of the Battle of Christophsis, ect. ect.) and greatly enhance the show's viewing experience.

I can’t imagine how… displeased Anakin was when he learned about Krell throwing away the lives of HIS men
If Dogma didn't kill him, Anakin would have.
Anakin would absolutely annihilate him had he knew of what's happening there 😂
@@shaansingh7629 I don't know about the killing, but when Krell would have been put in Republican jails, I am pretty sure Anakin would have tried to "interrogate" him before he's brought to the courts. Anakin's interrogations, as anyone can know is severely painful for the one on the receiving end.
Anakin would have force choked him or beat him to a pulp.
@@nightelf2487just ask Poggle. He would know.
This is pretty much the scene where krell realized rex was going to be a problem and started to take a less direct and more cunning approach to his plans.
Even Anakin wasn't this Wreckless he would of done a stealthier approach and minimize Clone Casaulties
@@haydenfowle7576 indeed. Captain sobel type.
@@eliteofthe9136 Cody and Obi Wan would never purposely put their troops in harms way and they are more stringent then Rex and Anakin and the 4 work together so often throughout the course of the war imagine if Anakin and Mundi worked together Rex and Bacara would be at odds with command structure or Vos and Anakin Rex and Faie would really be at each other's throats
@@haydenfowle7576 well let's not forget plo koon. The wolf pack loved him because he cared about his men.
@@eliteofthe9136 Rex and Wolffe also get along if Anakin and Plo worked together
The most unrealistic part is that during the battle none of the mines were triggered
lol good point
I always wondered were the mines went
It's possible that the enemy could've automatically shut down the mines in case one of their men got caught on one of them.
@@dragonfire4527 only reasonable excuse
I saw a few go off during the battle. There were explosions that didn't have the rushing sound beforehand like the Umbaran shells did.
fives killing the umbarab was cold

I know right?
I mean, what's he suppose to do? Tuck in the Umbaran and read him a bedtime story?
@@AnakinJared not really but that he basically make him choke and then proceed to blast him 4 times in the face after point blank range sure is brutal. A single shot would have been more of a mercy.
@@MNM-lq9teThe umbarans fought with as much if not more fierceness and brutality. They deserved all of it.
@@HugeDanielMc ok
The single best arc next to the final for me. Perfect allusion to ‘Nam and all kinds of guerrilla warfare.
I always thought this arc was like the republic’s version of Vietnam as a kid

that's why he's the GOAT!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I liked how the whole Umbara arc looked like a war movie!
Really, as mentioned below: "Space Nam" is and by far the second best Arc in the series. I hate watching this but love the tenacity of the clones and the bravery of Captain Rex.
Malevolen Creek
never forget our fallen brothers at the creek
fun fact blue blaster bolts are best against droids while red for organics so it would've been cool to see the clones using the red bolts
Never heard that lore before. Care to elaborate? Also in that case what does green mean?
@@GTron13 green is the most powerful but expensive thats why its only on starfighters
@@bake4795so are the Umbarans using heavier weapons? Since their blaster bolts are green?
apparently@@razor6827
@@razor6827 yeah
When you think about it the Umbarans should have won. Reasons ?
1. Theres mines so Clones dont know where to walk
2. The Umbarans Ambushed them
3. An UmbaranvArtillery Position that the Clones Cant even see
4.The Clones are surrounded with no Cover
5. General Krell was sabotaging them as well
6. Advanced Weapons
7. Dangerous Wildlife
@@Skyline_r3496 exactly though i didnt even think about that but you are right
Crazy how the Umbarans would have not too long ago have been fighting on the side of the Republic. Also, never send troops on an unsecured open road that is prone to enemy ambush and always use air support, something that tends to be underused despite the Republic having massive naval fleets orbiting overhead.
My friend, you apparently don’t know something.
The fact that Krell sent forward a vanguard detachment, on the contrary, is an excellent idea, as he did not set up all the other forces in an ambush. Walking through the jungle where there is constant fog is also not safe and even more dangerous than walking on the road.
Rex did the most terrible thing a vanguard could do, surrendered his position and retreated straight to the main forces, seeing their exact positions and forcing Krell to throw people into the battle on the march.
@@chopper3940 But the Republic had their own probe droids they could have used as scouts. I'm not sure why we don't see them being implemented often.
@@chopper3940 did you actually watch the episode? Krell is literally trying to get them all killed he is a traitor. His insistance of a frontal assault is because he is trying to get them all slaughtered lmao. There is a reason his battalion has one of the if not the biggest casualty rates.
@@ozansimsek1660 Yes, I've watched this episode more than once, and I've also completely dismantled this arch.
The only time Crell actually tried to kill the clones was when the clones themselves attacked him. At the first moment, as I already wrote, Rex broke the order and did not complete the tasks that the vanguard was supposed to perform, retreating himself, personally putting the unit at risk of accurate enemy strikes. When fighting in the gorge, Krell made the most of his resources, not only trying to teach Rex a lesson, but also collecting information from the battle. At another point, 3 clones were hijacked by Umbaryan stormtroopers and personally flew away from the base, which could also set up the entire unit. Later, when information about a droid subversive group came in, Krell sent troops to find the saboteurs, and the only problem with the clones was that they were not convinced who opened friendly fire to them through their own fault. And later, with no significant evidence at all, they staged a mutiny, where Krell could simply say that he didn't do it, and maybe it was poor coordination of forces, and then Rex and the clones involved in the rebellion would be tried in court.
Yes, Krell has the worst losses among the Jedi, but by contrast, he became the Republic's most successful general without losing a single operation.
@@chopper3940 ...are you mentally ill? Krell literally admits to everything when he is captured. Also "broke the order" motherfucker he and his men were sent into a direct ambush from almost all sides. Of course he is going to save as many as he can by retreating. Never thought I'd see a Pong Krell fanboy in my life but here we are I guess.
I think hardcase and wrecker would have gotten along quite well together

