- Officials in a Northern California community canceled an annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration as an estimated 26,000 residents remained displaced by a growing wildfire, while hundreds of firefighters toiled under extreme heat to keep flames from reaching more homes. Ginger Conejero Saab reports.

Stop crying and get out on the fronts to help put out the fire
After working in forestry for over thirty years, I know a little about fires and forest management to keep them at a minimum.
*AND CALIFORNIA?* Is doing exactly what they *_SHOULDN'T_* be doing! When you don't allow any logging of the older dead trees (and there's a LOT of them for many reasons) you supply massive amounts of fuel for a fire.
Even if they would go in to clean the forest floor a little, it would help. Instead California bans any type of management, almost *_BEGGING_* for massive fires!
Let this sink in..... California is the *_ONLY_* state where insurance companies are canceling fire insurance for homeowners! And there are *MANY STATES* that have the same amount (or more) of forest acreage and dry heat!

There is a ocean not too far away. Build pipelines for the water to be close and constant it has to be more costly to keep the way it's been
genius idea, build a 230 mile pipeline to salt the earth and make the land there impossible to sustain any plant life. Surely every city in that county won't be wiped out by mudslides when there are no root anchors holding the ground in place.
