The lady reporter, Rachel, got it right.
23,000 of us evacuated
Fire blew up in a couple of hours.
The town of Oroville is ok, the communities of Kelly Ridge, Mt Ida, vulnerable.

Glad y'all made it out ok. Sorry for anyone who lost homes etc. My prayers for y'all and anyone in it's path.
@@DesertRat5073 Thank you. It seems 7 FF were injured. Some were in a fire truck that blew a tire, rolled over on its roof. I haven't heard of any citizen injuries @ fire or evac.
What about camping areas around Lake Oroville? Kelly Point looks like it could be cut off. With tomorrow being the Fourth of July, camping areas might be near capacity.

This is frightening. Seems like fires are the new normal now days. I owned a house in Oroville 10 years ago. There was never a problem with fires back then. I pray for you to find strength and to be safe. 🙏🏼
Just like Hawaii, strange.
Safe your pets. Don’t be selfish and try and wait it out and then you aren’t allowed to get them .
If you don’t treat your pet like family, you shouldn’t have them
@crustydood7281
Well one thing is for sure, your username is very fitting. Second of all, a pet is a PET. Not apart of your family, it would be insane to ask people to potentially get themselves killed if they do happen to lose track of their pet. I am absolutely sick of people putting their pets lives over the lives of their fellow human, and even their children or family. A pet is on the lowest hierarchy of a family, it is not equal to a child or family member. You can replace a dog a hundred times, but you can never replace or even replicate a family member or child.
I got my dog when I was homeless and we hitch hiked across the country more 6 times together. What my dog an I went through is far beyond just some random dog you leave in a back yard 12 hours out of the day. We actually have memories and looked out for each other, I can’t replace that with another dog. Now that Im a chef de partie with my own place she can rest easy for her senior years. I’d gladly go through hell and back for my dog, sorry you don’t have that kinda relationship with your “pets”

Why does this look like the common non blue roof fires of California and Hawaii? Cars burning but trees good, pattern??
Thank You!
Thankful for our firefighters.
As someone who had to evac during the #CampFire of 2018 that burned 90% of the Town of Paradise, pix like these are like Deja vu…
I lived through the paradise fire too it was all lit by direct energy weapons notice the houses and the vehicles burn but the trees don't
Ooooh Thank you for say that!!
it blew up to 2,000 acres in just 5 hours, 24 hours later it's at 3,500 acres and least 3 homes burned. and 13,000 people evaced. This fire is only 20 minutes from me by car.
That's nice! But why do you wanna get there by car?🤨
How about walking instead?🤔
Let me guess anything the color blue was spared from the fire❤❤
If you live in CA, you will always be near a fire.
Isn’t Oraville only about 35 miles away from Paradise? Yikes, I hope most of these people still had home insurance because I’ve heard about so many getting canceled in the past year or so.
@@bestiefswlady5251 I'm in Chico, but yes it's close to Paradise as well. It's not heading that way winds blowing other direction.

Agreed
I'm praying everyone makes it out safe
after the Paradise fire, California residents know when they are told GO to GO. Losing everything is horrible but do not die to try to beat fires. over 100 degrees today, everyone is on alert.
Depends. In some cases, the pain, anguish, money, and efforts to "start again" just aren't worth it. 😕 I, for one--if I lived there and was threatened by losing it all--I'd stay. And yes, I'd remain FULLY aware of my upcoming Fate. And I'd embrace it, baby. 💪😎✌️ 🔥🔥🔥

notice the trees are still standing and not burned. The houses are a bigger threat than the trees.
Doesn’t make sense
@@mizb.9170 Look at most urban or suburban fires, the houses burn, the wooden fences burn, the outbuildings burn, they catch the trees on fire. I would dare say the burning embers from these things are more responsible than the living plant material. Yes, vegetative detritus is a problem
(i.e., leaves, bark, etc.). Some exceptions are some of the palms.