Honestly the Umbarans fought better and smarter than the Republic even before Krell started fucking things up.
3:02-3:07 his name is Rex and he’s not some droid he’s a man
I love this story ark it was all about the clones
Honestly, my most watched ark out of all the show, I love it so much.
Gotta rock with Rex and the gang man. Order 66 was very unfortunate. Fives a legend.
I always umbara is the space version of Vietnam. But at least our Vietnam had sunlight
Look this scene is cool but how the FUCK did they not all die at the beginning, they were completely surrounded and had no cover.
plot armor, its simple
They had single firing weapons not automatic fire
@@unkon129Or the fact they single shot weapons not automatic firingn
@@bullbuster944 So did the clones, I imagine full vs. semi-automatic wouldn't be that big of a deal a laser gun anyways.
@patheticbread6861 It's just the area that can be covered with automatic fire. You have to be precised with semi firing weapons, whereas automatic weapons only need the general direction and a big enough magazine.
Feels likes space Vietnam
What if kenobi took temporary command but Rex was the ‘on site’ commander,
If you’re in the kill zone you gotta get out of there then engage the targets because this is where they aimed everything ahead of time at. Pong Krell was so badass which we saw more of him and his turn to the dark side
Pong Krell is like Republic equivalent of Grievious.
YOO, I just realized that this voice actor is LEE from the walking dead video game series
Space nam!
It was a warzone and krell says feeble minded clones
God damn space Vietnam
Was Jesse one step away from the mine Fives had literally just pointed out at 0:55?
When the tree start speaking Umbaran
If detecting mines is that easy, why weren't they doing that from the start?? These are supposed to be grizzled veterans, and they were literally talking about traps earlier. Unnecessary casualties
we all came for 1:34
1:30 if there is something close to mma in the Star Wars universe Rex should go out for that
Fives, but yes
It’s like the Vietnam war in Star wars
Why does every dude with a gun run toward the enemy

Respectfully, this scene cheesed me as a 13 ye old. If u already had a mine detection device, why didn’t I use it from the start instead of waiting to maybe be known up first. Especially if y’all was just strolling down with no guns fired
Why didn't the clone use ATTE's or other heavy weaponry?
Probably didn’t have it at the time being, and getting huge walkers might either take longer than the time they need, or getting sniped by the enemy being transported in flight (and the Umabra people had some powerful weaponry). Also since Krell was around, he wouldn’t allow cause he hates the clones.
The waiting umbars simply did not allow large ground vehicles to move quickly. The Republic's technology is simply not prepared for this, unlike the Umbarian technology, which is prepared for such terrain. Only AT-RT light reconnaissance walkers were effective in such terrain; for this purpose, a bunch of ARF units were pulled into Umbara.
It's like sending a tank Platoon in a dense jungle
Ist in Order 66?
No this is way before order 66 which is at end of the war if that helps answer your question .
