This is literally how I was raised and completely forgotten about it brings back memories for me
And...... I LOVE the way you talk TO us and not AT us. It’s as though we’re chatting face to face 🤗. You’re just adorable 💞
TIP!!!! When you have a used vanilla bean put it in your powered sugar! have a separate container for it! you'll love it! Tasty whipped cream!!
Best way to spend relaxation time on Sunday is spending it with Becky ❤️
Oh how your video brought me joy and a moment of peace! My husband is in the hospital with no indication of when we will go home. Thank you so much for this video! You made my day!
I do want to clarify that Sugar Beets *can be* a GMO crop but unlike corn which almost always is beets aren't necessarily (though it is very common).
Why is this important? Sugar Beets can be grown pretty much anywhere, unlike Sugar Cane which has to be imported from the tropics (leading to both environmental costs, and human rights issues). So for those of us who are trying to buy local/regional Beet Sugar can be a good choice. It really comes down to personal values.
In one of your videos you were asking which mixer to buy. I have a professional model Kitchen Aide and then bought a Bosch I will say the kitchen aide cannot match the bower of a Bosch plus you can make multiple loaves of bread in a Bosch and it never bogs down plus I have burned out 2 kitchen aides and I still have my Bosch Mixer which has given me no problems. As far as looks I find My Bosch to look modern and clean on the counter
Hello Becky I work 2 jobs and don’t get to watch much tv. I put on your CZcams videos between jobs and when I get home. Thanks for all your knowledge I’m learning g a lot. I have plans to can and freeze dry garden this year thanks to your videos. I plan to save some money and feed my family !!
You are about 5 years younger than my daughter. I love watching your videos. You and Josh are awesome.
When u decide to have children... ur going to be an amazing Mother. Your children will know and understand the how to harvest food and sustain without the need for a grocery store. I'm 44 and I think ur Amazing!!
Hi Becky.
I don't know if you know how to make your own Brown Sugar.
Its Sugar And Molasses. The more Molasses you add the darker it will be. Also to stop Brown Sugar from hardening up you can buy a terracotta bear at bed bath & beyond. Or if you have a broken terracotta pot you can just make sure you wash it really good and just drop it in there with the brown sugar and it does the same thing.
I have make powered sugar before and love it. I need to try the brown sugar. I also have a recipe for making sweetened condensed milk and it works in recipes just like the canned one.
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup powered milk
1/2 cup boiling water
3 Tbsp melted butter
Put into blender and blend for 1 minute.
Yield 14 oz (same as can)
Always works for me.
Thanks for sharing this recipe!!
Oh! I need to try this!!!
I make a keto version of this and it tastes just like the regular ones.
@@butterflyforeve would you share your recipe with us please?
I’m going to have to try this sweeten condensed milk;
Great Info. First time I've seen your nails natural. I love how you always have polish on and work with your hands. I don't have much luck with polish.
What kind of blender do you use. I really am excited to try this.
I bought some powdered Monk Fruit sugar that was very expensive. With these instructions I can make my own which will save beaucoup bucks.
For years I only used powdered sugar to make whipped cream for pies at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I had one extra large bag of powdered sugar last me probably 7-10 years! At the time I didn’t realize it had a starch in it or I wouldn’t have kept using it all those years since starches can go bad. Still it’s funny every year I would pull out that same ancient bag of powdered sugar. It was sort of sad the day it was all used up. All the holidays it had been a part of with family no longer here. :’(
Thank you Becky. Didn't know all that info about commercial powdered sugar
That is so easy . I use more powdered sugar than normal sugar so now I know what to do with my extra sugar when it starts to get clumpy . I live in high humidity
I found out about this last year cause I ran out. I just used my little electric coffee grinder - had to really clean the coffee out - but it came out in 15 seconds.
Wow thanks for sharing. Didn't know it was that easy to make. Ive ran out before and just don't make recipes because I didn't want to run to the store
I tried a few times and it was still more granular then store bought. I did make it without corn starch and mine did clump. I have been more successful with cinnamon powdered sugar because we use them on homemade doughnuts. Going to try again but so much more successful with brown sugar.
this is good to know. Also the brown sugar hack is good to know. Thank you for sharing.
I find I can always find something new to learn in your videos
I meant to thank you some months back. I learned about Azure through the description box on one of your videos.
Thank you for that, this and the other videos you've done. Have a great day.👍
So fun! I needed this. I don't know how many times I've had to make a special trip to the grocery store to pick up powdered sugar. Thanks for sharing, Becky ❣️
You are so welcome!
@@AcreHomestead Hey Becky!
I was really wondering if You had the details of that instrumental-track that has the soft drums, piano, acoustic guitar etc..
You have great taste!! from Auckland, NZ
Wow so simple.. who knew! Thanks !😃
I had no idea! Thanks!! 👏
You are amazing. I NEVER would have thought to make my own… thank you
Becky is always teaching me new things!!
Great idea!
Great info.
Thank you.
Thanks so much for sharing! I would've never thought it was this easy!
So excited for this video! I love your channel ❤️
In addition to being non-GMO, I purchase organic cane sugar to avoid the processing faux pas of “bone char processing“ that they use for regular white sugar. I’m vegan so prefer not to involve bone char in the processing of sugar. Great video!
I look so forward to all your positive videos! Every time I hear Hi Friends!! ❤️ My heart fills with happiness!!
Great value and so empowering! Thanks.
Thank you for the info. I never get too old to learn.
Loved learning this from you!
