fromsoftware likes to put interesting weapons in their games only to nerf them to oblivion and make them nearly useless. all the good features of whips pale in comparison to their abysmal durability. 3 or 4 hits and you have to switch to another lest you break it. frankly i'm tired of playing always the same 4-5 weapons because they're the only ones that are actually reliable.

I love whips for PvP. My favorite moment in DS2 was defeating an invader in mid-air as they tried to plunge attack me. DS2 PvP is so much fun.