It's curious why metal cars burning but not the trees
fuel?
Kind if like what happened in Maui several months ago. Super intense fires to melt metal but not to incinerate a tree close by. Heat waves in California are not new but the way they generate rapidly and intensely does seem different.
Let me guess: PG&E’s faulty equipment is to blame again? And the Gov. office signed off on the safety inspection again???

@@tapeglue8315 You need to be informed and stop acting like this is not that case. California is such a corrupt state. Amazing how the trees aren't burning just like all the other massive fires.. cars trucks burning but not trees? Cars aren't flammable like that . Our higher ups are involved. Edw
Yep
There are certain species of trees that are more fire resistant (not fire proof) than most people know. Been here 16 years and have seen fires start by a fool and fireworks right in front of my eyes with same tree results. The West has a lot of tree species like this since wildfires are very common every year in the West and trees developed resistance a very long time ago. But trees east of the Rockies will burn just like anything else in a wildfire since there are no fire resistant species.
Cars have gasoline, making them flammable
Let me guess you also believe the earth is 6000 years old-
Trees especially the Oaks have water held in the trunk. The bark may burn but a healthy tree has a chance. At least that is what I heard.
Looks a lot like what happened in Hawaii !
May God bless our firefighters 🚒 🙏🙏🙏🙌

Uhm... natural disasters are happening everywhere. People hear about a California fire and act like nowhere else is suffering. I guess hurricanes, flooding and tornadoes no longer exist.
i hear fireworks during triple digits temperature and nobody cares to stop it,, here in north California
Santa Ana will have so many all night tonight, the fourth. We can hear fireworks and see the smoke here in Irvine.
And in Southern California, too...perhaps all over. People are not using their brains!
Looks like the Maui fire, Paradise fire and Malibu fire. Amazing the trees are still untouched by a so forest fire that burned houses to the ground.
It's called hot, dry wind. This is nothing new in this part of the country.
At least Ukraine got another money drop. Too bad we can’t pay for water planes to fight fires here.
Normal fires don't incinerate homes and leave the trees standing. Once again like Lahaina and Paradise
🙄
Oh stop with your conspiracies and acknowledge that climate change is real!

Tis the season of fire bugs. Every year for a century. The only thing different this year isn't the announcement of more mental health care facilities but the announcement that carbon is responsible and the only solution is to tax it. This maybe the first arson report of the year that doesn't have a WEF or UN description of global warming as the cause of forest fires.
USAF starts the fires - not fire bugs!

What's the point in having a home in California if the odds of it surviving 30 years of natural disasters are super low?
This is like thinking that every house in Florida gets wiped out by every hurricane. 😂
3000 acres. Because the fire season is actually quiet this smallish fire is making big news. Hawaii, Texas, Alaska all had crazy fire seasons last year but everyone forgets.
This part of the town is going to look apocalyptic after. I remember seeing a town in Southern Oregon after a fire there. It looks spooky.

I've lived in California since 1971 and never seen these fires like in the last decade. Why don't California install waterhoes like in back yard ???

Fires are no joke, obviously. People light cigarettes, light barbeques, do whatever, not realizing every little flame can turn into something deadly especially if weather conditions are ripe. The lady said how one ember can fly and start a fire in a new spot. Everything burns at different degrees, but to lose everything in a fire, that's a bad day. My suggestion is stop reading into why some things, trees or otherwise, burn and others don't...put your energy into focus for the people who lost everything, and as for nature, well, nature takes care of itself.
Year by year, decade by decade, that area of the state is consistently dying. Trees can regrow but they do not regrow anywhere fast enough. A number of scenic areas up in Nor Cal especially are dying out to a color of dark black and dirty brown.

please, folks, look into Direct energy weapons. This is clearly a fire from this kind of technology. Three key factors: Vehicles are incinerated. This does NOT happen in a natural wildfire. WIth this type of technology, there the presentation of white ash remaining of once was a house. If it were a natural fire there would be presentation of massive amount of black soot. Notice the trees remaining, even though these structures, vehicles were completely melted- the temperatures had to exceed 2600 degrees. This is not a natural wildfire.