This is great ! Thanks Becky I’m going to try this. 🥰
Where the heck was this video when all the stores were out of powdered sugar before Christmas?! 😂
It was crazy & I wasn’t the only one looking for it.
Thanks soooo much for the ‘how to’!
Love your tips and tricks. So helpful.
Thank you! It is amazing!
So easy! I’ll definitely do this when I need some
How neat ! Thanks for sharing ☺️
My pleasure :)
Awesome Ms Becky
Becky, thank you so much! I never even thought about making it! How awesome!
I didn't even know it was an option to make my own. Thank you Becky.
Have you ever considered make a series about kitchen utensils and utilities? What someone who just got married and started to "build" a kitchen may need or find interesting to have, what you find useless and stuff like that. And recipes that need those utensils and utilities, of course.
Loveee the explanations !(:
Wow , this is so helpful!!! Thank you !!
Just like that SoilSista! Great lesson... Thanks for sharing we appreciate you 🎂
Loving your videos, you're a smart cookie!
You have encouraged me to get into gear. Thank you so much for all your ideas.
Thank you for sharing this so informative
Thank you Becky! You are a Rock star
I love simplicity thank you for sharing!! 🌺🌼🌺
Short and so helpful video! thank you - going to make my own from now on!
This was great thanks for the information. 💚

This is exactly the video I was looking for !
Hi Becky! Love your videos! Wow that is so easy to make. Thank you!
Thank you for watching! It means the world to me!!
@@AcreHomestead everytime you upload a new video I'm there LOL you have inspired me to want to do so much that I thought I couldn't do myself at home.
I’ve been binging your videos for about a week now. I’m really enjoying your content and you’ve inspired me a lot with food processing. Thank you for making good, quality videos, that make it very easy for other to learn. I appreciate it.
Oh my goodness! Thank you!
So excited for this video Becky! Love your channel ❤️
Aw thank you!!
As someone who has autoimmune food intolerances (specifically corn!) I really appreciate this. The "organic" powdered sugar with tapioca starch is stupidly expensive 😫
Oh great video. Thank you.
My husband's favorite salad dressing was discontinued, Raspberry poppy seed, so I learned to make it from scratch.....he says it's better than the store bought.
Recipe?
@@MFaith777 ,Yes of course....
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoon of poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 clove of garlic finely chopped
6-8 tablespoons of raspberrie juice
Blend, bottle, refrigerate will keep for a week ( but it won't last that long, lol.)
I use frozen raspberries, add to pot, add a little water and cook, strain, I keep the unused portion of the juice in the freezer .
Good afternoon. Thank you never knew how to make this. Thanks for the tip.Wonderful tutorial.
I never knew how powdered sugar was made. Thank you for letting us know.
I've never even thought about making my own icing sugar. What a great suggestion, and thank you for the thought-provoking information 🥰
Such a great idea!!! Added to my list and I’ll have to do a video for my followers! Such a great idea!!
I love the videos about making ingredients that I never realized I could make. Thank you! The voice over, during the blender was nice.
I use my food processor and it really makes a quick job of it. Thanks for this great tip.
First Azure order comes this week. I'm so excited. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe it's true there's so many times you need powdered sugar and you don't want to run to the store for it thanks again and have a wonderful day 👍
Thank You so much!
❤️❤️❤️ Thank you! Aloha🥰
My mom told me she grew up doing this but I've never tried it. Now that I use mostly organic products I will definitely give it a try because you're absolutely right, it's SOOO expensive in the store!!
I literally ran out of it and needed it for a recipe today. Did not have time to run to the store. Thanks for posting this video!
I have a Ninja blender and I did powder sugar in it a while ago. I think I needed to let it blend for a few minutes more though because it looked done but was still a little grainy when I used it.
I love that you show us a little of everything! You're my favorite youtuber!
Wow that is so sweet :) Thank you!
I want to take some of my homemade maple syrup, turn it into maple sugar, and then try turning some of the sugar into powdered sugar 🙂 It should work!
Thank you so much for sharing about this! I never knew that difference in the “sugar” and “cane sugar” I see on packaging.
That's great for when I run out! Or if I want my own :) thanks becky x
Wow, this is so awesome! And looks easy. I never knew you could make this. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos 🙂
Awesome tutorial Thanks so much got to make my own now!! ❣️
I love your tips and how to’s.
Nice! I needed powdered sugar over the weekend and didn’t think about making some!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. I now have homemade brown sugar and powdered sugar thanks to you!!
I watched this and will definitely make it, however I did watch the brown sugar one right afterwards and I made that one today! It was so easy to do and love your easy steps and info you provide!
Very informative...thank you
Good afternoon Becky everytime I want to make or bake something I always watch your videos thanks for the contents
Wow Thank you!
Hey Becky! Thank you for this! I always feel so empowered when I watch your videos 🥰❤️ Question, what made you choose tapioca starch over potato starch? I just bought potato starch & now I'm wondering if I bought the wrong thing...
I learn so much from you!
Yes. And engineering too. Thank you for this.
Great DIY.
We make cream of rice cereal the same way. Like you, when we wanted to make Cream of Rice cereal we could not find it in the stores, so thought, why not, make it ourselves. It is quite fun.
I have known how to make powdered sugar since I was a kid, so I didn't really need to watch this. I still spent 4 minutes on this though, because you are just really relaxing and comforting :D
Thank you!
@@AcreHomestead no thank you! :D
You!! Ridiculous how much stuff ive learned! Recently subbed to your Channel and I'm very impressed!
